Description

  • The invention relates to a panel, in particular a floor panel, made of a wood material, which is provided with means for releasably connecting at least two panels. Forming elements for locking in the vertical direction and in the horizontal direction are formed on at least one side edge of a first panel with a further panel, a chamfer being formed on at least one side edge starting from an upper side of the panel.
  • Such a panel is from the WO 01/96688 A1 known. In the prior art, the bevel resulting from milling either left untreated or covered by a decorative strip, which is either laminated or glued. Such a process is very complicated and requires high-precision work, since the chamfers are very narrow. The manufacturing costs are high due to the correspondingly slower process speeds, it also comes with inaccurate gluing to optically ineligible products or poor coverage, resulting in a liquid entry to swell the wood material.
  • The DE 199 29 635 A1 describes an easily manageable panel element with multiple surface design, in which one lateral edge may be formed as a groove and the other edge as a spring or as a groove. The upper groove cheek is rounded or chamfered on the front as a round profile or fiber profile. On the top of the carrier plate, a Fumierschicht may be glued.
  • The DE 203 15 676 U1 describes a panel, in particular floor panel with a core of a wood material and applied on a visible side decor, the visible side is provided on at least one side edge with an angle thereto extending chamfer and the chamfer is also provided with a decor.
  • The DE 203 17 527 U1 describes a floor panel with a support plate and a decorative layer on the top, which is formed of a so-called overlay. The overlay is based on a thermosetting resin. Depressed recesses are formed on the top of the floor panel. On the side edges positive locking elements are provided for the positive locking of two panels in both horizontal and vertical directions.
  • The DE 201 08 951 U1 describes a floor laminate with a tongue and groove design, which are covered with a utility and decorative layer of electron beam hardened material. The decorative layer is integrally formed and includes the rounded and beveled portions of the body to achieve a uniform joint or edgeless surface of the laminate. The utility and decorative layer is folded into the groove and extends to the end face of the spring and covers it partially.
  • Based on this prior art, the object of the invention is to provide a surface seal improved panel.
  • According to the invention this object is achieved in that the interlocking elements are impregnated with at least one melamine layer, which can achieve a higher resistance of the panel with respect to the mechanical wear or against the ingress of water. Furthermore, a higher quality than the prior art with respect to the sealing of the chamfer surface is ensured.
  • In a further development it is provided that a decorative layer is applied to the top of the panel, which preferably consists of a melamineträhkten paper layer. On the surface of the chamfer a decorative layer of paper is also applied, alternatively, the chamfer is painted or printed, preferably in color of the decorative layer. Subsequently, the thus treated bevel is coated or impregnated with melamine, whereby the desired resistance to water or mechanical abrasion is achieved. This coating of the locking elements and optionally the chamfer serves as a seal of the wood material against mechanical stress and penetration of moisture or foreign bodies. The applied lacquer layer or the print alternatively has a coloring approaching the decorative layer, so that the most uniform coloring of the surface in the installed state is achieved. Alternatively, due to aesthetic preferences, contrasting colors may be provided so that the V-shaped butt joint formed between two panels is emphasized. A color design is particularly advantageous if the carrier plate of the decorative layer has been produced from a fiber material, which generally have a less color-responsive design. If other wood-based materials are used, for example, when using chipboard or OSB boards, can be dispensed with a decorative layer, but usually transparencies or transparent protective layers are pressed onto the surfaces of such materials to ensure surface protection.
  • To increase the throughput speeds, it is provided that the applied melamine is dried over a heat radiator or a heating channel. To avoid premature curing or lumping or a non-uniform coating, it is provided that in the environment of the applicator head a standard climate is created, so that the melamine or lacquer application is always carried out under the same microclimatic conditions. This happens because the air is moistened in the vicinity of the paint head.

  • FIG. 1 shows a panel 1 in a cross-sectional view, which is coated on a top 15 with a decorative layer 16 and on a bottom 5 with a so-called Gegenzugschicht 6. The core 10 of the panel 1 is made of MDF or HDF material and is compressed under high pressure during manufacture. The decorative layer 16 and backing layer 6 serve as a stabilizing film and give the panel 1 a durable surface. The arranged on the side edges of form-locking elements 2, 3 serve to lock several panels together and lock the panels both in the horizontal direction H and in the vertical direction V.   • As an alternative to the use of fiberboard as core 10, OSB materials, chipboard or plywood can be used. Starting from the upper side 15, a chamfer 20, which forms a V-shaped butt joint in the locked state, is milled out on the two side edges.
  • In order to avoid swelling of the core 10 and to make the panel 1 more durable, it is provided that the surfaces of the chamfers 20 are provided with a lacquer layer, a paper layer or a pressure, which are coated with a melamine layer 21.
  • FIG. 2 shows a detailed view of the panel 1 in an enlarged view, from which it can be seen that on a side edge of the panel 1 of the decorative layer 16 and the core 10 material removed, preferably milled. These preferably Chamfer 20 arranged at an angle of 45 ° is coated with a melamine layer 21, the melamine layer 21 being applied after painting, printing or coating with a paper layer.
  • The paint may be formed as opaque paint when the core 10 of the panel 1 has an undesirable color. In particular, when using natural woods, such as in a laminated wood or OSB boards, no decorative layer must be present, but a surface seal, for example, by a transparent melamine film is sufficient. Then, the paint to be applied and the melamine layer 21 for sealing the bevel 20 may also be transparent.
  • As an alternative to a color-coordinated formation of the lacquer layer or the melamine layer 21, this may be designed to be contrasting with the decorative layer 16 in order to emphasize the formation of the joint.
  • In contrast to a foil application to the chamfer 20, the lacquering or the printing and the subsequent coating with melamine has a higher quality in terms of moisture and abrasion resistance, also the process management is easier and high throughput speeds and thus increased productivity can be achieved. The drying of the paint, the printing ink and the melamine is carried out by a heat radiator, which preferably operates in a range of 200 ° C to 400 ° C.

Claims (5)

  1. Panel, in particular a flooring panel, of a wood based material which is provided with means for the detachable connection of at least one other panel (1), whereby from-fitting elements (2, 3) for locking in the vertical direction (V) and in the horizontal direction (H) with the other panel are embodied on at least one lateral edge of the panel (19), whereby a chamfer (20) is embodied on at least one lateral edge starting from an upper side (15), characterized in that the form-fitting elements (2, 3) are impregnated with at least one melamine layer (21).
  2. Panel according to claim 1, characterized in that a decorative layer (16) is applied to the upper side (15) of the panel (1) and the melamine layer (21) features a coloring approximating the decorative layer (16).
  3. Panel according to claim 1, characterized in that a decorative layer (16), a varnish layer is applied on the chamfer (20) of the panel (1) or the chamfer (20) is printed and as a finish, the melamine layer (21) is applied.
  4. Panel according to claim 1, characterized in that the chamfer (20) is coated or impregnated with at least one melamine layer (21).
  5. Panel according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that fiber boards, OSB materials, particle boards or plywood is used as a core (10) of the panel (1).
