Definitions
- the invention relates to a lid for a tower arranged in the tower or the vehicle pan of a combat vehicle ammunition space, wherein the lid has the features of the preamble of claim 1.
- Such a lid is known and, for example, in EP 0 551 635 A1 described.
- the well-known cover is part of an ammunition bunker on a main battle tank, the outer walls are divided by predetermined breaking lines and as a self-contained closed housing is formed, which is inserted into a shape adapted to the housing recess in the contour of the main battle tank and the ceiling plate is constructed of a plurality of longitudinally and transversely side by side in a fixed grid-like frame plate elements arranged in the frame are held inflatable outward. This ensures that in the event of an explosion of stored ammunition in the ammunition ammunition of the resulting pressure is rapidly reduced to allow a survival of the crew.
- the invention has for its object to provide a lid for an ammunition of the type mentioned at the beginning and in the preamble of claim 1 such that with good stability of the lid, a sufficiently rapid pressure reduction is achieved in the event of an explosion and even if on the lid, a secondary weapon is arranged.
- the basic idea of the invention is to achieve the opening of the ammunition space in the event of an explosion neither by tearing off the entire ammunition space cover from its fastening devices nor by the configuration of the entire ammunition space cover as a lattice-like frame in which outwardly blow-out plate elements are arranged, but in that a part of the base body is formed as a solid plate member which is fixedly connected to the outer frame and on which the secondary weapon is arranged, while the remaining remainder of the ammunition space cover in a conventional manner has a plurality of through openings, which are each closed with a bursting plate, which can be thrown outwards.
- the ammunition space cover according to the invention on the one hand has sufficient stability for receiving the secondary weapon and on the other hand is opened at a sufficiently low internal pressure.
- the bursting plates inserted into the openings of the ammunition space cover need not to be machined so that a different material can be used for their production than for the lid itself. This makes it possible to achieve an improved ballistic protection.
- the ammunition compartment lid is subjected to both horizontal and vertical high-frequency shock loads during operation of the gun carriage.
- the ammunition space cover according to the invention also opens up the possibility to design and store the lid and its attachment above the ammunition space in such a way that it has a particularly good rigidity in the horizontal, and this has the advantage that in a retrofitting of vehicles, the be retrofitted with a lid according to the invention, the structure of the tower roof does not need to be changed.
- the Fig. 1 to 3 show the ammunition space cover the ammunition space in the tower of a battle tank, not shown otherwise.
- the tower T has a roof panel P, in which an entry / exit hatch L is arranged. Behind the hatch is an ammunition room, which is covered with an integrated in the roof panel P ammunition space cover MD. On the ammunition space cover MD a secondary weapon W is arranged.
- the ammunition space cover has a base body 1, which is provided with openings 5.1, 5.2, 5.3, 5.4 and 9 which are continuous with the outside space, not shown.
- the base body 1 has a peripheral outer frame 2.1, 2.2, 2.3, 2.4, in which the through holes are formed by connected to the frame transverse ribs 3.1, 3.2, 3.3.
- a part of the main body 1 is formed as a solid plate member 4, on which a frame 6 for receiving the pivot bearing, not shown for the carriage of the secondary weapon W is arranged.
- the through opening 9 is located in this solid plate element 4 and serves to pass lines for the operation of the secondary weapon W.
- FIG. 1 and 2 show the through openings 5.1, 5.2 and 5.3 are each closed with a bursting plate 7.1, 7.2 and 7.3.
- the opening 5.4 is closed with a maintenance cover 8 to be opened.
- the bursting plates 7.1 to 7.3 are designed in such a way and anchored in the base body 1 that they are destroyed in an explosion in the ammunition room and / or thrown outwards.
- This is, as in the Fig. 4 and 5 shown on the example of the opening 5.3, the opening provided with a circumferential shoulder 5.31, resting on the parallel to the median plane of the opening lying bearing surface from the outside exploded bursting plate. This prevents the bursting plate from being thrown inwards when hit on the outside.
- Fig. 6 . 7 show the through openings 5.1, 5.2 and 5.3 are each closed with a bursting plate 7.1, 7.2 and 7.3.
- the opening 5.4 is closed with a maintenance cover 8 to be opened.
- the bursting plates 7.1 to 7.3 are designed in
- the used bursting plates 7.1 to 7.3 do not have to be machined mechanically, a different material can be used for their production than in the production of the main body, whereby an improved ballistic protection is achieved.
- the bursting plates may consist of armored steel or even of a composite material.
- the ammunition space cover is fastened to the vehicle via screw connections 10 arranged on the surrounding frame 2.1 to 2.4 such that the ammunition space is closed and the ammunition space cover MD is integrated into the roof panel P of the main battle tank T.
- screw connections 10 arranged on the surrounding frame 2.1 to 2.4 such that the ammunition space is closed and the ammunition space cover MD is integrated into the roof panel P of the main battle tank T.
- These are, as for example Fig. 6 . 10 . 12 and 13 can be seen on the underside of the frame parts 2.1 to 2.4 recesses 2.11 to 2.41 arranged, with which the main body 1 of the ammunition space cover on corresponding paragraphs 15.1 a receiving structure 15 (FIGS. Fig. 6 to 9 . 13 and 14 ) rests, which is integrated in the roof panel P.
- flat seals 14 are arranged between the bearing surfaces of the frame of the basic body 1 and the bearing surfaces of the receiving structure ( Fig. 6 and 10 ).
- the ammunition space cover is "soft" and almost flush with the top edge of the roof panel P.
- plungers 12 and 12 ' which are movable with the aid of screw spindles 13 and 13' to the outside.
- the frame of the base body 1 has a substantially quadrangular plan view, wherein at two corners of the frame, which are diagonally opposite each other, one of the pressure pieces 12 and 12 'having Clamping device is arranged.
- the pressure pieces 12 and 12 ' have a substantially trapezoidal outline and lie, as on the pressure piece 12 from Fig.
- the respective pressure piece 12 or 12' can be moved outwards, wherein the side surfaces 12.2 and 12.3 press against the inner surfaces of the receiving structure 15 and thus the ammunition space cover is clamped in the receiving structure 15.
- the forces occurring are in Fig. 8 located.
- the arrows P and P ' indicate the direction of the introduction of force via the threaded spindle 13 or 13' into the pressure piece 12 or 12 ', while the arrows P1 and P2 or P1' and P2 'indicate the directions of force in which the pressure pieces 12 and 12 'are supported in the receiving structure surrounding the ammunition space cover 15 and thus fix it horizontally.

Description

Fig. 1 bis 13 .
