Definitions

  • the invention relates to a paper machine clothing with a carrier of at least two carrier layers, each consisting of longitudinal and transverse threads, but basically not connected to each other over their surface by means of threads, projecting at the front ends of the paper machine clothing of longitudinal threads existing suture loops that a connection serve the ends to the seam by means of an inserted through the seam loops peg.
  • a class of papermachine clothing for use in a paper machine is known in the art in which there is a carrier fabric consisting of two woven carrier layers, but the carrier layers are not connected to one another over their surface by threads. At the front ends of the paper machine clothing, the carrier layers are connected via their longitudinal threads to form seam loops. About this seam loops, the ends can be coupled by the seam loops of both ends brought into overlap and pushed through the seam loops in the overlap region, a so-called pintle.
  • Such paper machine clothing For example, WO 00/09802 and JP 112 00 275 can be seen.
  • a method suitable for producing such papermachine clothing is described in US 5,015,220.
  • a single-ply carrier fabric is woven round, with a circumference twice the intended length of the papermachine fabric, and then provided with a needled non-woven fabric. Then, the tubular structure thus obtained is compressed, so that two superimposed layers arise. Fraying at the front ends exposes seam loops from the longitudinal threads present there, which seams can be overlapped to connect the ends.
  • such paper machine clothing offers high strength, in particular also in the seam area, since the seam loops are formed by longitudinal threads extending endlessly over the carrier layers.
  • this support structure is distinguished from double-layered supports by low compressibility with the result that the drainage properties remain largely constant over the life of the paper machine clothing.
  • a disadvantage is the unsatisfactory stability in the seam area.
  • the nonwoven anchoring in this area is not optimal.
  • the invention has for its object to make a paper machine clothing of the type mentioned so that the seam stability increases and improved anchoring of the nonwoven fabric can be achieved.
  • binding transverse threads may be present, which do not increase the thread density of the transverse threads, that are anyway present in the carrier layers as transverse threads, but in contrast to the other transverse threads are guided so that they also integrate into adjacent carrier layers.
  • binding transverse threads can also be provided, which are woven in addition to the transverse threads running in the carrier layers and thus increase the thread density in the regions adjacent to the seam loops.
  • Such a paper machine clothing is characterized by high stability in the seam area. This is due to the fact that the seam loops are closed by the binding threads on the carrier side and a displacement of the carrier layers is blocked. Apart from that, the anchoring of the nonwoven fabric in this area is significantly improved. Both are achieved without otherwise adversely affecting the structure of the carrier, ie the advantages of this support structure remain fully intact.
  • binding transverse threads may be present, which alternately incorporate a longitudinal thread in the one carrier layer and a longitudinal thread offset by a longitudinal thread in the adjacent carrier layer. This results in a very firm connection of the carrier layers.
  • transverse binding threads which go in the carrier layers over a plurality of longitudinal threads - be it long-lasting or the longitudinal threads binding - before they change from one carrier layer to an adjacent carrier layer. It is also possible to combine binding cross-threads which integrate differently. It is expedient that two adjacent Bindequerfäden have a mirror image course.
  • At least one transverse binding thread should be present at each end of the paper machine clothing, preferably two to four binding cross threads. However, it can also be up to ten binding cross-threads, if particularly high demands are placed on the strength of the seam.
  • Suitable materials for the binding cross threads are primarily thermoplastic polymers, for example polypropylene, polyamide 4.6, polyamide 6, polyamide 6.6, polyamide 6.10, polyamide 6.12, polyamide 11, polyamide 12, PET, PTT, PBT, PPS, PEK, PEEK or polyester.
  • a material can be used which differs from the material of the remaining transverse threads. It is understood that the binding cross-threads can be formed as monofilaments or multifilaments.
  • the number of seam loops is determined according to the respective requirements. It is quite possible that all longitudinal threads form seam loops.
  • An expedient variant, however, is that at least one seam loop forming a seam loop alternates with at least one longitudinal thread, which forms no seam loop, and that the seam loops of the ends of the papermachine fabric are transversely offset from one another, so that the seam loops can easily mesh with each other like a comb.
  • the Najipreßfilz 1 shown schematically in Figure 1 is intended for use in the press section of a paper machine.
  • the carrier layers 2 embedding fiber layers are omitted.
  • the carrier 2 is shown only partially here. He continues to the left in the form of a horizontal U - indicated here by dashed lines - on, so that the carrier 2 is a total lying U.
  • the extension of the U is adapted to the respective installation conditions in the paper machine.
  • the carrier 2 consists of an inside carrier layer 3 and an outside carrier layer 4. Both carrier layers 3, 4 are formed as tissue, which are produced in a continuous weaving process by circular weaving.
  • the fabrics have transverse threads - designated by way of example 5 or 6 - which formed the warp threads during the weaving process, as well as longitudinal threads 7, 8 as weft threads.
  • the longitudinal threads 7, 8 are due to their property as weft threads parts of a single continuous thread.
  • transverse threads 5, 6 bind with the longitudinal threads 7, 8 so that the two carrier layers 3, 4 have no connection over threads with each other over threads, ie the transverse threads 5 do not bind in the carrier layer 4 and the transverse threads 6 not in the carrier layer 3 and the longitudinal threads 7, 8 remain over the entire length of the carrier 2 in the respective carrier layer 3 and 4 respectively.
  • each second longitudinal thread 7, 8 forms seam loops 11, 12, which protrude beyond the ends 9, 10. Perpendicular to the plane of the drawing, this results in a multiplicity of seam loops 11, 12 (compare, to this extent, the reference numerals 17 and 19 in FIG. 2 of WO 00/09802 and the reference numerals 20 and 22 in FIGS. 2 to 5 of US Pat. No. 5,015,220).
  • the longitudinal threads 7, 8, each extending between two seam loops 11, 12 forming longitudinal threads 7, 8, are returned without forming seam loops on a short path.
  • the one row of seam loops 11 has been brought into comb-like overlap with the other row of seam loops 12, as shown, so that a through-channel 13 is formed perpendicular to the plane of the drawing.
  • a through-channel 13 is formed perpendicular to the plane of the drawing.
  • the respective first two transverse threads at the ends 9, 10 adjacent to the seam loops 11, 12 are formed as binding transverse threads 15, 16, 17, 18.
  • the binding transverse threads 15, 16, 17, 18 are shown reinforced in order to make their course relative to the course of the remaining transverse threads 5, 6 clear.
  • the binding transverse threads 15, 16, 17, 18 extend so that they integrate alternately into both carrier layers 3, 4 , In each case by a longitudinal thread in the one carrier layer 3 and - by two longitudinal threads 7, 8 offset - by a longitudinal thread 8 in the other carrier layer 4.
  • FIG. 3 shows a variant of the carrier 2 according to FIGS. 1 and 2, wherein only half of the cross section shown in FIG. 2 is shown.
  • transverse binding threads 19, 20 are present, which also run mirror-inverted, but in contrast to the version according to FIG. 2, change at significantly greater distances between the carrier layers 3, 4. In between, they extend over the longitudinal threads 7, 8 and bind them in the manner of a plain weave. It is understood that in this way the connection of the two carrier layers 4, 5 is less narrow than in the version according to FIG.
