Definitions

  • the invention relates to a cleaning device for surfaces exposed to the weather, in particular roof surfaces, solar system surfaces, glass roofs or facades, the cleaning device having copper-containing reaction surfaces which, by the action of natural moisture, produce surface-cleaning compounds, preferably substances which kill bacteria, algae, fungi and / or lichens or at least inhibit their growth and / or eliminate environmental pollution.
  • Similar cleaning devices are generally known, in particular these known cleaning devices are mostly roof elements, such as metal roof panels for application to the roof of a house.
  • the inventor has recognized that it is not sufficient to produce the above-mentioned cleaning devices from a simple copper sheet.
  • the state of the art generally describes that "copper” can be used as a particularly effective metal, but no specific specification of the copper sheet to be used is specified.
  • the commercially available tinsmith sheet which is usually used for the manufacture of dormer coverings , Gutters or gutter pipes or uses similar flat materials that are particularly suitable for deforming processing.
  • a copper alloy with a relatively low copper content is used in the production of such sheets.
  • Most of them are copper-zinc alloys, which, in addition to copper, contain a high proportion of other elements in order to produce the desired material properties, such as flexibility and tensile strength.
  • a small selection of the copper types available is given, for example, in the "Taschenbuch für den Maschinenbau", Dubbel, 15th edition, pages 1378-1379.
  • copper sheets of this type do not form the optimal surface in order to produce the desired effective connections.
  • the compact copper material is rolled into its final flat material form by multiple rolling processes, with oils or oil emulsions being applied to avoid cold welding, which lead to contamination of the surface.
  • a passivation for the metal sheets used is carried out for the so-called tinsmith sheet, which is mostly used, to produce a patination, which produces a rapid patination of the sheet.
  • a bath of benzotriazole may be used with other additives to accelerate patination.
  • the cleaning device it is necessary to have a reaction surface which is as pure as possible and consists only of copper and does not have any contamination from other substances.
  • This surface shows the desired reaction with the atmosphere and can produce a sufficient amount of antifouling compounds from the reaction products in connection with natural moisture.
  • This can be achieved by following the Production of the raw material of the cleaning device, possibly generated surface contaminations are removed mechanically, thermally or chemically or, better still, do not arise at all during production.
  • cleaning devices of this type can be used not only to keep roof surfaces clean but also to keep them clean for all surfaces exposed to the weather, in particular these are also solar system surfaces, glass roofs or building facades.
  • the inventor thus proposes, in accordance with his inventive concept, to improve the known cleaning device for surfaces exposed to the weather, in particular for roof surfaces, solar system surfaces, glass roofs or building facades, the cleaning device having a large number of copper-containing reaction surfaces, which by The action of natural moisture produces surface-cleaning compounds, preferably substances which kill bacteria, algae, fungi and / or lichen or at least inhibit their growth and / or eliminate environmental pollution.
  • the improvement according to the invention is achieved in that the copper material used, which forms the reaction surfaces, is pure to low-alloy copper.
  • a copper material is preferably used here, which is designed such that when the surface is tested according to DIN 50017 with 100% atmospheric humidity with distilled water at 40 ° C. after 4 days at the latest, preferably has a visible oxidation layer after 2 days at the latest.
  • the copper material has admixtures of at most 0.1%, the purity of the copper material being at least 99.95%, preferably 99.960% to 99.985%.
  • These admixtures can advantageously be phosphorus, these preferably having a proportion of 0.015% to 0.040%.
  • a raw material from which the cleaning device is produced is preferably used, which goes through at least one rolling process, chemical passivation of the surface being dispensed with.
  • the reaction surface can be freed of unwanted impurities by at least one thermal and / or chemical and / or mechanical cleaning process.
  • the thermal cleaning process can be an annealing process which is carried out under a protective gas or vacuum, it being possible, for example, to use a gas based on noble gas and / or nitrogen and / or CO 2 as the protective gas.
  • the creation of a clean surface can take place in that the upper layer is removed mechanically, for example by grinding, planing or brushing. Furthermore, the surface can also be cleaned by sandblasting with sand, metal gravel - preferably copper gravel, since this does not create new impurities - or glass.
