Description

The invention relates to a modular weapon station, in particular for placement on a combat vehicle, with a trained as a machine gun primary weapon and one of the primary weapon mechanically tracked secondary weapon and coupled to the primary weapon sighting device.

The invention has for its object to build a modular weapon station of this type so that it is extremely versatile and can be arranged in particular on combat vehicles of very different design, both on wheeled and on tracked vehicles. The weapon station should be one as possible have low weight and be dimensioned so especially in terms of their height that the overall contour of a combat vehicle on which the weapon station is located, especially in terms of height within the prescribed dimensions remains, with which a transport of the entire combat vehicle in fixed wing aircraft and rotorcraft is possible.

The possibility of arranging the modular weapon station on different types of combat vehicles has i.a. the purpose of strengthening the self-protection of combat vehicles at close range. This is of particular importance when deploying combat vehicles on which antiaircraft system modules are located and which generally have limited self-defense capabilities. With the modular weapon station, it should be possible to arrange the modular weapon station on each such combat vehicle instead of an anti-aircraft system module, so that these combat vehicles can then take over the self-protection.

Furthermore, it should be possible in principle to arrange the modular weapon station on other vehicles, ships or on solid structures, such as buildings.

The solution of this object is achieved according to the invention with the features of the characterizing part of claim 1. Advantageous developments of the invention are described in the dependent claims.

A basic idea of the invention is to accommodate the modular weapon station in a very compact housing by a special arrangement and coupling of primary weapon, secondary weapon and display device, which has a relatively low weight and the lowest possible height and in which the outstanding in the horizontal plane Components, such as the gun barrel of the primary weapon and the barrel of the secondary weapon, are arranged so that the modular weapon station can be placed on very different types of vehicles on the roof panel of the combat vehicle, without affecting access to other arranged on the roof panel devices, such as the entry / exit hatches.

For this purpose, the elevation axis of the secondary weapon is located behind the trunnion of the primary weapon when viewed from the front, and the linkage for transmitting the elevation movement to the secondary weapon via a Parallelogrammgestänge which is coupled to the trunnion of the primary weapon. This shift of the elevation axis of the secondary weapon has the advantage of a low immersion depth of the secondary weapon and thus a lower height of the modular weapon station and an improved arrangement possibility on the roof plate of different combat vehicles.

This will be explained below with reference to exemplary embodiments.

The modular weapon station according to the invention is i.a. can be used for the self-protection of vehicles and combat units at close range. Aircraft, helicopters, combat vehicles and close-range objects can be fought with a high probability of hit and high ammunition.

As the drawings show, the weapon station on a closed housing 1, with a front wall 1.1, a rear wall 1.2, two side walls 1.3 and 1.4 and a roof panel 1.5. In the housing 1 are designed as a machine gun, such as drum gun, trained primary weapon 2 and designed as a machine gun secondary weapon 4 and equipped with an optoelectronic sensor device 3 are arranged. Secondary weapon and display unit are coupled to the primary weapon in such a way that the execution can be realized both as a primarily stabilized weapon with a mechanically coupled sighting device and as a primarily stabilized sighting device with a tracked-down weapon.

The primary weapon 2 with its weapon barrel 2.1 is supported by a pivotable weighing roller 2.2 arranged in the region of the front wall 1.1 of the housing, wherein the shield pins 2.3 are mounted in bearings 2.4 connected to the housing. These bearings 2.4 are designed as Einscholagerstellen. At one of the Einschublagerstellen a position transmitter for the elevation axis e2 of the primary weapon is arranged in a manner not shown.

The weighing roller 2.2 has on its front side a cover 2.5 covering the housing on the front wall 1.1. Immediately adjacent to the cradle outside the housing 1 in a paragraph 1.41 of the side wall 1.4 of the housing, the viewing device 3 is arranged such that its elevation axis e3 coaxial with the trunnion axis e2 of the primary weapon 2 and the sight 3 in the illustrated embodiment directly with the trunnion 2.3 of Primary weapon is coupled. On the side facing away from the viewing device 3 side of the primary weapon 1 is next to this in a paragraph 1.31 of the side wall 1.3 of the housing, ie also outside the housing 1, the secondary weapon 4 arranged such that its elevation axis e4 seen in the weft direction by a predetermined amount in front of the trunnion axis e2 of the primary weapon 2 runs.

Like that Fig. 7 to 9 to take good, the shield pin 4.2 of the secondary weapon 4 is coupled to the trunnion 2.3 of the primary weapon 2 via a Parallelogrammgestänge 5-5.1.

In the illustrated embodiment, the arrangement is such that the elevation axis e4 of the secondary weapon 4 lies in the same horizontal plane as the elevation axis e2 of the primary weapon 2 and the elevation axis e3 of the sighting device 3.

As a directional drive for the elevation movement of the primary weapon 2 is an electric drive, which is formed in the illustrated embodiment as a linear actuator 6. The ammunition supply to the primary weapon 2 takes place from the underside of the housing 1 from an ammunition container 7 attached there, from which the ammunition is fed via guide devices 2.6 to the primary weapon. The ammunition supply to the secondary weapon 4 takes place from the outside of the housing 1, to which an ammunition container 10 (FIG. Fig. 5 ) is attachable.

The guidance and operation of primary weapon 2, secondary weapon 4 and sighting device 3 take place from an operating station, not shown, which can be arranged, for example, in a combat vehicle on which the weapon station is arranged. This will be explained again below.

The necessary electrical and electronic actuation and control devices for the guidance and operation of primary weapon, secondary weapon and display device are arranged within the housing 1. In order to allow access to these facilities from the outside, is arranged in the roof panel 1.5 of the housing 1 with a hinged lid 1.51 access opening. Furthermore, a radio antenna 8 is arranged on the housing 1.

Finally, a turntable 9 is arranged on the underside of the housing 1, by means of which the weapon station can be mounted rotatably on a support structure about the vertical axis. This support structure may be, for example, the roof panel of a combat vehicle. The housing 1 is accessible from below, including from the interior of a combat vehicle out. As a directional drive for the azimuthal movement of the housing can serve an electric drive.

The Fig. 10 u. 11 show application examples for the arrangement of the weapon station Fig. 1 to 9 on the roof panel of a combat vehicle.

In Fig. 10 is the roof panel D1 of a combat vehicle K1, not shown otherwise detect. On the roof panel are arranged in a conventional manner on both sides of the longitudinal center plane entry / exit hatches L1.1 and L1.2. Behind these entry / exit hatches, the already described weapon station with the housing 1, the primary weapon 2, the sighting device 3 and the secondary weapon 4 is arranged so that the weapon barrel 2.1 of the primary weapon 2 in the position parallel to the longitudinal direction of the vehicle in the area between the both entry / exit hatches L1.1 and L1.2 is arranged so that no interference of the crew when boarding and disembarking occurs. By the above-described recessed arrangement of the secondary weapon 4 is ensured that the distance between the elevation axis e4 of the secondary weapon 4 and the elevation axis e2 of the primary weapon 2, based on the length of the barrel 4.1 of the secondary weapon 4, is dimensioned so that the barrel 4.1 Secondary weapon 4 is outside the range of the entry / exit hatches L1.1 and L 1.2.

As in Fig. 11 shown, the weapon station can also be arranged on a different vehicle type. The combat vehicle K2 designed as a wheeled vehicle has a roof panel D2, and hatches are arranged on both sides of the longitudinal central axis on the front portion of this roof panel. How out Fig. 11 to recognize, is on one of the two openings of the hatches the housing 1 'of the weapon station with primary weapon 2', sight 3 'and secondary weapon 4' mounted, while the other opening in the roof panel D2 is also designed as a hatch L2.2.

In the two embodiments according to Fig. 10 u. 11, the housing 1 or 1 'arranged in the manner already explained above a turntable 9 on the vehicle and pivotable about the vertical axis. Due to the low height of the weapon station a low total height of the vehicle is achieved in all cases, which allows an air loading.
