Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a switching device, in particular a door contact switch according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
  • the invention further relates to an arrangement for detecting different positions of a door element according to the preamble of claim 4.
  • the invention relates to a household appliance according to the preamble of claim. 9
  • a function may be provided which turns on or off an interior lighting and / or other electrical loads when opening a door.
  • This function is expediently triggered by means of a so-called.
  • Door contact switch since this can provide a reliable switching signal depending on the open position of the door.
  • Such door contact switches usually comprise a displaceable against the force of a spring actuator, which is in operative connection with an electrical switch. If the door is brought from its closed position to an open position, the actuator, for example. A plunger, which can be moved by spring force, operated. As a result, the switch is triggered and provides opposite the depressed position of the plunger, a different switching signal.
  • Such door contact switches are used in refrigerators switching on an interior lighting and can activate a Garraumbeleuchtung in cooking appliances, as soon as a oven door is opened.
  • Sabbath circuit which prevents switching on a lighting when opening the oven door.
  • Sabbath mode may be desirable or necessary for religious reasons.
  • Processes and devices for operating cooking appliances with a so-called. Sabbath mode include the US 58 08 278 and from the US 60 66 837 known.
  • a manual Influence on certain functions of the cooking device during certain definable periods prevented.
  • the DE 11 44 810 B refers to an electrical, actuated by a door switch for use in furniture pieces, refrigerators od. Like., In particular relates to a multi-part, composite housing whose switching device has a switching element which moves a contact-bearing adapter, the locking means are assigned.
  • An object of the present invention is to be able to easily influence a mechanical switching function when opening a door element of an electrical domestic appliance.
  • a switching device with the features of the preamble of claim 1, characterized in that a plunger of the switching element is rotatable about its longitudinal axis and the operative connection between the switching element and the electrical switch by rotating the plunger is separable ..
  • the switching device according to the invention makes it possible thus deactivating an electrical switching function normally triggered by the switching element as needed.
  • a switching function can be, for example, in a cooking appliance a switchable by opening a oven door cooking chamber lighting.
  • the electrical switching function can cause, for example, the shutdown of an electric hot air blower a muffle opener of a cooking appliance when a door to the cooking chamber is opened.
  • the on and off function for the cooking chamber lighting and / or for other consumers can be deactivated in this way by means of a separation of the active connection between the switching element and the electrical switch.
  • the switching device By means of the switching device according to the invention a variety of switching functions can be triggered.
  • the switching function for example, the lighting of an interior lighting when opening a front door cause an electric cooling device.
  • the separable operative connection between the switching element and the electrical switch can result in the interior lighting no longer being switched on as soon as the door is opened.
  • a particular advantage of the mechanically deactivatable switching function is that can be provided with the help of the switching device according to the invention electrical household appliances that have a so-called. Sabbath function or allow. Since some religions do not allow, during certain periods - eg. During the Sabbath - turn on after dusk, electric lighting, the problem may arise that a cooking appliance, which has a switching function for switching on a cooking compartment lighting when opening the oven door during of the Sabbath can no longer be used. Otherwise, it could happen, for example, that a cooking process was started before dusk and continues beyond that. Opening the oven door would then no longer be possible without first switching off the device. However, restarting the appliance for final cooking would also not be possible since this is also prohibited during the sabbath.
  • the switching device according to the invention now makes it possible in a simple and cost-effective manner to deactivate all such switching functions by separating the operative connection between the switching element and the electrical switch before the cooking process is started.
  • the switching device according to the invention is suitable for installation in all electrical devices in which the opening of a door is to trigger a switching function.
  • Even refrigerators or freezers can be provided in this way with a sabbath function, in which the light is always switched off, even when the door is opened.
  • switching functions can be disabled, which are connected to an opening of a door element.
  • the switching element between its at least two operating positions perform a substantially translational or a rotational movement.
  • this may preferably be a linearly displaceable against spring force ram, which is displaced by contact with the door element.
  • the door element may in particular be an openable housing flap of the household appliance, for example a front door or front flap of a cooking chamber of a cooking appliance or a refrigerator door or the like.
  • the switching device thus forms a door contact switch consisting of a switch, a spring, a housing and a ram, which interactively evaluate the position of the door.
  • the electrical switch can optionally close a contact in a direct manner or else trigger a downstream electrical or electronic unit.
  • the switching element or the plunger When the door element is open or at least partially open, the switching element or the plunger is pushed into its first operating position by the action of the spring force, which thus represents a rest position.
  • the switching element or the plunger When the door element is closed, the switching element or the plunger is pressed into its second operating position.
  • the electrical switch can in particular identify a displaceable switching pin, which can be actuated by a cam on the outer circumference of the displaceable plunger.
  • the cam on the outer circumference of the displaceable plunger must therefore not describe the entire circumference of the plunger, but only a circumferential segment, so that the operative connection between the actuatable switching pin of the switch and the displaceable plunger is separated by simply rotating the plunger.
  • a simple rotation of the plunger a user can thus actively or passively switch the door interrogation.
  • An advantageous variant can provide that two or more cams are provided on the outer circumference of the plunger so that an activation or deactivation of the door contact switch is made possible by a respective rotation of the plunger by an angle of, for example, approximately 90 degrees.
  • These at least four different angular positions of the plunger are preferably defined by a suitable locking element, which can prevent inadvertent rotation of the plunger.
  • an arrangement according to the invention for detecting at least two different positions of a movable door element with the features of claim 4 provides that an operative connection between the door element and the switching device according to the invention is separable.
  • the plunger can, for example, be brought out of the engagement region of the door element by displacement or countersinking.
  • the plunger can optionally be lowered by means of a sliding mechanism - similar to a ballpoint pen mechanism - and thus be brought out of the engagement region of the door element.
  • An alternative variant provides that the operative connection between the switching device and the door element by releasing a arranged in the door element trough for receiving the plunger is separable.
  • the trough can, for example, be released by means of a slide, so that the tappet with the door element closed and with the slide open can dive into the trough released therefrom.
  • the invention has the advantage that the user of the electrical device can determine for himself whether the detection of the door end position is turned on or not. It can also have a direct influence on various functions that are linked to this door query. This can be, for example, the switching on and off of a lighting, an energy saving, a heater or a hot air blower motor or the like.
  • the switching device according to the invention or the arrangement according to the invention is particularly suitable for installation in a household appliance according to one of claims 9 to 11.
  • the cooking appliance 10 has a cooking chamber 12 which is accessible from the outside by means of a downwardly pivotable front flap 14 in the horizontal direction.
  • a door contact switch 20 On the side of a frame 16 of a housing front 18 of the cooking appliance 10 is a door contact switch 20, which is covered with the front cover 14 closed by this and thus is not visible from the outside.
  • the door contact switch 20 is switched by the front flap 14 and thus has at least two operating states.
  • a first operating state identifies a closed front flap 14, while a second operating state indicates an at least partially opened front flap 14.
  • the door contact switch 20 can switch, for example, a cooking chamber lighting 22, an electric hot air blower 24 or other electrical consumers of the cooking appliance 10.
  • the door contact switch 20 can be deactivated, so that the regularly provided by opening and closing the front cover 14 switching functions are no longer triggered.
  • the door contact switch 20 comprises a switching element 26 which is in a separable operative connection with an electrical switch 38.
  • the switching element 26 comprises a linearly displaceable plunger 48, which is held by spring force in a first operating position L.
  • This first operating position L is in each of the Figures 2 and 3 clarified.
  • the spring is formed in the illustrated embodiment as a coil spring 28 which is disposed around the outer periphery of the plunger 48 around and this is supported against a housing projection 30.
  • An end face 32 of the plunger 48 can be contacted by the closing front flap 14, whereby the plunger 48 is moved in a fully closed front flap 14 against the force of the coil spring 28 to the left in a second operating position L (see. FIG. 4 ).
  • a switching cam 34 arranged on the outer circumference of the plunger 48 acts on a switching pin 36 of the electrical switch 38.
  • the electrical switch 38 can, for example, be a conventional microswitch whose electrical contact is opened or closed by linear displacement of the switching pin 36.
  • the linear displacement of the plunger 48 is converted by means of the switching cam 34 in a vertical linear displacement of the switching pin 36 of the electrical switch.
  • FIG. 5 illustrates the possible separation of the operative connection between the switching element 26 and electrical switch 38.
  • a detent spring 40 is provided, which is anchored in the housing 42 of the door contact switch 20 and acts on a corresponding recess or elevation on the outer circumference of the plunger 48 .
  • the detent spring 40 may be, for example, a leaf spring or the like, whose free end can engage in two separate recesses 44 on the outer circumference of the plunger 48.
  • the two recesses 44 are in this case preferably separated by a web 46 or the like, over which the detent spring 40 must slide away when the plunger 48 is rotated about its longitudinal axis. In this way, the plunger 48 can be stabilized in at least two possible angular positions, each characterizing an activation or deactivation of the door contact switch 20.
  • a preferred embodiment of the door contact switch 20 can provide that the plunger 48 can be rotated in each case in a predetermined direction by 90 degrees.
  • a defined angular position of the detent spring 40 can ensure that a rotation in the other direction is blocked.
  • at least four mutually separate recesses 44 are provided on the outer circumference of the plunger 48, which are each separated by webs 46, so that the detent spring 40 may each be in engagement with one of the four recesses 44, whereby each one of the two possible States of the door contact switch 20 may be defined.
  • the operation of the door contact switch 20 is greatly simplified in this way, since the user does not have to consider whether the plunger 48 is in the correct angular position.
  • the plunger 48 needs to be rotated only 90 degrees further in the defined direction, so as to activate or deactivate the operative engagement between the switching cam 34 and the switching pin 36.
  • An alternative possibility for deactivating the switching functions of the door contact switch 20 may also consist in that the plunger 48 is no longer moved to its second operating position L upon complete closing of the front flap 14, but remains in its first operating position L at all times. This can be achieved, for example, by opening a slide 50 on the inner side of the front flap 14 facing the door contact switch 20, so that the slider 16 protruding from the frame 16 of the cooking appliance 10 projecting part of the plunger 48 can dip into a previously closed by the slider 50 trough 52. This trough 52 is preferably so deep that the plunger 48 is not pressed even when fully closed front flap 14, but is held by the force of the coil spring 28 in its first operating position L.
