Definitions
- the invention relates to a power operated tacker, in particular for use in a stand-up tool, with a fastener guide and a holding device in which a fastener for driving by means of a driving tool can be automatically picked up and released, and a feed path, the fastener guide over a Downpipe connects to the holding device and in which an intermediate fixing is arranged, in which the fastening means before being fed to the holding device in the direction of the holding device can be fixed.
- the supply of fasteners from a fastener guide In known stand-up tools, the supply of fasteners from a fastener guide.
- the arranged in the fastener guide fasteners are first isolated and fed to a downpipe.
- About the downpipe fasteners then slide into the holding device, which may be formed for example by a pair of pliers.
- the holding device In the holding device, the fasteners are first held in the direction of the tacker.
- the holding device is opened automatically.
- US 5,897,045 shows a stand-up tool with a fastener guide, which is arranged on a separating device. After separation, the fastening means are fed to a downpipe. An intermediate fixing is provided on the downpipe, which is formed from a magnetized wall region of the downpipe. At this wall portion, the supplied fasteners are held until they are moved away from the magnetized wall area by an ejector, which is actuated when pressing the stand-up tool against a workpiece. Then the fasteners slip through the remaining drop tube to the actual holding device, of which they are held until the assembly.
- Such intermediate fixing has the disadvantage that, especially in fasteners with a pronounced head, such as screws or bolts, especially if they have an integrated washer, the axis of the fastener is held in the intermediate fixing obliquely to the orientation of the downpipe. This often results in that the fastener is twisted when released from the intermediate fixing by the ejector. This can have the result that the fastening means jammed or reaches the holding device with the wrong end ahead.
- vibrations or vibrations occur.
- the magnetic effect of the wall portion due to dust or other contamination occurring during operation is not sufficient to hold the fastener to the wall portion. Both can lead to premature slipping of the fastener into the downpipe and thus to a malfunction.
- the present invention has for its object to avoid the aforementioned disadvantages in a stand-up tool with intermediate fixing of the fastening means and to ensure trouble-free operation.
- the object is achieved by a power driven tacker with the features of claim 1.
- the fixing of the fastening means in the intermediate fixing is no longer solely in the direction of the holding device. Rather, it is additionally ensured that the fastening element can no longer move back into the feed path coming from the fastener guide. In particular, it is prevented that the fastening means in the moment in which it is to be ejected from the intermediate determination, partly in the coming of the mounting magazine supply path tilts. By the side stop the fastener is rather supported laterally and thus ensures an ejection movement takes place substantially in the axial direction.
- the side stop is formed by a separating device.
- the side stop can be formed by existing components, whereby the manufacturing cost can be reduced.
- the side stop is formed on a slider.
- a slide ensures a safe adjustment of the side stop and allows in a simple manner the separation of the fastening means.
- the slide is mounted linearly movable.
- Such a linear bearing can be performed relatively stable in a simple manner, whereby at low cost high reliability is guaranteed.
- the slide can be actuated by a relative to the intermediate fixing movable part of the tacker.
- the side stop can be moved in a simple manner automatically into and out of the feed path.
- the side fence is biased to a closed position blocking the fastener feed path. This increases the stability of the side stop.
- the slide runs sharply in a closing direction. In this way it is avoided that when installing the side stop in the feed path into a fastening means is clamped. This ensures trouble-free operation.
- the intermediate fixing in the feed path in the direction of the holding device on an axial stop, which can be laid out of the feed path out.
- a secure fixing of the fastening element is ensured in the intermediate fixing, whereby premature supply to the holding device and a resulting malfunction can be avoided.
- the axial stop has at least two stop elements, which can be moved out of the feed path against a spring force. This creates a simple and reliable way to open the axial stop.
- a stand-up tool 2 is shown with a tacker 4, a fastener guide 6 and a handle assembly 8.
- the tacker 4 has a driving tool 10 which is axially movably guided in a guide tube 12 along a drive-in axis 14.
- a holding device 16 is arranged at a handle assembly 8 facing away.
- the fastener guide 6 is removably attached to the tacker 4 and is connected in the attached state via a feed path 7 with the holding device 16, are transported via the fastening means 18 to the holding device 16.
- the feed path 7 leads from the fastener guide 6 by an intermediate fixing 20, via a drop tube 22 and a tool-side portion of the guide tube 12 to the holding device 16.
- the intermediate fixing 20 has a housing 24 which at a tool-side, lower end 23 to the downpipe 22 and a handle-side upper end 25 connected to a tubular ejection guide 26 open.
- In the ejection guide 26 is a substantially piston-shaped ejector 28 relative to the intermediate fixing 20 and slidably mounted in the axial direction of the drop tube 22.
- the intermediate fixing 20 is in the Fig. 3 to 7 shown in detail.
- the housing 24 has a lateral access opening 30 in the direction of the attached fastener guide 6.
- a slide 32 is arranged. This is about guide pins 34 and / or guide lugs 36 which are formed on the housing, in a direction of movement 38 back and forth movable. This makes it possible to at least partially close the access opening 30 (see 6 and 7 ) or to open (see 4 and 5 ).
- On the slide 32 engages a symbolically shown spring force SF, which presses the slider along the direction of movement 38 in a position in which the access opening 30 is opened.
- a slide opening 40 is formed on the slide 32, which has an overlap with the access opening 30 in this open position.
- an actuating portion 42 is formed, which protrudes partially opposite to the remaining slider 32 and forms an oblique contact portion 44.
- This actuating portion 42 cooperates with an actuating molding 46, which is arranged on a lower extension piece 48 of a support tube 50 of the handle assembly 8, as in particular from Fig. 2 can be seen, and forms an inclined surface 52 at one end.
- a jaw assembly 54 is further arranged, which has two pivotable about a pin 56 baking trays 58, which in the 8 to 11 are shown in more detail.
- the pin 56 is arranged parallel to the adjoining the intermediate fixing 20 alignment of the drop tube 22.
- Both jaw cups 58 form between them a receiving space 60.
- the jaw shells 58 each form in the axial direction of the pin 56 at both ends of an inwardly projecting stop member 62 in the form of a projection, which thus restricts the receiving space 60 at the upper and lower end of the jaw assembly 54.
- the jaw assembly 54 in the receiving space 60 thus receive the head 64 of a fastener 18 and the fastener 18 set down in this way in the direction of gravity.
- the jaw shells 58 With an additional pressure by the ejector 28 ( Fig. 3 ) on the head 64, however, the jaw shells 58 are pivoted apart until the lower stop members 62 are spaced apart so far that the head 64 can slip through (see 10 and 11 ).
- the jaw cups are as symbolically biased by a spring force BF in the closed position in which the fastening means 18 is held in the direction of gravity.
- a fastening means guide 6 filled with fastening means 18 is arranged on the tacker device 4.
- the actuating molding 46 is as in the Fig. 2 and 4 represented at the level of the actuating portion 42 and presses the slider 32 against the spring force SF in a position in which the slide opening 40 with the access opening 30 of the intermediate fixing 20 is in coverage.
- a lower in the direction of gravity fastener 18 from the fastener guide 6 slip through the access opening 30 in the intermediate fixing 20.
- the head 64 of the fastening means slips into the receiving space 60 of the jaw assembly 54 and abuts against the lower projections in the direction of gravity 62, since the jaw shells 58 are brought into their closed position by the spring force BF. In this way, the fastener 18 is held in the direction of gravity to the lower end of the intermediate fixing 20, to which the drop tube 22 is connected, in the intermediate fixing 20.
- the support tube 50 of the handle assembly 8 is moved together with the extension piece 48 and the actuating member 46 against the intermediate fixing 20 down.
- the slider 32 begins due to the spring force acting on it SF to move in the direction of movement 38 in the direction of the operating range until the slider 32 with a in Moving direction 38 tapered stop portion 66 between the held in the intermediate fixing 20 fastener 18 and a thereto adjacent fastener 18 moves in the fastener guide 6 and the access opening 30 of the intermediate fixing at least partially closes.
- the ejector 28 is moved in the ejection guide 26 in the direction of intermediate fixing 20 together with the handle assembly 8. It penetrates the Ejector 28 at the end of this movement at the open, upper end 25 of the housing 24 in the intermediate fixing 20 and presses on the head 64 of the fastener 18 held therein the stop area 66, which closes the access opening 30 prevents the fastener 18 in the Access opening 30 tilts. Rather, the attachment means 18 is supported radially on all sides upon impact of the ejector 28 by acting as a side stop slider 32 and the jaw assembly 54.
- the fastening means 18 is fed to a lower part of the guide tube 12, via which it then passes to the holding device 16. In this, the fastening means 18 is then held in the direction of the driving axle 14 until the fastening means 18 is fastened to a workpiece by the driving tool 10 during a subsequent assembly operation.
- the actuating member 46 moves together with the support tube 50 with respect to the intermediate fixing again toward the handle-side upper end of the tacker 4.
- the inclined surface 52 of the actuating member 46 comes into contact with the oblique Contact area 44 of the actuating portion 42 of the slider 32 (see Figure 6 ) and presses the slider 32 against the spring force SF back into its open position in which the access opening 30 is in register with the slide opening 40.
- the feed path 7 for the fastening means 18 of the fastener guide 6 for intermediate fixing 20 is open again, so that the now lowest in the direction of gravity fastener 18 from the fastener guide 6 in the meantime re-closed jaw assembly 54 of the intermediate fixing 20 can slip.
