Description
- Die Erfindung betrifft Deckelfässer aus Kunststoff mit einem Spannring aus Metall zum Befestigen des Faßdeckels auf dem oberen Faßrand, wobei der im Querschnitt U-förmige Spannring im Verschlußzustand mit seinem oberen Schenkel den Deckelrand übergreift und mit seinem unteren Schenkel eine senkrecht oder schräg zur Faßlängsachse verlaufende ringförmige Anlagefläche einer Bordur am Faßmantel untergreift, die unter dem oberen Faßrand angeordnet ist und die obere Begrenzung einer Einbuchtung im oberen Abschnitt des Faßmantels darstellt, und wobei der durch einen Innenrand, einen Außenrand und einen Verbindungsring gebildete Deckelrand ein nach unten offenes, U-förmiges Querschnittsprofil mit einem Dichtungsbett zum Einlegen oder Einschäumen einer Deckeldichtung aufweist, die im Verschlußzustand des Faßdeckels durch die Spannkraft des Spannringes gegen den oberen Deckelrand gepreßt wird.
- Bei aus der
US 5 301 853 bekannten Deckelfässern dieser Art wird die Dichtwirkung des Faßdeckels durch eine axiale Vorspannung der auf dem oberen Faßrand aufliegenden Deckeldichtung bewirkt, wobei die axiale Vorspannkraft beim Schließen des Spannringes über dessen beide schrägen Schenkel, die über den Deckelrand und die Faßbordur gleiten, erzeugt wird. An Deckelfässer, die für die Lagerung und den Transport von gefährlichen Flüssigkeiten zugelassen sind, werden bestimmte Anforderungen hinsichtlich ihrer Lager- und Transportsicherheit gestellt, die durch vorgeschriebene Zulassungsprüfungen überprüft werden, bei denen die Deckelfässer unter anderem einem Seitenfall auf den Mantel, einem Diagonalfall auf den Deckelrand, einer statischen Innendruckprüfung und einer Stapelbelastung unterzogen werden. - Die
AU 60419/73 A - Beim Aufspannen des Deckels auf den Behälterrand wird der Spannring durch die aufgebrachte Spannkraft derart zusammengezogen, dass der Verlängerungsabschnitt des Außenrandes des Deckels zu einem Ringwulst verformt wird, der gegen die Behälterwand und gegen die Unterseite des verstärkten Behälterrandes gepresst wird, derart, dass der Deckel form- und kraftschlüssig auf dem Behälterrand festgespannt wird.
- Dieser bekannte Deckelbehälter genügt aufgrund der Deformierbarkeit des äußeren Deckelrandes nicht den für Gefahrgutbehälter geltenden strengen Anforderungen hinsichtlich der Fallfestigkeit des Verschlussdeckels.
- Die
CH 455 626 - Zur stärkeren Fixierung des Behälterdeckels auf dem Öffnungsrand des Behälters in der Verschließlage ist an dem Verbindungsschenkel des oberen und des unteren Schenkels des Spannringes ein nach außen gerichteter Ringwulst mit einer ringförmigen Innennut angeformt, der bei geschlossenem Deckel einen am Außenrand desselben angeformten Außenrollrand übergreift.
- Der Erfindung liegt die Aufgabe zugrunde, dass gattungsgemäße Deckelfass im Hinblick auf Dichtheit des Fassdeckels beim Absturz des Fasses aus mittleren und größeren Höhen weiterzuentwickeln.
- Zwei Ausführungsbeispiele des erfindungsgemäßen Deckelfasses sind nachstehend anhand von Zeichnungsfiguren erläutert, die folgendes darstellen:

- ausschnittsweise vergrößerte Schnittdarstellungen des oberen Bereiches des Deckelfasses mit zwei verschiedenen Ausführungsformen des Spannringverschlusses des Fassdeckels.
- Das aus Kunststoff hergestellte Deckelfass 1 nach
Figur 1 besteht aus einem Fassmantel 2, einem unteren Boden 3, einem Fassdeckel 4 sowie einem Spannring 5 aus Metall zum Befestigen des Deckels 4 auf dem oberen Fassrand 6. - Bei dem in den
Figuren 2 und 3 dargestellten beiden Fassausführungen übergreift der Spannring 5, der ein U-förmiges Querschnittsprofil aufweist, mit seinem oberen Schenkel 7 den Deckelrand 8 und untergreift mit seinem unteren Schenkel 9 eine schräg zur Fasslängsachse 10-10 verlaufende, ringförmige Anlagefläche 11 einer Bordur 12 an dem Fassmantel 2, die unter dem oberen Fassrand 6 angeordnet ist und die obere Begrenzung einer Einbuchtung 13 im oberen Abschnitt des Fassmantels 2 darstellt. Der durch einen Innenrand 14, einen Außenrand 15 und einen Verbindungsring 16 gebildete Deckelrand 8 weist ein nach unten offenes, U-förmiges Querschnittsprofil mit einem Dichtungsbett 17 zum Einlegen oder Einschäumen einer Deckeldichtung 18 auf, die im Verschlusszustand des Deckels 4 durch die Spannkraft des Spannringes 5 gegen den oberen Fassrand 6 gepresst wird. - Bei der in
Figur 2 dargestellten ersten Ausführungsform eines Spannringverschlusses des Fassdeckels 4 ist an dem Verbindungsschenkel 19 des oberen und des unteren Schenkels 7, 9 des Spannringes 5 ein Ringwulst 20 angeformt, der radial nach innen gerichtet ist und bei geschlossenem Spannring 5 in eine im Außenrand 15 des Deckels 4 ausgebildete Eingreifnut 21 zur Sicherung des Deckels auf dem oberen Fassrand 6 fasst. - Bei einem Fall des Deckelfasses 1 aus der Höhe auf den Deckelrand 8 wird der Spannring 5 gestaucht und der Ringwulst 20 des Spannringes in die Eingreifnut 21 im Außenrand 15 des Deckelrandes 8 gepresst. Auf diese Weise wird der Fassdeckel 4 besser auf dem Fassrand 6 gesichert und damit die Fallfestigkeit des Fasses erhöht, wobei die Materialstärke des Spannringes verringert werden kann.
- Die zweite Ausführungsform eines Spannringverschlusses des Fassdeckels 4 gemäß
Figur 3 ist dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass bei geschlossenem Spannring 5 der an diesem angeordnete Ringwulst 20 zur Sicherung des Fassdeckels 4 auf dem oberen Fassrand 6 an einem an dem Außenrand 15 des Deckels angeformten unteren Haltering 22 angreift.
Claims (1)
- Deckelfass (1) aus Kunststoff mit einem Spannring (5) aus Metall zum Befestigen des Fassdeckels (4) auf dem oberen Fassrand (6), wobei der im Querschnitt U-förmige Spannring (5) im Verschlusszustand mit seinem oberen Schenkel (7) den Deckelrand (8) übergreift und mit seinem unteren Schenkel (9) eine senkrecht oder schräg zur Fasslängsachse (10-10) verlaufende ringförmige Anlagefläche (11) einer Bordur (12) am Fassmantel (2) untergreift, die unter dem oberen Fassrand (6) angeordnet ist und die obere Begrenzung einer Einbuchtung (13) im oberen Abschnitt des Fassmantels (2) darstellt, und wobei der durch einen Innenrand (14), einen Außenrand (15) und einen Verbindungsring (16) gebildete Deckelrand (8) ein nach unten offenes, U-förmiges Querschnittsprofil mit einem Dichtungsbett (17) zum Einlegen oder Einschäumen einer Deckeldichtung (18) aufweist, die im Verschlusszustand des Fassdeckels (4) durch die Spannkraft des Spannringes (5) gegen den oberen Fassrand (6) gepresst wird, gekennzeichnet durch einen an den Verbindungsschenkel (19) des oberen und des unteren Schenkels (7, 9) des Spannringes (5) angeformten Ringwulst (20), der radial nach innen gerichtet ist und der bei geschlossenem Spannring (5) zur Sicherung des Deckels (4) auf dem oberen Fassrand (6) in eine im Außenrand (15) des Deckels (4) ausgebildete Eingreifnut (21) fasst.
