Definitions

  • the invention relates to a one-piece seat with backrest for a chair, a chair with such a one-piece seat with backrest and method for producing a one-piece seat with backrest for a chair and for producing a chair with such a one-piece seat with backrest.
  • the seat and the backrest surface are each formed by a knit fabric.
  • the knitted fabrics are stretched between separate tubular frames.
  • the covered tubular frame for the backrest is connected in a suitable manner with the covered tubular frame for the seat. The production and covering of the seat and the backrest takes place separately, the seat and the backrest are then rigidly connected.
  • the US 200310062756 A1 shows a backrest which consists of a frame which is formed of two C-shaped frame parts. These are inserted into a rim, which extends around the circumference of a cover.
  • the edge seam has at least one opening.
  • the connection between the two frame parts is achieved by connecting parts which additionally cover the at least one opening.
  • the DE 1 729 980 shows a padded seat with seat and backrest, wherein the seat part consists of a self-contained and curved according to the desired outline shape frame consists of a profile bar made of resilient material. The area enclosed by the frame surface is covered with elastic padding material.
  • the seat and backrest have a knit fabric and in which the number of required components and the manufacturing steps to be performed is reduced, and therefore can be made easier and cheaper. Furthermore, a method for simple and inexpensive production of such a chair is to be specified.
  • a one-piece seat with backrest for a chair which has a bent shell frame tube, a tie rod and a one-piece knitted fabric.
  • the bent shell frame tube defines the left and right sides of the seat and the backrest and the upper end of the backrest and has two ends, between which the tie rod is inserted.
  • the left and right side of the seat and the backrest forming portions of the curved shell frame tube may also be referred to as side spars
  • the upper end of the backrest defining portion of the curved shell frame tube may also be referred to as a transverse spar.
  • the one-piece knitted fabric has an integrated circumferential welt hem in which the shell frame tube and the tension rod are threaded and run there. So that the shell frame tube and the tie rod can be threaded into the circumferential Kedersaum, at least one opening is provided on the underside of the one-piece knitted fabric at one edge.
  • such a construction provides a one-piece seat with a seat surface and with a backrest, in which a single knit extends continuously over the seat surface and over the backrest, in the form that the circumferential welt seams in one front, later concealed bottom portion has at least one opening through which the entire shell frame tube and the tension rod are threaded. There is no need to provide separate knits for the seat and backrest.
  • the circumferential Kedersaum on its underside on two openings in order to thread the shell frame tube and the tie rod advantageous.
  • These two openings can be provided left and right in a front edge region of the underside of the one-piece knitted fabric. These are completely invisible when the one-piece seat with backrest is mounted on a chair frame.
  • the one-piece knitted fabric can be formed in one layer. Its shape and dimensions are determined by the contour of the curved shell frame tube and the tie rod set. In general, the one-piece knit has a substantially rectangular shape.
  • the invention also relates to a chair in which the above-described one-piece seat with backrest, in particular the side rails of the shell frame tube is attached to two frame legs of a chair frame arranged underneath.
  • a support member is further arranged in a front region of the chair frame below the one-piece knitted fabric to prevent collapse of the knitted fabric and to increase the supporting force for resting in a front region of the seat thigh.
  • This support member can in principle be made of any material.
  • the seating comfort can be improved when the support member is made of a flexible material.
  • a particularly stable and easy to manufacture construction of the chair is given when the support member between the frame legs attached, in particular screwed. Then even can be dispensed with a cross strut between the frame legs of the chair frame at this point.
  • the invention also relates to a method for producing a one-piece seat with backrest for a chair. Initially, a bent shell frame tube already described above and a one-piece knit fabric already described above are provided. The bent shell frame tube is then fully threaded through at least one of the openings of the circumferential welt space in the welt space. Thereafter or at the same time, the bent shell frame tube is covered with the one-piece knit so that both the backrest and the seat surface are continuously stretched by the one-piece knitted fabric. Now, an already mentioned above tension rod is provided and also threaded through at least one of the openings of the circumferential Kedersaums in this. Finally, the tie rod is inserted between the two ends of the shell frame tube.
  • the curved shell frame tube is fixed and fixed the entire shape of the one-piece seat with backrest.
  • the step of covering the shell frame tube with the one-piece fabric can be performed by first the one-piece knitted fabric as a whole over which the upper end of the backrest defining cross member of the shell frame tube is shirred and then the one-piece knit fabric is stripped down parallel right and left on the side rails of the shell frame tube. This stripping continues to the front. As a result, the one-piece fabric is stretched particularly evenly taut. It is necessary that the one-piece knitted fabric is made of flexible material.
  • the invention relates to a method for manufacturing a chair, in which first the method described above for producing a one-piece seat with backrest is carried out. Then a chair frame with two frame legs are provided and a particular flexible support member mounted on top of the chair frame between the two frame legs. Alternatively, the chair frame can already be made available with such a support member. Finally, the one-piece seat is fixed with backrest on the chair frame.
  • the side uprights of the shell frame tube can be stretched apart, in particular with the aid of a corresponding device when fastening the one-piece seat with backrest on the chair frame.
  • a particularly stable and inexpensive realizable attachment of the one-piece seat with backrest on the chair frame is given when the side rails of the shell frame tube are bolted to the frame legs.
  • the invention is based on an embodiment with reference to the FIGS. 1 and 2 illustrated in more detail.
  • FIG. 1 shows a perspective view of a shell frame chair from a side, slightly downwardly offset position according to an embodiment of the invention
  • the in FIG. 1 shown cup frame chair has a chair frame 3, a support member 5 and a curved shell frame tube 1, which defines with its side rails the left and right side of the seat and the backrest and with its transverse spar the upper end of the backrest.
  • the chair frame 3 comprises two mutually parallel frame legs 3a and 3b, each having a resting on the floor portion, a vertically upwardly extending portion and a bent shell frame tube 1 bearing portion.
  • the bent shell frame tube 1 supporting portions of the frame legs 3a and 3b are connected at its end with a downwardly bent cross-brace.
  • the resting on the floor portions of the frame legs 3a and 3b are connected at its end with a resting on the floor cross brace.
  • the transitions between the resting on the floor sections, the vertically upwardly extending portions and the bent shell frame tube 1 bearing portions of the frame legs 3a and 3b are each rounded.
  • a plate-shaped support member 5 slightly bent in the front direction, which follows the curvature of the frame legs 3a and 3b and which extends between the side rails 1b and 1c.
  • the side rails 1b and 1c are bent upwards at the rear end of the seat surface and extend upwards in an S-shape as far as the cross member 1a connecting them.
  • the shell frame chair is provided with a one-piece knitted fabric 4, which for purposes of illustration in FIG. 1 is shown only in an upper region of the backrest.
  • the one-piece knitted fabric 4 extends between the side rails 1b and 1c and the upper cross member 1a of the bent shell frame pipe 1.
  • FIG. 2 shows an exploded view of the shell frame chair.
  • the components according to the invention of the shell frame chair namely the chair frame 3, the support member 5, the bent shell frame tube 1, the one-piece knitted fabric 4 and a tension rod 2 are in FIG. 2 shown separately from each other before their assembly to the shell frame chair.
  • a further cross-brace In the chair frame 3 is between the frame legs 3a and 3b, a further cross-brace can be seen, which is located directly below the curved transition between the vertically upwardly extending portions and the bent shell frame tube 1 supporting portions of the frame legs 3a and 3b.
  • This further cross-brace is positioned so that the support member 5 rests with its slightly downwardly facing front surface on her when the support member 5 is connected to be introduced laterally by the frame legs 3a and 3b screws with the chair frame 3.
  • the tension rod 2 has at its ends smaller stepped sockets, which are inserted into the ends of the shell frame tube 1 and the curved shell frame tube 1 can fix so.
  • the one-piece knitted fabric 4 has a circumferential Kedersaum 4a, which in FIG. 2 is shown by a dashed line and has on the underside of the one-piece knitted fabric 4 front left and right two openings 4b and 4c, through which the curved shell frame tube 1 and the tension rod 2 can be threaded into the welt space 4a.
  • FIGS. 1 and 2 illustrated tray frame chair according to the invention is as follows from in FIG. 2 Assembled components are assembled:
  • the bent shell frame tube 1 is threaded through one of the two openings 4b or 4c in the circumferential welt space 4a. Then, the entire one-piece knitted fabric 4 is gathered first as a whole pulled together over the cross member 1a of the shell frame tube 1. Subsequently, the one-piece knitted fabric 4 is pulled down in parallel right and left on the side rails 1b and 1c, with the one-piece fabric 4 taut on the curved shell frame tube 1. The stripping continues until the front. Then you introduce the tension rod 2 front through one of the openings 4b or 4c in the welt space 4a and spans the one-piece fabric 4 also forward taut. Due to the tension, the tension rod 2 pulls with their smaller set neck in the curved shell frame tube 1 and thus fixes the seat and the backrest.
  • the support member 5 is placed on the top of the chair frame 3 between the two frame legs 3a and 3b on the further cross bracing and screwed laterally.
  • the covered with the one-piece fabric 4 and fixed by the tie rod 2 shell frame tube 1 is now placed on the frame legs 3a and 3b and bolted to them from below.
  • the tray frame chair according to the invention thus produced has an exceptionally delicate shape, because it is continuously covered with a single one-piece knitted fabric 4 and the support member 5 is hidden between the frame legs 3a and 3b.
  • the openings 4b and 4c of the single layer knitted fabric 4 are not visible. Accordingly, it remains hidden to the user, in which way the curved shell frame tube 1 has entered the one-piece knit 4, which further improves the design of the shell frame chair.
