Abstract

Description
本發明係關於隱形眼鏡消費者所使用的包裝。更具體而言,本包裝幫助抑制紫外光穿過包裝的透射,且因此保護隱形眼鏡免受UV曝露。此特性將可有益於包裝含有任何光敏感性或UV敏感性化合物(諸如藥物及/或光敏感化合物(諸如光致變色化合物))的隱形眼鏡。已知鏡片若曝露於紫外光或可見光,會導致折損光敏感性化合物之功效,雖不至對使用者造成危險,但會失去其獨特產品效益。
隱形眼鏡當前正擴展其供貨選擇,使得產品組合將包括含有光吸收或UV吸收化合物之隱形眼鏡,諸如光致變色隱形眼鏡、或高能量可見(HEV)光吸收隱形眼鏡,其中一些為光敏感性。

開發「光管理保護蓋件(Light Management Protective Cover, LMPC)」以解決過早使光曝露至光致變色及其他光敏感性產品的問題。LMPC係在目前隱形眼鏡主要包裝表面上使用的可附接或經黏著/接合的蓋件/遮蓋,以防止/限制使光曝露(包括但不限於UV)至其內容物(包括但不限於隱形眼鏡)。
LMPC係在滅菌後施加至該隱形眼鏡碗體的下側,並且意欲保持固定至主要包裝的外側。因此,本發明不會影響與鏡片包裝一起使用的熱封或滅菌程序,其為用於確保滅菌阻障包裝系統的兩個最重要處理技術。此外,LPMC蓋件不會與包裝溶液或實體鏡片本身接觸,且該主要包裝碗體提供介於蓋件與鏡片之間足夠的阻障。因此,此解決方案減少關於該蓋件之任何材料浸入於包裝內部中之任何者、浸入含有鏡片的溶液、或浸入於鏡片本身的疑慮,因為所有這些元件從未與LPMC接觸。

圖3A、圖3B、及圖3C描述前述設計的進一步修改。如在這些圖式中所見,蓋件100、120之「扣合」特徵被移除。現在,蓋件140、145及150併入用於超音波焊接的特徵。此等係在這三個圖式之各者中描述為所見的凸片142、147、152。這些修改現在進一步減少鏡片曝露於光的可能性。如圖3A、圖3B及圖3C中所見,進一步強化蓋件140、145或150與碗體210之間的接觸,使得任何扣合特徵被消除。凸緣142、147、152之各者可藉由超音波或熱端焊接程序來熔合接合或焊接至碗體210,其等係包裝產業中已知的標準技術。
圖4A、圖4B及圖4C描述圖3A、圖3B及圖3C之概念的進一步修改。現在,如圖4A、圖4B及圖4C中可見,提供較大的焊接點,其提供隔開鄰接包裝200之碗體210之熱密封環220的距離。這些延伸翼或尾部129、149、159使蓋件225至包裝碗體210的焊接能夠與熱密封環220隔開。此特徵確保對於在碗體210與包裝封膜之間已經產生之熱密封接合的最小損害,並且在包裝200上維持滅菌阻障。該封膜係由可壓力成形箔所形成,包括經層壓聚酯及鋁箔層壓複合物。
最後,圖5展示在圖4C中所見之蓋件的「方形化(squared up)」修改,使得降低光滲漏的可能。提供蓋件500至包裝550之附接,使得有一增加的表面積用於焊接。此特徵提供碗體510之強化覆蓋,使碗體510至蓋件500之焊接更容易,且與熱密封環隔開更遠。
如最佳於圖5可見,蓋件500及包裝550經理想地設計用於容納光致變色隱形眼鏡。該包裝經組態以處理及最小化光致變色隱形眼鏡之UV曝露。用於蓋件500的較佳材料係具有UV阻斷劑及TiO2之聚丙烯。當與由聚丙烯所形成且具有介於0.55 mm與0.85 mm之間的壁厚度的一般隱形眼鏡包裝搭配使用時,蓋件500的較佳材料厚度約為0.375 mm。此允許蓋件為柔軟但又堅固地附接至包裝550。然而瞭解到,蓋件500之厚度可在0.025 mm至1.0 mm之範圍內,以滿足特定產品要求。同樣地,當然亦可使用其他材料,也將於下文說明。
設想可用作為LMPC蓋件的材料的範圍相當廣。選擇材料應與用於主要包裝550且特別是碗體510的材料相容,使得當熔融接合或焊接時,形成兩種材料之間的接合。舉例來說,如果碗體510係由聚丙烯製成,則用於作為蓋件500的較佳材料亦為聚丙烯,雖然可使用任何其他熱塑性聚合物,諸如基於丙烯之彈性體、聚丙烯與聚乙烯之摻合物、EVA等。所需要的是,蓋件500能夠限制UV光通過。
同樣地,如果碗體510係由環烯烴聚合物(COP)製成,LMPC蓋件500的較佳材料選項亦為COP,但可使用任何其他熱塑性聚合物,諸如COP摻合物、環烯烴共聚物(COC)或COC摻合物、EVA等、或任何其他UV限制材料。取決於產品關鍵品質因素要求(CTQs)及主要包裝碗體510的材料組成,蓋件500應含有具有或不具有添加劑(諸如TiO2
、UV阻斷劑、著色母料等)的相容熱塑性樹脂。蓋件500中的UV吸收劑可為諸如以下之材料的添加劑:苯并三唑;二苯基酮(benzophenone);三;或這些添加劑中之兩者或更多者之組合。
蓋件500應固定地附接至包裝550。較佳的固定方法係藉由將蓋件500熱焊接至泡殼包裝來將該蓋件接合至泡殼包裝,諸如藉由使用熱工具尖端作為外部熱源,以在蓋件500周圍的具體有用區施加熱。此處所指的施加熱,將傾向最低程度地但又充分地熔化形成蓋件500的聚合物,從而在蓋件500與包裝550之表面之間建立機械接合。自然地,設想可利用其他附接手段,諸如熱附接(雷射、紅外線)及摩擦(諸如振動、超音波)接合技術之形式。
如圖6A及圖6B可見,描述本發明之包裝的進一步修改。在此,包裝600具有附接至碗體605的預成形蓋件601。此蓋件601一般係藉由射出成型製成。蓋件601通常藉由雷射焊接、後期製作來附接至碗體605。當然,其為不透UV光的,與本發明之揭露一致。蓋件601通常經按壓適配至碗體605中,但替代地其可經雷射焊接或音波焊接至碗體605。如圖605中可見,包裝之組態使得可在生產中形成一串之包裝600。然後,可將蓋件601連續地施加至碗體605。
以此方式,包裝之開啟及閉合功能不會被影響,也不能被影響。然而,由於附接至隱形眼鏡包裝之本發明的蓋件,特定形式的光(諸如UV光)被抑制而不穿透包裝(例如包裝550)及含在其內部溶液中之隱形眼鏡570。此配置保存鏡片之光致變色態樣的功能。
上文實施例中所描述之包裝亦可用於保護含有其他光敏感性化合物之隱形眼鏡,包括光敏性HEV吸收化合物。

Claims (18)
- 一種隱形眼鏡包裝,其包含: 一碗體,其用於固持一隱形眼鏡; 一膜,其接合該碗體,以便在該碗體與該膜之間固持一隱形眼鏡;及 及一光管理保護蓋件,其附接至該碗體,使得該蓋件控制通過該蓋件且至該碗體上的光類型。
- 如請求項1所述之包裝,其中該蓋件防止紫外光通過。
- 如請求項1所述之包裝,其中該碗體大致上為半透明。
- 如請求項1所述之包裝,其中該蓋件扣合在該碗體上方。
- 如請求項1所述之包裝,其中該蓋件經焊接至該碗體。
- 如請求項1所述之包裝,其中該蓋件進一步含有供一使用者之手指抓握的凸緣。
- 如請求項1所述之包裝,其中該蓋件經超音波焊接至該碗體。
- 一種隱形眼鏡包裝,其包含: 一碗體,其用於固持一隱形眼鏡; 一大致上半透明蓋件,其置放在該碗體上方;及 及一光管理保護插件,其附接至該蓋件,使得該插件控制通過該插件且至該蓋件上的光類型。
- 如請求項8所述之包裝,其中該蓋件防止紫外光通過。
- 如請求項8所述之包裝,其中該碗體大致上為半透明。

- 組合:一隱形眼鏡包裝,其包含: 一碗體,其用於固持一隱形眼鏡; 一膜,其接合該碗體,以便在該碗體與該膜之間固持一隱形眼鏡;及 及一光管理保護蓋件,其可釋離地附接至該碗體,使得該蓋件控制通過該蓋件且至該碗體上的光類型;及 一隱形眼鏡,其被固持在該包裝內。
- 一種蓋件,其經調適以置放在該碗體上方形成一隱形眼鏡包裝之外側,該蓋件阻擋紫外光通過至該碗體中。
- 如請求項15所述之包裝,其進一步包括附接至該碗體的一封膜(lidstock),該封膜係由一可壓力成形箔所形成。
- 如請求項17所述之包裝,其中該可壓力成形箔係一層壓聚酯或一鋁箔複合物。
