Definitions
- the invention relates to a spanner with the features of Preamble of claim 1.
- Open-end wrenches can be arranged in the mouth resilient clamping devices have, before fastening or after loosening a screw, like screw or nut, hold them in the mouth. This will u. a. one Falling or losing the screw avoided what was in certain technical areas, such as As the space technology, necessarily is required.
- the US 4 058 032 A1 shows a spring wire in a center in the mouth circumferential groove.
- the CH 230 545 A1 shows a resilient bow-shaped Sheet metal strip, which is inserted in a corresponding groove in the jaw.
- Both The aforementioned spring inserts are in a conventional open-end wrench Not insertable; because in this first had a groove in the mouth are introduced to receive the spring element. However, this is more expensive the production of the open-end wrench considerably. In addition, diminished and thus weakens the circumferential groove the inner mouth surfaces very much, which especially during hard continuous use to a faster wear of the Open-end wrench leads.
- FR 2 814 101 A1 discloses a non-generic wrench, its wrench size is reduced by a bet on a smaller one Reduce the wrench size. This can indeed one and the same Combination wrenches are used more versatile; however, this writing is concerned not at all with the invention of the underlying and the beginning described problem by a generic wrench to be solved.
- the invention is the Endeavor, with a combination wrench on the one hand the solid and To maintain good mouth training, but on the other hand for a possibly very rare use case a clamping device in the mouth use.
- the invention proposes a very specific embodiment of the Open-ended wrench: Starting from a known open-end wrench with a attached to the mouth and protruding on a first inner mouth surface
- Spring member extending at least almost the entire length of the first Maul relations extends and an encompassed by the mouth polygon spring against presses an opposite second inner mouth surface beats the invention before that the spring member in the region of the first mouth surface at least as wide is like the first mouth surface, is formed at least nearly level and in the compressed state has a thickness which is at least about the Difference between two consecutive standardized key widths equivalent.
- the width of the spring member is the same is large as the width of the first inner mouth surface.
- the width the spring member is at least partially larger than the width of the first Jaw surface.
- the key widths are internationally in millimeter distance graded and standardized. In Anglo-American influenced states are also Gradations used in fractions of an inch.
- the thickness of the spring member is one correspond to each respective stage and therefore in particular one Millimeters. With very large key widths, and consequently larger ones and thus heavier screw, the thickness of the spring member z. B. but also be two millimeters.
- the actual attachment of the spring member can in very different ways and manner:
- the spring member may be on a side surface or on both side surfaces, on an outer mouth surface or even on the first inner mouth surface to be attached.
- the spring member to attached to the mouth by adhesion, z. B. be clamped.
- an attachment by positive engagement, z. B. by locking, is possible likewise by material connection, z. B. by using a for this case suitable adhesive or adhesive.
- different can be Fastening types are combined with each other to the spring member in suitable manner to attach.
- the assembly or attachment process can be convenient and secure attachment also look very different: so can the spring member in the longitudinal direction of the first inner mouth surface or in a Direction transverse to this be pushed onto the mouth. Also a pivoting, z. B. to the front end of the mouth, can facilitate a correct installation or to ensure.
- the spring member should be made of a preferably non-corrosive metal exist, in particular the inevitably occurring high To withstand surface pressure in the long run.
- z. B. stainless Spring steel in particular in the form of a leaf spring can be used.
- a holder can be used for fixing the spring member to the mouth.
- the holder can be used to encompass the mouth in cross-section U-shaped or even be formed shoe-shaped.
- Such a holder can be simplified Manufacture be formed integrally with the spring member, and both can together for. B. consist of a stamped bent part, which the mouth clutching.
- the holder of a fixed with consist of the spring member connected plastic part.
- This can be the Spring member to be injected with at least one approach in the plastic part.
- the injected approach at least one bend, opening or Have undercut.
- a further embodiment of the invention provides that the holder only consists in a particular elastic adhesive or adhesive layer.
- Such Layer can be very thin especially for small key widths and z. B. only a few tenths of a millimeter.
- the layer thickness is dependent the wrench size chosen so that the spring member together with the elastic compressed adhesive layer has a total thickness, the at least approximately the difference between two consecutive, standardized Corresponds to key widths.
- the elastic layer unloaded 1 mm and loaded 0.2 mm thick and together with a 0.8 mm thick strips of sheet metal compressed, so umgriffenem Screw, form a 1 mm thick spring member.
- Such a spring member can in case of temporary need directly to the first inner Mouth glued and - if an appropriate adhesive - after be easily withdrawn from use.
- a Such adhesive layer be a double-sided adhesive tape piece, which after the Removed assembly process and replaced when needed again with a new one becomes.
- Such a piece of adhesive tape can in the initial state of a Protective film to be covered and when sticking laterally, on the Side surfaces of the mouth to be pulled up and secured there.
- An aforementioned spring member with a certain thickness and width can also with open-end wrenches with different, especially smaller Spanner size are used, as long as that then something laterally over the first jaw protruding spring member does not interfere with the assembly process. So can z. B. for a 15-size keyway spring member for a 14er and 13er wrench size are used.
- a holder may have an identification on at least one outer surface have any type and thus z.
- B the manufacturer or owner, the Installer or intended use, thickness or otherwise. Should a specific spring member only for a very specific width across flats can be used, so the labeling from the original and the by the spring member reduced wrench size exist. Then the Proper conversion of an open-end wrench or a complete set of Closed-end wrenches are also ensured by less experienced users also independent of the respective type explained at the beginning of the attachment.
- the Polygonal facing surface of the spring member a thin layer with a has high coefficient of friction.
- a layer should be made so thin be that it reduces the jaw width only within their tolerance range to to ensure unhindered sliding of the mouth on the polygon.
- the layer may, for. B. from a blunt plastic paint or the like exist and structured to increase the friction or liability be, z. B. in the form of a corrugation, Raut mich or the like.
- a conventional open-end wrench 1 with a mouth second represented by a curved base 3 and two at a distance of Wrench size SW arranged plane-parallel to each other, inner mouth surfaces 4 and 5 is limited.
- Plan parallel to the visible side surface 6 is here invisible second side surface 7 is arranged.
- the mouth 2 is pushed over an external hexagon 8, so that two parallel Outer surfaces 9 and 10 of the six outer surfaces 9 to 14 the inner Mauldon 4 and 5 are associated plane-parallel.
- the hexagon 8 is by means of a spring member 15 in the mouth 2 between the inner mouth surfaces 4 and 5 jammed.
- the spring member 15 includes a Tongue 16, which is as wide as the upper, first mouth surface 4 and in the drawn bent state also about as long as this.
- the width of the Mouth surfaces 4 and 5, as well as the tongue 16 are marked in Fig. 2 with b.
- the tongue 16 has a thickness d of nearly one millimeter and is shown in FIG relaxed, slightly bent initial state dot-dashed indicated. In the tight, drawn clamping state, it is almost level and lies corresponding both to the first inner mouth surface 4 as also with its outer tongue surface 16a on the facing outer surface. 9 fed up.
- the Tongue surface 16a be provided with a dull layer. She only needs a few hundredths of a millimeter thick and may in particular be surface structured.
