Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de séparation du xylose à partir de lignocelluloses riches en xylanes, en particulier à partir du bois, en vue d'obtenir de la cellulose, caractérisé en ce qu'il comprend les étapes suivantes : (1) prétraitement de copeaux hachés par fragmentation mécanique de la structure d'origine, (2) imprégnation, par un acide minéral dilué, du matériau de bois obtenu, (3) pré-hydrolyse du matériau modifié obtenu sous l'action de la vapeur d'eau, à température élevée, en vue d'hydrolyser les hémicelluloses contenues dans ce matériau, et (4) élimination des hémicelluloses de la cellulose restante par lavage, filtration et/ou centrifugation, avec obtention d'une solution aqueuse riche en xylose. Par combinaison des étapes précitées selon l'invention, on obtient des teneurs élevées en cellulose α, pour de très faibles fractions de xylose, c'est-à-dire des qualités de cellulose chimique de haute pureté, tout en ayant en même temps une séparation quasi quantitative du xylose de qualité.
