Definitions
- the invention relates to a heating and / or air conditioning system according to the preamble of claim 1.
- auxiliary heaters are used in commercial vehicles, which heat the passenger compartment regardless of the engine waste heat at low temperatures and longer idle times.
- DE 195 15 353 C2 shows an additional heater for a passenger compartment. This is arranged in the area of the cabin floor and connected to the passenger compartment via an air intake and an air outflow opening. If necessary, the additional heating for heating the passenger compartment is switched on.
- a disadvantage here is in particular the insufficient distribution of the warm air in the passenger compartment, so that the passenger compartment is heated very unevenly.
- the object of the invention is to provide a heating and / or air conditioning system for a passenger compartment, which is structurally simple and compact and has a uniform temperature control the passenger compartment.
- the heating and / or air conditioning system should preferably be easy to regulate and have a quick response behavior.
- the heating and / or air conditioning system should have low energy consumption and enable efficient heating.
- the separate additional heater is designed separately from the climate box. You can e.g. B. may be arranged in the area of the cabin floor of the passenger compartment, the air conditioning box may preferably be arranged in the cockpit area apart from the additional heating.
- the additional heater is connected to the climate box via a warm air duct, so that the air heated by the additional heater can flow into an air mixing space arranged in the climate box.
- the auxiliary heater Due to the separate design and arrangement of the auxiliary heater, it can be arranged at a suitable location in the vehicle without occupying space in the cockpit area or in the passenger compartment. In addition, the climate box can be made quite compact.
- the additional heater preferably has a fuel-fed burner that heats air drawn in from the passenger compartment and / or air conveyed from the outside by means of a fan.
- the burner thus acts directly on the air to be heated and thereby enables a quickly responsive regulation and / or control of the desired temperature profile in the passenger compartment.
- the heating energy used is also well utilized by the direct heating of the air conveyed into the passenger compartment.
- Air from the additional heating and / or air from one of the coolant of the drive unit, in particular the internal combustion engine, can be introduced into the air mixing chamber of the climate box.
- the air mixing space can mix and / or divide the inflowing air and guide it downstream to a plurality of outflow openings.
- the air conditioning box and / or the additional heater can also have one or more fans for air delivery.
- the additional heater can be designed, in particular, for heating the passenger compartment alone and / or for auxiliary heating when the drive unit is still cold during the warm-up phase.
- air outlets lead from the outflow openings to air outlets which are distributed in the passenger compartment.
- air outlets can be arranged in the footwell in order to heat it and / or air outlets in the area of the panes in order to defrost and / or keep them free of fogging and / or air outlets in the cockpit area for direct ventilation of the passengers.
- the air mixing space can have manually or automatically controllable adjusting means, in particular air flaps or sliders, in order to be able to direct the air specifically to individual outflow openings and into the ventilation channels connected to them.
- manually or automatically controllable adjusting means in particular air flaps or sliders, in order to be able to direct the air specifically to individual outflow openings and into the ventilation channels connected to them.
- the ventilation channels have adjustable outflow nozzles at their mouth in the passenger compartment. By adjusting the outflow nozzles, the direction and / or strength and / or distribution of the air flow can be set as desired.
- a use of the heating and / or air conditioning system according to the invention is provided in particular in the driver's cab of commercial vehicles. However, it is also possible to use the heating and / or air conditioning in other vehicle types such as. B. use motorhomes, cars or vans.
- Figure 1 The heating and / or air conditioning in a cab of a commercial vehicle
- Figure 2 A schematic representation of the climate box of the heating and / or air conditioning
- FIG. 1 shows a heating and / or air conditioning system 1, which is arranged in a driver's cab 11 of a commercial vehicle for heating a passenger compartment 12.
- the passenger compartment 12 has a cockpit with controls such as. B. steering wheel or gear lever.
- an air conditioning box 2 is concealed, which is connected to the drive motor of the commercial vehicle and is designed for heating and / or cooling the passenger compartment 12. Since the air-conditioning box 2 can only heat or cool the passenger compartment 12 when the drive motor is in operation, the heating and / or air-conditioning system 1 also has an additional heater 4, which is used for longer breaks the heating of the passenger compartment 12 takes over.
- the additional heater 4 is arranged in the area of the cabin floor 14 and has a burner 45 for heating air and a blower 46 for conveying air.
- the burner is operated with fuel and is connected to the fuel tank of the commercial vehicle via a supply line.
- the burner's exhaust gases are discharged to the outside via an exhaust pipe.
- the fan 46 conveys air through the additional heater 4, where it is heated by the burner 45.
- the air is sucked in via a suction opening 41 arranged in the passenger compartment 12 and an air duct 42a and then heated by the burner 45.
- the warm air is then forwarded via a warm air line 42b to the climate box 2 arranged in the area of the cockpit.
- the air conditioning box 2 the structure of which is shown in FIG. 2, comprises an air filter 21 for sucked-in outside air, a blower 23 for conveying air, and an evaporator 22 and a heat exchanger 26 for conditioning air.
- the evaporator 22 draws its energy from the drive motor and is designed to cool the air.
- the heat exchanger 26 is connected to the cooling system of the drive motor and uses its waste heat to heat the air.
- the air conveyed by the blower 23 of the air conditioning box 2 flows through the evaporator 22 into a first air mixing space 24 and further through the heat exchanger 26 into a second air mixing space 25.
- the second air mixing chamber 25 has a plurality of outflow openings 29, 30, 31, each of which is separately connected to air channels 33 leading into the passenger compartment 12.
- An outflow opening 29 is designed as a defrost opening and is connected to one or more air channels 33, which lead to one or more panes of the passenger compartment. In the area of these disks, the air channels open into outflow nozzles 34, which are adjustable for targeted ventilation of the disks.
- Another outflow opening of the air mixing chamber 25 is designed as a footwell opening 30.
- This outflow opening 30 is connected to one or more air channels 33 which open into one or more outflow nozzles 34 arranged in the footwell of the passenger compartment 12.
- a third outflow opening of the air mixing space 25 is designed as a direct ventilation opening 31.
- This outflow opening 31 is connected to one or more air channels 33 which open into one or more outflow nozzles 34 arranged in the cockpit area of the passenger compartment 12.
- These outflow nozzles 34 are designed to be adjustable, so that the direction and strength of the emerging air jet can be set.
- actuating means are also arranged which enable effective temperature control and / or air mixing.
- a bypass flap 27 is thus provided which, bypassing the heat exchanger 26, connects the air mixing spaces 24 and 25 directly and thus enables the passenger compartment 12 to be cooled effectively.
- the hot air duct 42b coming from the auxiliary heater 4 opens into the air conditioning box 2 and into the air mixing spaces 24 and 25.
- the first air mixing space 24 has an inflow opening 32 which can be closed by an air flap 28 and is connected to the warm air duct 42b.
- the second air mixing space 25 has an inflow opening 32 which can be closed with an air flap 28 and with the warm air duct 42b connected is.
- the air heated by the additional heater 4 can be directed via the warm air duct 42b into the first air mixing space 24 and / or optionally into the second air mixing space in order to enable the passenger compartment 12 to be heated as effectively as possible.
- the air mixing chamber 25 mixes the inflowing air of the additional heater 4 with the air conveyed by the blower 23 of the climate box and distributes it to the outflow openings 29, 30, 31.
- the warm air of the additional heater 4 is thus via the existing outflow openings 29, 30, 31 and air channels 33 and the outflow nozzles 34 are directed into the passenger compartment 12.
- the distribution of the warm air of the additional heater 4 can thus be set via those outflow nozzles and air flaps 27, 28 which already set the warm air heated by the heat exchanger 26. This means that there is no difference for a user in the setting and / or heating behavior of the auxiliary heater 4 and the heater when driving.
- the operation of the heating and / or air conditioning system 1 is simplified for the user and the ease of use increases.
- a common control device 5 which controls and / or regulates components of the air conditioning box 2 and components of the additional heating 4.
- a pure auxiliary heating mode in which only the auxiliary heater 4 supplies heating energy
- a pure driving mode in which only the climate box 2 supplies conditioned air
- mixed operation is also possible.
- the auxiliary heater 4 can support the heat exchanger 26 to supply heating energy.
- a variable portion of fresh air can also be added to the circulating air conveyed by the auxiliary heater 4 via a control of the fan 23 arranged in the air conditioning box 2.
