Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a tweezers of the type comprising a rotary cylinder with tongs intended to tear the superfluous hairs of the human body, and more particularly relates to such an apparatus comprising a hair removal head removably mounted relative to the housing of the 'apparatus.
  • a plucking tweezers generally comprise blade or disc grippers disposed on a rotating barrel, the pliers being caused to close and open periodically to grip and tighten the bristles close to the barrel. the skin to tear them out by the rotation of the cylinder and then to evacuate the torn hairs before starting a new cycle of tearing.
  • Such devices have the disadvantage that the torn hairs accumulate inside the roller which, in the long run, prevents the correct closing of the blades and thus impinges on the proper functioning of the device.
  • the depilatory apparatus described in this document comprises a housing enclosing an electric motor for actuating a rotating roll with pinch disks and means able to periodically pinch, against these disks, hairs engaged between them, hair torn due to the rotation of the discs around the axis of the roll. Furthermore, there is provided, within the same housing, a second axis, parallel to that of the rotary roller and which supports cleaning discs or tufts of bristles, fixed or rotatable. These cleaning elements are provided for removing torn hairs engaged between the pinch discs to drive them into a compartment inside the apparatus. Thus, the bristles are still in the housing which must then be removed in order to remove the hair deposited.
  • the depilatory device comprises a housing enclosing a motor and a transmission for driving the rotary cylinder with pinch elements.
  • the rotating cylinder is part of the depilatory head which is separable from the housing for cleaning purposes.
  • the locking and unlocking of the housing of the depilatory head with respect to the housing of the apparatus is done by means of two spring-loaded button tabs belonging to the housing of the tweezers, tongues which cooperate with hooks belonging to the housing of the depilatory device.
  • the depilatory head has a closed housing and, when it is detached from the housing of the device, it is cleaned with a hand brush.
  • Such a construction is both expensive, because many pieces of complex shapes are provided for the assembly of the tweezers with its housing which, it has a partition wall opposite the partition wall of the housing of the depilatory head.
  • the object of the present invention is to overcome the aforementioned drawbacks and to provide a tweezers equipped with a tweezers head that can be easily cleaned, simply and easily for the person using it.
  • Another object of the invention is an epilator of optimized design, capable of being industrialized for a reduced manufacturing cost, while being very reliable in operation.
  • a tweezers having a manual gripper housing, enclosing an electric motor and a motor-driven transmission for rotating a pull-up rotary roller mounted in a holder of a head. depilatory, the support being removably mounted relative to the housing of the apparatus between a position where the tweezers receive the rotational movement of a transmission wheel of said transmission and another position where it is detached from the housing , because said support comprises two vertical uprights carrying the rotating roller connected by two spacers defining a passage revealing the roller below, said passage cooperating with the upper walls of the housing of the apparatus when said support is mounted on the latter of to define together a confined space for receiving the hair.
  • the depilatory head therefore comprises a rotary roller with tear-off tongs mounted in a support:
  • a removable support for a depilatory head or an exfoliation head, or a skin treatment head comprises a "skeletal" structure, it that is to say of structure formed of bars, beams, uprights and spacers connected together with a minimum of wall or sail, forming a surface between two beams, in order to use the bare minimum necessary material and especially to allow access to cleaning of the roll.
  • the support of the rotary roller according to the present invention thus comprises two lateral vertical uprights which support the central axis of the roller (and on which the components of the roller are mounted) the uprights being connected in their lower part by one or more spacers, which leave appear the roll underneath.
  • Such a support forms an open holding cage for the whole of the rotating roller, so that the roller and its support can be more easily cleaned, more particularly the lower cylindrical surface of the roller loaded with bristles which then becomes accessible also by underneath when the bracket is disengaged from the camera body.
  • a rotating roller could even be cleaned by passing it under a stream of water or by immersing it in a basin containing cleaning or disinfecting liquid.
  • the passage formed in the lower part of the support of the rotating roller, cooperates hermetically with the upper walls of the housing when it is mounted on said housing of the apparatus.
  • Upper walls of the housing of the apparatus include the upper part of the side walls and the front walls of separation of the open upper part of the housing with respect to a closed lower part which contains the motor and the transmission.
  • a transmission wheel passes through a narrow passage, a front wall at the top of the housing and engages a pinion of the tweezers for driving the rotating roller.
  • Such upper walls therefore have dimensions that correspond to those of the support, so that the assembly formed by the support and the housing is completely impervious to hair pulled off by the device.
  • the torn hairs are either released on the outside or dropped inside the head and in this case they accumulate in the space between the rotating roller and the housing of the apparatus.
  • This space is a closed recovery space because the structure of the depilatory head, in particular that of the support of the rotating roller cooperates sealingly with the bristles with the upper walls of the housing, it is thus clear that the openings for the passage of the support are filled by the upper walls of the housing so as to define together a confined space for receiving the bristles, dissociated from the internal one, located in the lower part of the housing. This prevents access to the bristles inside the case and prolongs the life of the device.
  • the bristles present in the upper part of the housing can be easily removed for example with a brush.
  • said spacers are parallel, each spacer being aligned with the side walls of the housing and said passage is delimited by the inner edges of the spacers which cooperate with a central wall of said housing.
  • the two spacers connect the two vertical uprights supporting the rotating roller and therefore they are parallel to the axis of the rotating roller.
  • the spacers connect the two uprights at their periphery revealing an opening or a passage in the center. This passage then cooperates, preferably continuously, with a central wall located in the upper part of the housing. It is therefore understood that the inner edges of the spacers are extended by a central wall located in the same plane.
  • the central wall of the housing then has a width substantially equal to the width of the opening defined by the spacing of the spacers and a length substantially equal to that of the opening and therefore to the length of the spacers of said support.
  • each spacer has an inclined profile oriented towards said passage.
  • the profile of the struts is then inclined towards the central passage to form a funnel for guiding the bristles which fall inside the head and are thus oriented towards the confined space defined with the central wall of the housing, without it there is accumulation of hair in the recesses of the support.
  • said support is made of two removable parts.
  • the removable parts are interconnected either on the longitudinal side of the spacers or at the junction between a vertical upright and a spacer. This facilitates the assembly of the support with the rotating roller and also the disassembly for even more careful cleaning.
  • said central wall belongs to a locking device which connects the support to the housing of the apparatus.
  • the roller support is connected to the housing of the apparatus by a locking device belonging to the latter.
  • This device thus plays the dual role of sealing interface with the depilatory head and at the same time ensures a fixation of the latter with respect to the housing. This offers a compact and simplified construction, with fewer components and therefore more economical.
  • said locking device comprises at least one locking element which cooperates with at least one coupling element of said support.
  • the locking device allows a coupling of the depilatory head with respect to the housing of the apparatus and its transmission. It comprises a locking element belonging to the housing associated with a coupling element of the support, these elements being able to cooperate in order to provide easy coupling of the two assemblies as well as their quick disassembly by the user.
  • said locking element is integral with said central wall.
  • the central wall forming a sealed space with the spacers of the support of the rotating roller is therefore provided in the center of the opening defined by the two spacers. It is preferred to provide the lateral sides of this wall with one or more locking elements which then cooperate with coupling elements located in the lower part of the spacers. This optimizes the structure of the locking device, while preserving its sealing properties.
  • said locking device comprises an actuating element of said locking element.
  • Such an actuating element is provided to allow the user to act from the outside on the locking device which is integrated in the housing of the device.
  • said actuating element is slidably arranged parallel to the longitudinal axis of the rotating roller against a spring.
  • the locking device comprises a compression spring which cooperates with the actuating element, in particular by pushing it outwardly of the housing, the spring being fixed to an axial stop belonging to the housing.
  • actuating element which slides parallel to the longitudinal axis of the rotating roller ensures the relative displacement of the coupling elements and locking elements, the return stroke is under the thrust of a spring for simplicity.
  • said actuating element comprises an actuating button projecting outside the housing and connected to said central wall.
  • the actuation button is located outside the housing and allows to operate directly said sliding central wall to unlock the head which can then be easily removed by the user.
  • the depilatory apparatus shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 comprises a housing 1 and a tweezer head 2.
  • the housing 1 encloses an electric motor 12 and a gear train or transmission 10 which transfers the rotational movement of the spindle shaft. output of the motor to a transmission wheel 10 directly engaging a driving pinion 9 of the rotary roller 3 of the epilator head 2.
  • the rotary roller 3 comprises a plurality of lifting modules 4 carried by a peripheral cage 8 concentric to the longitudinal axis of the rotary roller 3 and rotated by the drive pinion 9 of the latter.
  • a tear-off module 4 comprises a plurality of tear-off pliers, a clamp being formed of moving blades 5 and fixed blades 6.
  • the base of a movable blade 5 follows the groove of an internal cam 7 and applies and successively moves away from an adjacent fixed blade 6 during its driving in rotation about the longitudinal axis of the rotating roller 3.
  • the grippers of the tear-out modules 4 are angularly offset on the periphery of the rotary roller 3.
  • the electric motor when powered, it rotates the rotating roller 3 whose clamps are closed and open successively and tear the hair of the area to be treated in front of the depilatory head.
  • Such a rotary roller is better described in the patent application FR 03 09758 in the name of the applicant and is an embodiment of the depilatory device according to the invention.
  • the depilatory head 2 is removably mounted relative to the housing 1 and the transmission wheel 10 of the latter.
  • the depilatory head 2 and the casing 1 are provided with locking means by means of which they are fixed to one another and are then separated from one another, such as it will be explained later.
  • a button 15 is provided on one side of the casing 1 by means of which the depilatory head can be unlocked to remove it from the casing 1.
  • FIG. 3 shows a depilatory head 2 according to the invention in which the components of the rotating roller 3 are supported by an axis 14 whose profiled ends 17 are mounted in corresponding orifices 18 made in the internal walls of the uprights 21, 22 of 20.
  • the uprights 21, 22 are vertical and house the lateral flanks of the rotary roller 3 which they support.
  • the two uprights 21,22 are connected at their base by two spacers 24,25 parallel.
  • each spacer 24, 25 is made in two parts 24 ', 24 ", respectively 25', 25" in order to facilitate assembly of the rotary roller 3 and its support 20.
  • the spacers 24 ', 25' have at their ends ribs 26 which fit into grooves 27 provided at the ends of the spacers 24 "and 25".
  • the spacers 24,25 laterally delimit a passage 23 which reveals the rotating roller 3 below.
  • the spacers 24,25 have an inclined profile oriented towards the passage 23, spacers whose inner surface is more particularly made in an arc.
  • the support 20 (as produced after the joining of the spacer portions 24 ', 25' with the spacer portions 24 ", 25" located in the extension of the first) has four coupling elements 28 with a coupling device.
  • the coupling elements are situated in the lower part of the spacers 24, 25 and consist, in this example, of parallelepipedal posts having, at the rear, an inclined external surface 29 and an internal recess. .
  • FIG 4 is a top view of the housing 1 of the apparatus, the depilatory head 2, including the support 20 and the rotating roller 3, being removed.
  • the housing 1 comprises a locking device 33 surrounded by the upper side walls 31 of the housing, the locking device being housed in a cutout provided for this purpose in a front wall 34 of the same housing.
  • the locking device 33 comprises a central wall 35 having, on its longitudinal sides, four locking elements 36.
  • the locking elements 36 are constituted, in this example, by tabs having a front surface 37 inclined. Cutouts 38 are arranged around the locking elements 36 to receive the coupling elements 28 of the support 20.
  • the central wall 35 is slidably mounted in a direction parallel to the axis 14 of the rotating roller 3, under the pressure of a compression spring 40, as best seen in FIG. effect, on its underside, a guide rail inserted in a longitudinal rib of the housing 1.
  • the spring 40 is mounted under the central wall 35, with one of its ends which bears against an axial abutment 41 of the housing 1, the opposite end being secured to a fin 42 belonging to the central wall 35.
  • This spring provides a thrust of the central wall 35 towards the outside of the housing 1, the axial stroke being limited by a stop belonging to the housing .
  • the lock button 15 is fixedly mounted at the end of the central wall 35, a button by which said central wall is pushed towards the inside of the casing 1, against the force exerted by the spring 40.
  • FIG. 5 shows an apparatus of the invention where the support 20 of the depilatory head is mounted on the housing 1, the rotating roller being removed for clarity.
  • the inner edges of the spacers 24,25 of the support 20 are integrated in the same plane with the wall 35 during assembly, wall that fills the passage 23, the outer edges of the spacers 24,25 inserting they, inside the upper side walls 31 of the housing 1.
  • the coupling elements 28 of the support 20 fit into cutouts 38 located on either side of the central wall 35, the cutouts being then masked by the spacers 24,25 taking place, also, on either side of the central wall 35.
  • the central wall 35 then acts as a brush collecting drawer arranged sliding between the two spacers 24,25.
  • the inner walls of the spacers 24, 25 are curved in an arc and the central wall 35 follows the same curvature, their assembly is then made according to a continuous cylindrical surface and impervious to the bristles.
  • a curved surface may be a cylindrical surface concentric with the envelope surface of the rotating roll 3, but of greater radius than the latter.
  • a hair recovery space 45 is then defined between the lower part of the support 20 and the central wall 35, which space can be cleaned when the depilatory head is removed from the housing.
  • the head is unlocked. epilating by exerting a lateral pressure on the button 15 which then pushes the wall 35 against the force of the spring 40 which allows the coupling elements 28 to be released from their connection with the locking elements 36.
