Definitions
- the invention relates to a single-use packaging for liquid, pasty or pulverulent product, offered for sale in the form
- a preferred field of application of the invention is that of the application of cosmetic, medicinal or antiseptic compositions, in particular any composition for skin application.
- the bulbs can be formed from such sheets in the form of strips joining together to form a succession of bulbs.
- the product doses are injected between the strips, before the welds are formed and the ampoules are then separated from each other.
- Such a method is for example described in the document FR 99 14 729, which
- FIG. 20 also shows how such ampoules can be integrated into an applicator capsule.
- the applicator portion is protected by an impermeable seal.
- the capsule is crushed so that the product soaks the applicator, which allows it to be applied to the skin, or even to a wound, if it is a
- the invention aims to improve this type of packaging.
- the invention relates to a single-use packaging for liquid, pasty or pulverulent product, of the type
- the protective envelope once opened, facilitates application, the user not running the risk of coating the fingers of the product in question.
- the bulb when the bulb is housed in a capsule comprising an applicator, said capsule is fixed to the abovementioned internal face of one of the two parts.
- the applicator is impregnated with the product when the ampoule is fractured and this operation can be carried out before opening the protective envelope, by exerting sufficient finger pressure on the envelope to fracture the ampoule with the inside the applicator.
- the ampoule can be directly attached to said internal face.
- the envelope is formed from two flexible and impermeable parts, typically obtained from sheets of plastic and metal laminated together.
- the two parts are joined by a closed contour junction line surrounding the location of the capsule. Consequently, when the packaging is offered to the user, the capsule is completely enclosed in the waterproof protective envelope while the ampoule is itself enclosed in the capsule comprising the applicator.
- the capsule can be welded by one of its faces to said internal face of one of the two parts constituting the protective envelope.
- the capsule itself comprises a first piece of flexible material (typically a material of the "non-woven" type) fixed to said internal face and a second piece of flexible and porous material forming said applicator. These two parts are joined by a junction line with a closed contour and they trap said bulb between them.
- a piece of wadding or the like can be housed in the capsule, preferably between the ampoule and said second piece of flexible and porous material forming said applicator.
- this packaging is supplemented by an adhesive dressing.
- a peelable envelope containing said dressing to adhesive is fixed by one of its faces to an external face of the protective envelope. Therefore, after the application of the product, the user does not have to look in his equipment for an adhesive bandage to protect a wound since it is available on the packaging itself. So that the application of said dressing can be done very easily and possibly with one hand, the outside face of said dressing is loosely fixed to the inside face of the part of the peelable envelope which is not fixed to the envelope. protection.
- This type of dressing is known per se and described in US Patent 5,511,6189, but the fact of making it available on the packaging makes it easier to use.
- FIG. 1 is a schematic perspective view of the packaging according to the invention.
- FIG. 2 is a bottom view of Figure 1;
- - Figure 3 is a section III-III of Figure 2;
- FIG. 4 is a view of the open package, ready for use
- FIG. 5 illustrates the implementation of the applicator, on a wound
- the single-use packaging 11 as it is offered to the user is externally in the form of an envelope 12, hereinafter called protective envelope, comprising two parts of impermeable material 13, 14, separable.
- protective envelope comprising two parts of impermeable material 13, 14, separable.
- said protective envelope bears, on one of its faces, another peelable envelope 18, containing an adhesive bandage 19.
- the particularities of this peelable envelope and of this dressing will be described later. This is obviously only an option which is only justified if the product contained in the packaging is intended to treat a wound or burn then needing to be protected by said dressing.
- the packaging also contains a sealed ampoule 20, which can be fractured, containing a dose of the product to be applied.
- This bulb is attached to the internal face of one of the two parts constituting the protective envelope.
- the bulb 20 cannot be detached from the protective casing 12 even when the latter is open.
- the bulb 20 is housed in a capsule 24 comprising an applicator, this arrangement being known per se.
- the capsule 24 is fixed to the internal face 25 of the part 13 of the protective envelope.
- the applicator is soaked with said product when the ampoule is effectively fractured. This operation is carried out by exerting pressure on the protective casing 12 before opening it.
- the capsule 24 comprises a first piece of flexible material 26 which is fixed, in this case welded to said internal face 25, and a second piece of flexible and porous material 28 forming said applicator.
- said first part 26 comes from a sheet material of the "non-woven” type while the second part also comes from a sheet of material of the "non woven” type but having all the qualities required for the application of the product.
- a piece of wadding 32 or the like is housed in the capsule, here between the bulb 20 and said second piece 28.
- the meeting of the two parts forming the walls of the capsule and the welding of the latter on the internal face 25 of the part 13 of the protective envelope 12 are produced by melting the materials, on application of a hot tool in the shape of the contour of the junction 30.
- the two parts 13, 14 are also in flexible material and joined together by a junction line with a closed contour 35 surrounding the location of the capsule.
- the surface of each piece 13, 14 of the protective envelope is significantly larger than the surface of the capsule 24 which is fixed to the center of one of the two pieces of impermeable material.
- junction line 35 therefore surrounds a substantially larger surface than that occupied by the capsule, substantially in the center of said piece of impermeable material.
- This junction line 35 is a bonding or welding line with low resistance allowing separation of the two aforementioned parts by the so-called “peel-off” effect.
- peel-off a bonding or welding line with low resistance allowing separation of the two aforementioned parts by the so-called “peel-off” effect.
- certain “complexes” of metallized plastic are designed to allow such peelability.
- the part 13 on which the capsule is fixed can be produced from a "complex" consisting of a polyethylene layer 12 ⁇ m thick, a metallization layer and another layer of 80 ⁇ m polyethylene known as PE, allowing peelability.
- the other part constituting the protective envelope can be made from another similar complex. At least one of the two surfaces applied against each other is treated so as to allow peelability as soon as the junction line 35 with a closed contour is produced by applying a heated tool of corresponding shape to the two parts, after welding of said capsule.
- the junction line 35 extends, over part of its length, at a distance from the facing edges of said two pieces of flexible material 13, 14, which defines two pull tabs 36, 37 allowing the separation of said two rooms.
- the center of the closed protective envelope is pressed to cause the rupture of the bulb 20.
- the product soaks the applicator (see FIG. 4) and one can then open the protective envelope 12 , on at least three of its sides.
- the open envelope facilitates the handling of the capsule 24 and the use of the product available through the applicator (see FIG. 5).
- the peelable envelope 18 containing the adhesive dressing 19 is fixed by one of its faces to an outer face of the protective envelope 12.
- the inner part 39 of the peelable envelope 18 which is fixed to the outer surface of the 'protective envelope has a resistance to tearing significantly greater than the effort required to open the peelable envelope. Consequently, the interior part of the peelable envelope remains attached to said protective envelope.
- the peelable envelope when the peelable envelope is opened to grip the dressing (see Figure 6).
- the external face of the dressing is loosely fixed (by moderate bonding, for example) to the internal face of the external part 40 of the peelable envelope which is not fixed to the protective envelope. Consequently, when the peelable envelope is opened, the dressing 19 remains fixed to the part 40 on which it is pulled.
- the adhesive parts being released, the dressing can be applied ( Figure 7) by handling the detached part of said peelable envelope, without risking touching the sterile area.
- the adhesive zones of the dressing stick to the skin sufficiently (FIG. 8) so that, by pulling on said part 40 of the peelable envelope, the latter detaches from the dressing.
- the sterilization treatment can be applied after fixing the peelable envelope containing the dressing, on said protective envelope containing the capsule.
