Zusätzlich ist der zweite Schlitten 36 mit Hilfe einer Stellschraube 38 in der durch den Doppelpfeil A angegebenen Richtung verschiebbar. Nach Montage der in der Zeichnung dargestellten Vorrichtung an dem Maschinengestell einer Karde oder Krempelmaschine wird zunächst mit Hilfe der Stellschraube 38 die gewünschte Ausrichtung der Führungsschiene und damit auch der Bearbeitungsanordnung 20 bezüglich der zu bearbeitenden Garnitur eingestellt. Start- und Endpunkte des Bearbeitungsbereiches können mit Hilfe von an der Führungsschiene 10 befestigten Schaltelementen 72 und 74 bestimmt werden. Dabei sind die Schaltelemente 72 und 74 längs der Führungsschiene 10 verschieb- und arretierbar. Die Elemente 72 und 74 wirken mit einem an der Bearbeitungsanordnung 20 festgelegten Umschaltkontakthebel 76 derart zusammen, daß bei Erreichen der Schaltelemente 72 und 74 eine Änderung der Bewegung der Bearbeitungsanordnung 20 längs der vorgegebenen Bahn, eine Zustellbewegung und/oder eine Bewegung in einer der Zustellrichtung entgegengesetzten Richtung ausgelöst wird. Die in der Zeichnung dargestellte Fernsteuereinrichtung umfaßt einen Hauptschalter 72, einen Schalter 74 zum Einstellen der Vorschubgeschwindigkeit der Bearbeitungsanordnung 20 längs der vorgegebenen Bahn, einen Schalter 76 zum Ankuppeln und/oder Abkuppeln der Bearbeitungsanordnung 20 von der Antriebseinrichtung 50, einen Schalter 78 zum Beenden der Vorschubbewegung, einen Schalter 80 zum Zustellen der Bearbeitungsanordnung 20 in Richtung auf die Garnitur, einen Schalter 82 zum Abziehen der Bearbeitungsanordnung von der Garnitur und einen Schalter 84 zum Auslösen einer Bewegung der Bearbeitungsanordnung 20 längs der vorgegebenen Bahn. Ist der Bearbeitungsbereich vollständig durchfahren wird wiederum die Starttaste 84 gedrückt. Dann wird die Bearbeitungsanordnung 20 durch erneute Betätigung der pneumatischen Hubzylinder von der Garnitur abgezogen. Mit Hilfe der Elektromagnet-Kupplung 16 wird die Bearbeitungsanordnung 20 erneut an die Antriebseinrichtung 50 gekuppelt.
