- mixtures of at least one curable binder and at least one other binder are also possible.
- the invention uses a mixture of a polymeric binder and at least one aluminum hydroxide.
- the mixture contains, for example, per 100 parts by weight of a polymeric binder (calculated 100%) 10 to 100, preferably 15 to 50 parts by weight of aluminum hydroxide (calculated 100%).
- aluminum hydroxide for example, come hydrargillite ( ⁇ -Al (OH) 3 ), bayerite ( ⁇ -Al (OH) 3 ) Nordstrandit ( ⁇ -Al (OH) 3 ), and oxide hydroxides such as boehmite ( ⁇ -AlO (OH)) and Diaspor ( ⁇ -AlO (OH)) and mixtures of these aluminum hydroxides into consideration.
- the mean grain diameter of the aluminum hydroxides is for example in the range of 0.5 to 50 microns, preferably 0.9 to 5 microns. It is of course possible to use a mixture of different aluminum hydroxides.
- solidify laid nonwovens they are treated, for example, with a mixture from a polymeric binder and an aluminum hydroxide or first treats a nonwoven with a binder, optionally it dries and then applies the aluminum hydroxide and heats the thus treated nonwoven for solidification to a temperature in the range of 180 to 230 ° C. But you can too first apply the aluminum compound and then the polymeric binder and then dry the impregnated web and then crosslink the binder.
- the nonwoven webs impregnated with a binder become solidified to temperatures in the range of 180 to 230 ° C, preferably 190 to 210 ° C heated.
- the duration The heating depends mainly on the temperature, the water content and the respective fiber from which the fleece is made. Usually you dry with them
- Nonwovens impregnated or coated with at least one binder are 0.5 to 5, preferably 1.3 to 3 minutes at a temperature in the above-indicated temperature range.
- water vapor initially escapes, simultaneously with it or subsequently the thermally curable Blend agent is crosslinked.
- the invention also provides the use of bonded fiber webs, with a mixture of at least one polymeric binder and at least solidified aluminum hydroxide, as a carrier material for bitumin Liste roofing membranes.
- the roofing membranes are obtained by solidifying the ones described above Nonwovens coated with bitumen on both sides or impregnated. For example, you lead a web of a suitable nonwoven by a bitumen melt and presses the thus impregnated web from. This process can be on or off be repeated several times.
- the bitumen application, based on the consolidated nonwoven, is for example 1000 to 3500, preferably 1700 to 2800 wt .-%.
- the roofing membranes also include composites of nonwovens that are made with a mixture of at least a polymeric binder and at least one aluminum hydroxide solidified are.
- Such composites are obtained if, for example, two each with Bitumen coated nonwovens welded together and optionally one Fleece used as an intermediate layer, which is a mixture of at least one polymeric Binders and at least one aluminum hydroxide is solidified.
- the roofing membranes of the invention have over the known roofing membranes Surprisingly, a higher heat resistance and a higher breaking strength. They are also flame-resistant, they are cheaper than roofing membranes, as a carrier fleece a solidified exclusively with a polymeric binder Fleece included.
- a carrier web having a weight per unit area of 150 g / m 2 was impregnated in each case with the binder mixtures indicated in the table.
- the order of polymeric binder and aluminum hydroxide was always 20%, based on the solids of the binder mixture and on the dry nonwoven fabric.
- the liquor concentration of the binder preparations was adjusted to 10% in each case.
- the impregnated nonwovens were dried for 3 minutes at a temperature of 200 ° C. Thereafter, it was determined the breaking strength of the bonded nonwovens at room temperature according to DIN 52 123 and the heat resistance at 200 ° C according to DIN 18 192 with a weight load of 4 kg. The results obtained are shown in the table as well as the results of the comparative examples described below.
- Example 1 was repeated with the sole exception that the polymeric binder used without further additive.
- Example 2 was repeated with the sole exception that instead of aluminum hydroxide now used 10 parts of calcium carbonate.
- Example 2 was repeated with the sole exception that 10 parts of kaolin were used instead of aluminum hydroxide.
