Definitions
- the invention relates to a food packaging, in particular an egg carton, having a lower part, which has at least one row of mold cavities for receiving individual pieces of food, in particular eggs, and a lid part, which is arranged foldably on the lower part, wherein the lower part and the lid part with Complementary Klemmerhebungen and clamping openings are provided.
- Egg cartons with complementary clamping elevations and clamping openings on the lower part and on the upper part are known per se.
- the Klemmerhebungen and the clamping openings are arranged so that engage in the stacking of egg cartons the Klemmerhebungen an egg carton in the terminal openings of the egg carton above or below.
- this arrangement of Klemmerhebungen and clamping openings allows a secure composite directly stacked egg cartons, but this proves to be disadvantageous when egg cartons are to be removed individually, for example, for sale. Beyond the jamming of egg cartons stacked on top of one another, the arrangement of the clamp elevations and openings in the known egg cartons offers no additional functionality.
- the invention has for its object to provide a food packaging of the type mentioned, in which the functionality of the clamping elements is improved.
- a food packaging in particular an egg carton, having a lower part, which has at least one row of mold cavities for receiving individual food pieces, in particular eggs, and a lid part, which is arranged foldably on the lower part, wherein the lower part and the lid part with complementary clamping elevations and clamping openings are provided, provided that the clamping openings are arranged on one of the two, the cover part or the lower part, and the clamping projections on the other of the two, the lower part or the lid part, wherein the clamping openings laterally offset with respect to the Clemmerhebisme are arranged.
- the inventive design ensures that the clamping elevations and clamping openings directly stacked food packages are not aligned with each other and therefore can not interlock. Jamming immediately stacked egg packages is avoided in this way. Nevertheless, and therein is the gist of the invention, food packages stacked on top of each other can be clamped together, when staggered. This provides a surprising additional functionality. Traditionally, food packaging, after its content is exhausted, no further function; they are thrown away after their contents are taken. The invention provides a second possibility of use for the food packaging, in particular for egg cartons ready. Because of the complementary clamping elevations and openings, the food packaging empty after use can continue to be used, namely as clamping blocks.
- the food packages according to the invention after they have met their packaging function, still serve as a toy. Since food packaging compared to conventional terminal blocks have relatively large dimensions, they are particularly suitable for the formation of comparatively large structures, such as the construction of playgrounds for children, which can not be made with conventional terminal blocks or only with disproportionate effort. Thanks to their size, they enable the rapid construction of even large structures. In addition, the food packaging according to the invention have the advantage that they are available as terminal blocks almost free.
- the arrangement according to the invention of the clamping elevations and clamping openings also has the advantage that the stackability of the food packaging in the opened state remains unaffected.
- the packages can continue to be stacked in the open state and possibly also easily unstacked.
- the clamping elevations and / or clamping openings are preferably not higher or lower than a maximum nesting height.
- the amount of the maximum nesting height depends on the specific parameters of the respective food packaging, in particular the desired Entnestungsiety and the required Space requirements.
- the nesting height is generally between 4 and 15 mm and is preferably between 7 and 9 mm. Thanks to the resulting stackability, storage costs for both the manufacturer and the packaging company are reduced and packaging can be made more efficient.
- the clamping openings are arranged so that they are arranged in the closed state of the cover part approximately centrally about two adjacent in a row Klemmerhebungen.
- a plurality of food packaging according to the invention can be arranged particularly well in association with one another. As a result, stable, over longer distances running wall sections can be built or even corner connection can be created.
- the upper edge of the cover part is designed so that their distance from the edge closest to the clamping opening is at most as large as the free distance between adjacent Klemmerhebungen. Free distance is understood to be the clear width between two adjacent clamping elevations.
- the clamping elevations and the clamping openings have a conicity of 2 ° to 15 °, preferably of 7 ° to 9 °. With such a conicity can be achieved on the one hand good security of the clamping connection, but on the other hand it still allows a sufficiently easy separation of the food packaging, without the excessive force required. This is especially true for the Entnesten of stacked in the open state food packaging.
- the clamping elevations are provided at its lower edge with a ring structure as a bulge.
- a ring structure which is toroidal, so that a toroidal recess is formed. Due to its shape, it forms an increased elasticity in this area, through which the packaged food is particularly well protected against damage by impact, for example by hard touchdown.
- bulges not only improve the protective function, but in addition they also improve the overall visual impression of the food packaging.
- At least six Klemmerhebept are provided, arranged in double row. It is understood that then a corresponding number, z. B. four, clamping openings are provided. With this number, a stable clamping connection of several food packages can be achieved in combination. Of course, eight or more clamp surveys can be provided.
- the cover part has an upwardly open trough and a covering means which covers the trough at the top.
- a covering means which covers the trough at the top.
- the trough is accessible from the outside in the closed state of the lid part. This ensures that on the one hand with the trough an additional stiffening element is available, on the other hand it is achieved that the trough and the cover means create a space in which items can be inserted.
- the covering prevents the inserted object from accidentally falling out of the trough.
- the covering means is designed so that it forms a closed receiving space in connection with the trough.
- the flanks and the bottom of the trough have no openings or only openings with a clearance that is small enough to prevent unwanted passage of the objects to be inserted.
- the objects to be loaded have preferably already been inserted by the supplier of the food packaging, but may also be placed in the packaging of the food or later by a dealer.
- the article may be, for example, labels with recipe information or small items, in particular children's toys, an egg spoon and / or a portion bag with spices.
- the customer then receives with the food packaging not only the food contained therein, but as added value and the inserted into the trough object.
- the covering has in addition to its securing function yet another important effect. The user must first remove the cover from the trough to access the object therein.
- the trough also acts stiffening for the lid part. It forms with its flanks an additional ribbing for the lid part, which thus gains in rigidity. This also improves the protective function of the food packaging according to the invention. Overall, therefore, results in a surprising combinatorial effect, namely that on the one hand the food packaging is stiffened and thus the food is better protected, and on the other hand, the presentation is improved by the fact that a receiving space for small items is created.
- the covering means is a sticker.
- This can be covered in a particularly rational and cost effective way the trough.
- the sticker provides a printing surface that can be used for other presentation purposes or for other advertising printouts.
- the tray is positioned to be midway between these two rows. But it can also be provided more troughs, which are then preferably arranged parallel to each other.
- the cover part is provided with retaining recesses, which are preferably connected to the trough.
- the retaining recesses additionally stiffen the cover part.
- they can be shaped so that they interact with the male food pieces, so in an egg carton, especially with the top of the eggs.
- unwanted movements of the eggs in the mold cavities can be prevented, as they occur, for example, in rapid movement of an egg carton, especially during transport.
- the trough connected to the retaining recesses this also has the advantage that a much larger receiving space arises at the same time increased rigidity of the lid part.
- the trough and the retaining recesses have approximately the same depth. This ensures that the soles of the respective wells are at the same height, so that they form a total of a flat surface. This has the advantage that the lid part and thus the entire food packaging receives an appealing appearance, as would be the case at different depths with resulting rugged structure of the sole.
- the trough may also have a greater depth than the retaining recesses, so that forms a groove in the receiving space in the trough. On the one hand, such a channel may well be desirable for the objects to be loaded. On the other hand, the groove acts in addition stiffening, so that the rigidity of the lid part is further improved.
- the trough and / or the retaining recesses has a depth that is not greater than a maximum nesting height of the food package.
- a maximum nesting height of the food package By limiting the depth to the maximum nesting height, the stackability of the food packaging in the opened, still unfilled state is improved.
- a particular advantage is that the food packaging can be stacked even when already closed by the cover trough. This is particularly advantageous in the case when the covering means is a sticker, such as a label. Then already labeled food packaging can be stacked. This makes it possible to label the food packages before filling and to provide them with the objects to be loaded.
- the nesting height is usually between 4 and 15 mm and is preferably between 7 and 9 mm.
- the holding recesses are arranged laterally offset from the mold cavities.
- Laterally offset means that the retaining recesses in the cover part are not located exactly above the respective mold recesses of the bottom part, but are horizontally offset, so that a holding recess is arranged approximately in the middle over two adjacent recesses in a row.
- a smaller number of retaining recesses are sufficient to act on all packaged food pieces in the food package. For example, in an egg box for six eggs then four holding wells are sufficient.
- the retaining recesses it may be expedient if the retaining recesses have a bulge on their sole exhibit. This bulge may be concave or preferably convex, ie curved upwards.
- the retaining recesses are designed as clamping openings and the mold cavities as clamping elevations.
- the mold cavities may be provided with a lower edge sized to frictionally engage the clamping apertures. In this way, the Anlagenverpakkung can be formed as a terminal block with little additional effort.
- FIG. 1 An inventive egg carton is in Fig. 1 in the unfolded state, in Fig. 2 shown in the closed state.
- the designated in its entirety by the reference numeral 1 egg carton comprises a lower part 2 and a lid part 3, which attaches via a bending hinge 25 hinged to the lower part 2 is, as well as an attached sticker 7 (see Fig. 3 ).
- the lid part 3 rests on the lower part 2 and completely covers it.
- the lid part 3 By pivoting the lid part 3 about the axis of the bending hinge 25 by about 180 °, the lid part 3 is brought into its open position. In this position, the lid part 3 is approximately in a plane with the bottom part 2. In this position, several egg packages can be stacked to save space.
- the bottom part 2 has a plurality of mold cavities for receiving eggs.
- the mold cavities 21 are arranged in two parallel rows of three mold cavities 21 each.
- the mold cavities 21 are formed by corresponding design of the wall of the bottom part 2 and by two supports 23 arranged in the middle.
- the mold cavities are designed so that eggs inserted into them do not touch each other.
- two retaining lugs are arranged on a front side of the bottom part 2.
- the cover part 3 is of trough-shaped design and consists of a rear part, an upper part 31, two side parts 32 and a front part 33.
- two openings 34 are arranged, which are intended to cooperate with the lugs 24 of the bottom part 2 to the Cover part 3 in the closed state with the bottom part 2 to lock.
- the lid part 3 limited in the closed state together with the bottom part 2 an interior in which the eggs are arranged protected.
- FIG. 2 the design of the upper part 31 of the cover part can be seen closer.
- the upper part 31 is bounded by an upper edge 30.
- the upper part 31 is provided with four retaining recesses 36.
- the retaining recesses 36 are arranged offset with respect to the mold recesses 21 of the bottom part 2, in such a way that in the closed state of the egg carton 1, the holding recesses 36 are each centrally arranged over two immediately adjacent in a row mold recesses 21.
- the retaining recesses 36 each have a sole 38, which include a convex upwardly curved recess 37.
- the recess 37 serves to stiffen the sole 38 of the retaining recess 36. With the edge of the sole 38, each of the retaining recesses 36 is stabilizing on the top of the eggs, which are arranged in the form-like adjacent recesses 21. It is not mandatory that the eggs touch the edge of the sole 38 in the inserted state; This is often not the case, especially for smaller eggs. Rather, the effect of the retaining recess 36 is to limit unwanted movement of the top of the eggs. As a result, damage can be avoided by beating eggs in adjacent mold cavities 11 as a result of abrupt and rough handling of the egg carton.
- the holding recesses 36 also serve to additionally stiffen the lid part 3. As a result, egg carton 1 can better protect the packaged eggs from damage. In addition, this improves the stackability of the egg carton. 1
- Fig. 4 are several egg cartons 1, 1 ', 1''shown in the terminal assembly. Also shown is another egg carton 1 *, which is not in the terminal assembly with the other egg cartons.
- Fig. 4 or in detail too Fig. 2 can be seen, the lower part 2 of the egg package 1 at the respective lower ends of the mold cavities 21 a clamping elevation 5. This is formed as a peripheral edge of the respective mold cavity 21.
- the retaining recesses 36 are formed in such a way that they function as clamping openings 6.
- the dimensions of the clamping elevations 5 and clamping openings 6 are coordinated so that the clamping elevations 5 can be positively received in the clamping openings 6.
- the retaining recesses 36 have the same distance from each other as the mold cavities 21 with their clamping elevations 5, a plurality of egg cartons 1, 1 'can be mutually connected by clamping.
- the upper edge 30 of the cover part 3 is drawn in so far that their distance from the next clamping opening 6 is less than the distance of the clamping elevations 5 of each other. This ensures that with a staggered mounting of an egg carton 1 on another egg carton 1 'none of the mold cavities 5 collides with the upper part 31 of the lid part 3. A slanted seat of the upper egg carton 1 is thus avoided. As a result, a secure clamping seat is achieved.
- the staggered arrangement of the Klemmerhebungen 5 and the clamping openings 6 also causes exactly stacked egg cartons 1, 1 * can not jam together. This is in the upper part of the Fig. 4 to recognize.
- the staggered arrangement has the advantage that when exactly stacked egg cartons 1, 1 'the clamping journals 5 each rest on the top 31 and are not on terminal openings 6, so that they must be carried by the sticker 7. The risk of damage to the sticker 7 by overloading is counteracted.
- a plurality of egg cartons 1, 1 '' can be connected by clamping with each other accordingly. This allows the construction of corner structures.
- the clamping elevations 5 at the bottom and the clamping openings 6 at the top of the egg cartons 1 can be supplied to a second use as terminal blocks. Since they are available at low cost and have relatively large dimensions, they are suitable as toys for small and large children. With the egg cartons as terminal blocks can be built quickly and inexpensively relatively large structures, such as playhouses or play castles.
- a trough 4 is arranged approximately in the middle of the upper part 31 of the lid part 3.
- the trough 4 is aligned parallel to the axis of the bending hinge 25 and extends over at least half of the cover part 3, in the example shown approximately over a 3 ⁇ 4 of the length.
- the trough 4 connects all four retaining recesses 36 with each other. This results in a receiving space 40, which seen from above has the shape of a rounded letter "H".
- a sole 41 of the trough 4 is deeper than the sole 38 of the retaining recesses 36. This creates within the receiving space 40, a middle trough. It is understood that the sole 41 of the trough 4 can also be higher than the sole 38 of the retaining recesses 36.
- the sole 41 is at the same height as the sole 38 of the retaining recesses 36.
- the resulting by the connection of the retaining recesses 36 with the trough 4 receiving space 40 is relatively spacious. It is suitable both for receiving elongated objects, as well as such objects with irregular shape, such as a bottle opener with its widened end.
- the length of the trough 4 is suitably chosen so that the male object can be easily put into it. The length need not necessarily be determined by the distance of the retaining recess 36, it may also be selected larger or smaller depending on the respective requirements.
- the flanks of the trough 4 and the holding recess 36 are inclined relative to the vertical.
- the size of the slope is dependent on the material properties, in particular the material thickness and the friction coefficient and is usually between 2 ° and 20 °, preferably between 6 ° and 9 °. This allows the stacked egg cartons optimally unstacked again, ie, it results in a good Entnestungsiety.
- a sticker 7 is provided. It is glued to the upper part 31 of the lid part 3 so that it extends over the four retaining recesses 36 and the trough 4, so that the entire receiving space 40 is covered by the sticker 7.
- the sticker 7 but not only serves to prevent the falling out of the inserted object. It also has the function of hiding the object placed in the receiving space 40 in front of the user's eye. Thus, the user knows only when removing the sticker 7 of the cover part of the egg carton 1, which hides an object behind it in the receiving space 40. As a result, a quite desirable surprise effect is achieved, the egg carton leaves the user a more emphatic and positive impression.
- the sticker 7 has the further advantage that it still provides a printing surface that can be used for product information or advertising.
- size of the sticker is arbitrary, as long as he trough 4 and the holding connection 36 sufficiently covers.
- the sticker can also be made substantially larger, so its front can be pulled down to the lower edge of the front part 33 of the lid part 3.
