Definitions

  • the invention relates to a connector for panel walls or the like having the features of the preamble of claim 1.
  • panel walls made of wood, pressboard, hardboard or other materials can be used for example in the construction of exhibition stands.
  • Under a "panel wall” is here as follows, a plate-shaped object made of any material to understand.
  • connection systems of this type the edges to be joined of two adjacent panels are inserted into a rail.
  • the rail interrupts the wall surface and is therefore perceived as disturbing from an aesthetic and technical point of view.
  • Out DE-A-3603453 is a composed of several wall parts setting or dividing wall is known in which the wall parts have at the mutually aligned narrow sides holding rails, which can be coupled by means of releasable connector.
  • the connectors comprise a base part, with at least two bolts arranged on the base part at a mutual distance transversely to the base part, and at least one tensioning device with which the bolts can be braced against one another in such a way that their mutual spacing is reduced.
  • the tension of the two bolts is effected by an eccentric mechanism, through which one of the two bolts in the direction of the other of the two bolts in a parallel displacement movement is moved.
  • the DE-A-3 603 453 has the features of the preamble of claim 1.
  • the invention is based on this prior art based on the object to provide a connector for panel walls or the like, which is suitable to connect panel walls such that a voltage is applied to the joint between two adjacent panel walls.
  • the connector should allow the joining of panel walls quickly and with little effort. He should also be easy and inexpensive to manufacture. Above all, it should not be necessary to incorporate fittings in the panel walls before the connection.
  • the panel walls should be usable by simple processing with the connection system and thus remain so cost-effective that even a one-way use is economically reasonable.
  • the clamping device is a device for inclining at least one of the bolts.
  • the connector is mounted on an end face of two adjoining panel walls, previously provided with two holes sized to receive the pins of the connector. By tightening the bolts, the panel walls are pressed against each other along the joint.
  • a second connector is mounted on the opposite end wall in the region of the joint in mutatis mutandis the same way, whereby the two panel walls are stable, accurate and gap-free joined together.
  • the base can be easily countersunk in a correspondingly sized groove on the face of the panel wall so that the connector is nearly invisible when the connection is made and composite panel walls are provided where no traces of the composition used (except on two opposing faces) Devices are recognizable.
  • the clamping device comprises at least one screw connection between the base part and the bolt and is designed such that when tightened screw the bolt is inclined with respect to the base part, and with dissolved screw the bolt in a position perpendicular to the base part is movable.
  • a screw is characterized by particularly simple and therefore cost-effective production.
  • the screw advantageously comprises a screw with a screw head, extending in the longitudinal direction of the bolt internal thread and a continuous transverse bore in the base part.
  • an inclined bearing surface may be provided for the end face of the bolt on the base part.
  • an inclined support surface may be provided for the screw head.
  • the transverse bore in the base part with respect to the diameter of the screw is dimensioned so that when dissolved screw the bolt is movable in a position perpendicular to the base part.
  • a stop edge may be provided, is blocked by the rotation of the bolt about its longitudinal axis.
  • the base part is a square bar. This is in the simplest way to produce and can easily sink into a correspondingly sized groove on the front side of the panel wall, so that the connector is almost invisible when manufactured connection and composite panel walls are provided on which (except at the end faces) no traces of for the composition used devices are recognizable.
  • a round bolt has the advantage that the bolt in the clamped state - with a corresponding design of the receiving opening in the panel wall - a large area against the wall of the receiving opening and the force exerted by the tension force is distributed over a large area.
  • a round bolt and in particular a round hole for receiving the bolt is particularly easy to make.
  • the at least one clamping device has a pivotally mounted on the base part bolts and an adjusting screw, with the inclination of the bolt is adjustable.
  • the connector shown in Figure 1 comprises a base part 1, which consists in the example shown of a square bar made of metal.
  • base part 1 which consists in the example shown of a square bar made of metal.
  • two transverse bores 6, 6 ' are respectively provided in the vicinity of its two ends.
  • the slightly inclined to the center of the base part 1 (between 0.5 to 2 degrees) with respect to the longitudinal axis of the base part are. Since in the illustrated embodiment, the inclination is only 1.5 degrees, it is barely visible to the naked eye in the drawing.
  • the two holes 6, 6 'sit screws 7, 7' In the two holes 6, 6 'sit screws 7, 7'.
  • the outer diameter of the screws 7, 7 ' is significantly smaller than the clear width of the transverse bores 6, 6', so that the screws have a clearance which is at least sufficient to the screws 7, 7 'both in the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the base part 1 as well as in an inclination to the base longitudinal axis, which corresponds to the inclination of the bearing surfaces 4, 5 and 4 ', 5'.
  • the bolts 2, 2 ' have abutment edges 8, 8' which abut on the respective edge of the milled bearing surfaces 5, 5 'and in this way rotate the bolts 2, 2' about their respective Prevent longitudinal axis.
  • the base part 1 further has a threaded bore 14, which can be seen in the center of the base part 1. In this a height-adjustable foot 15 is screwed.
  • Figure 2 shows the connector from above. There are the base part 1, the inclined bolts 2, 2 ', the support surfaces 5, 5' and the height-adjustable foot 15 can be seen.
  • Connectors of the type described in FIGS. 1 and 2 are used to join objects such as panel walls as follows, as will be explained below with reference to FIG.
  • FIG. 3 two rectangular panel walls 16 and 17 can be seen, which are connected by means of the connectors described above.
  • both the panel wall 16 and the panel wall 17 have a groove section 18 or 19 on their upper end side, which in the case of joined panel walls 16 and 17 complement one another into a continuous recess 18, 19 into which insert the base part 1 of the connector.
  • Holes are provided perpendicular to the upper end edge of the two panel walls (not visible in the drawing) which are spaced and dimensioned to receive bolts 2 and 2 'of the connector with panel walls 16 and 17 joined together.
  • the bolts 2 and 2 'of the connector with dissolved screws 7, 7' inserted so far until the base part 1 in the recess 18, 19 is located.
  • FIG. 4 is a partial view of another alternative embodiment of the connector.
  • FIG. 4 shows a section of the base part 1.
  • a cutout 20 is provided which has an undercut edge 21.
  • the bolt 2 is provided with a foot 22 whose dimensions are chosen so that it fits into the cutout 20.
  • a pivot point for the foot 22 of the base part 1 and thus a pivot point 23 for the bolt 2 is set.
  • a threaded bore is provided, in which a screw 11 is seated.
  • screwing the screw 11 of the fulcrum 23 remote part of the foot 22 of the bolt 2 is raised, with the result that the bolt 2 in the direction of the center of the Base part 1 is inclined.
  • the mutual clamping of the bolt is achieved, as has been described in the embodiment of Figures 1, 2 and 3.
  • the cutout 20 with the undercut edge 21, the foot 22 of the bolt 2 and the adjusting screw 11 form a clamping device with which the bolt 2 can be inclined in order to clamp it against a second bolt (not shown).
