Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a device for storing and removing flowable media, in particular glue, paint, contact adhesive, solvents and the like, with a storage vessel and a removal vessel, wherein the removal vessel has an opening for removal of the flowable medium and wherein the storage vessel has an opening For transferring the flowable medium from the storage vessel into the withdrawal vessel.
  • flowable media in particular glue, paint, contact adhesive, solvents and the like
  • an opening made, for example, as a gap is arranged between the storage vessel and the removal vessel, which allows the transfer of the flowable medium from the storage vessel into the removal vessel ,
  • the sampling vessel is always filled with sufficient filling of the storage vessel in the operating state to about the gap height with the flowable medium and allows its removal via an opening.
  • the storage vessel has to be refilled, this is done by introducing the flowable medium to be filled into the removal vessel and then passing it over the said gap in the opposite direction to the operating state by appropriate positioning of the device in the storage vessel.
  • the filling of the storage vessel via the storage vessel connecting the storage vessel with the withdrawal vessel is relatively cumbersome and time consuming.
  • US 3,060,942 discloses a device according to the preamble of claim 1.
  • the present invention is therefore based on the object of developing such a device to the effect that the filling of the storage vessel is simplified.
  • the storage vessel has a further opening for filling the storage vessel with the flowable medium.
  • the filling opening according to the invention makes it possible to fill the storage vessel directly. It is therefore not necessary to make the filling of the storage vessel by means of the opening located between the storage vessel and the withdrawal vessel.
  • the opening for the passage of the flowable medium from the storage vessel into the removal vessel has an area of at least 1 mm 2 .
  • the opening for the passage of the flowable medium from the storage vessel into the removal vessel may have an area of at most 700 mm 2 .
  • the opening for the passage of the flowable medium from the storage vessel into the removal vessel may, for example, have an area in the range of 100 to 300 mm 2 or in the range of 140 to 250 mm 2 .
  • the maximum values of 700 mm 2 , 300 mm 2 and 250 mm 2 apply to a volume of the storage vessel of up to 1.5 I.
  • Bei larger volumes of the storage vessel rise in this embodiment of the invention in proportion to the volume of the storage vessel.
  • the above-mentioned size ranges of the area of the opening ensure that the flow rate of the medium is limited by the storage vessel into the extraction vessel, since the areal limited opening of the flow opposes a resistance. This has the consequence that the time in which the sampling vessel fills through the opening, is less than a standard Nach Heilbachdauer the storage vessel.
  • the time period in which the extraction vessel fills during the filling of the storage vessel for example, be greater than 15 or 30 seconds or, for example, greater than one minute, so that sufficient time remains to fill the storage vessel. These values are examples.
  • the opening between the supply and removal vessel is thus preferably dimensioned such that it does not overflow the withdrawal vessel during the filling of the storage vessel, i. the usual feed rate into the storage vessel is greater than the feed rate in the sampling vessel.
  • the shape of the opening is largely arbitrary. It may be a circular opening, a gap with straight or at least one curved side, etc.
  • a closure element is further provided, by means of which the further opening, which is referred to below as the filling opening, can be closed.
  • the filling opening can be arranged directly on the housing of the storage vessel or, for example, in the end region of a nozzle attached to the housing, a tube or the like.
  • the closure element is designed as a lid.
  • the lid may have a cover plate, from which extends a circumferential ridge whose outer dimensions below the inner dimensions of the closable through the lid filling opening of the storage vessel or substantially correspond to this.
  • the web may, for example, extend vertically from the cover plate. It is inserted into the filling opening of the storage vessel. Under external dimensions of the web is the distance between the web outer sides of each other, thus to understand the outer diameter of the web in circular webs. Accordingly, the term inner dimensions of the filling opening to understand the distances between the inner sides of the filling opening from each other.
  • the filling opening can be formed, for example, by an open end region of the housing of the storage vessel. In this case, the filling opening extends over the entire cross-sectional area of the housing.
  • the cover has a cover plate from which extends a circumferential ridge, the internal dimensions of which lie over the outer dimensions of the filling opening of the storage vessel or substantially correspond to these.
  • the web of Dekkels is slipped over a peripheral edge of the filling opening.
  • the web or the storage vessel may have one or more peripheral sealing elements for fluid-tight closure of the filling opening.
  • the selection of the sealing elements is arbitrary. For example, come as sealing elements extending from the web extending ribs in question. These may for example extend vertically from the web. It is also conceivable to use O-ring seals, which may be inserted for example in grooves for the purpose of fixing.
  • the edge of the lid projects beyond the filling opening in the state placed on the filling opening.
  • the handling of the lid can be improved by providing outwardly projecting bulges on the edge of the lid.
  • the filling opening extends over the entire cross section of the storage vessel and is thus formed by the open end region of the housing of the storage vessel.
  • the filling opening occupies only a portion of the cross-sectional area of the storage vessel or, for example, is located in a side wall of the storage vessel. It is conceivable that a web surrounding the opening is provided in the region of the filling opening, on which a lid can be placed or in which a cover can be inserted.
  • the storage vessel has a base body and an attachment which is fluid-tightly connected thereto.
  • the attachment can be plugged onto the base body or inserted into it.
  • Other types of compound e.g. a threaded connection or a connection according to a bayonet lock are conceivable.
  • connection between the body and attachment can be made detachable or unsolvable. It is conceivable that the connection after joining both parts is designed such that a release is no longer possible.
  • an anti-rotation device can be provided, which, for example, prevents loosening, ie, rotation in the opposite direction, when connecting by means of a thread or a bayonet lock. The rotation can always or only intervene at a certain angle of rotation.
  • Such fuses are known for example by cable ties.
  • the means for connection between the base body and the attachment correspond to those between the closure element and the storage vessel. This results in the advantage that either the closure element or the attachment can be applied to the main body of the storage vessel. It is conceivable, for example, that the cover and attachment have the same thread and thus can be alternatively bolted to the body.
  • the attachment has a housing, from the end region of which a recess recessed relative to the outside of the housing extends, the outer dimensions of which essentially correspond to or fall below the inner dimensions of the end region of the base body adjoining the attachment.
  • circumferential sealing elements are provided on the outside of the web or on the inside of the end region of the base body adjoining the attachment.
  • the filling opening is in the essay.
  • the filling opening is arranged in the base body.
  • the filling opening can be arranged at any point of the storage vessel.
  • the attachment to the base body can be locked by means of a latching connection.
  • the latching connection consist of extending from the essay or from the base body tabs and provided in the other of the components recordings in which the tabs are latching receivable.
  • the inner and / or outer diameter of the attachment corresponds to those of the base body.
  • a cover is provided as the closure element, which has a groove into which the edge region of the filling opening of the storage vessel can be inserted.
  • the edge region is introduced into the groove.
  • a groove can be arranged into which a web extending from the cover can be inserted.
  • the groove is advantageously configured as an annular groove surrounding the filling opening.
  • the storage vessel or the main body of the storage vessel and the removal vessel may have a common one-piece housing.
  • This housing is preferably arranged on a base plate.
  • the closure element comprises a membrane which can be opened for the purpose of filling and extends over the filling opening of the closure element.
  • the membrane may have an opening slot, by means of which the membrane can be opened such that a filling of the storage vessel, for example by means of a spout, a funnel, a tube or by means of a hose is possible.
  • the membrane is designed to be elastic, so that it moves back to its starting position after the filling process. It can be provided that the membrane closes fluid-tight and Also, the escape of vapors of flowable media, such as solvent vapors, largely prevented.
  • the closure element comprises an open-close valve.
  • the valve can be switched to its "on position" for the purpose of filling. After completion of the filling process, the valve is closed again.
