Definitions
- the invention relates to a snowboard boot with a soft inner boot and an outer shell with a soft shaft.
- the snowboarding comes from surfing, which is why a similar to the wave riding mobility is sought.
- a snowboard boot which is also referred to as a soft boot, gives the driver, this high mobility, especially to the side. That is, it is required that the driver can bend the legs sideways far enough, if necessary, that he touches the snowboard with his knee.
- an orthopedic shoe can be cured with the ligament injuries.
- EP 0793920 A discloses a U-shaped insert according to the preamble of claim 1.
- an ankle splint which runs under the heel from the outside of the foot to the inside and is fixed to the foot with straps on the skin.
- the well-known ankle splint However, it can not be worn in a strapped shoe as it would cause painful pressure points.
- the object of the invention is to provide a snowboard boot that does not hinder the mobility of the driver, but protects him from injury at an extreme angular position of the legs.
- a U-shaped insert consisting of a central portion located below the heel bone and two band-shaped lateral portions extending upwardly from the central portion to above the ankle on both sides of the foot ,
- the insert is thus flexible and soft, especially in the area of the side sections. It consists for this purpose preferably of a flexible plastic, for example polyethylene, having a low Shore B hardness of not more than 90, in particular 30 to 70, very preferably about 50.
- the side sections preferably have a thickness of only a maximum of 3 mm, in particular 1 to 2 mm.
- the width of the side sections above the ankle is preferably at most 8 cm, in particular 3 to 6 cm.
- the insole has a high support function as it laces or Closing the outer shell is pressed firmly against the inner boot. Due to their softness and flexibility as well as their arrangement on the outside of the inner boot, no pressure points occur with the insert.
- the central portion of the insert is preferably formed as extending over the entire heel plate. This is once in addition to pressure points avoidance, also this increases the support function of the insert when bending the legs forward and backward. For the same reason, the band-shaped side portions widen from the ankle downwards from the central portion.
- the side sections are arranged as close as possible to the bands to be protected on both sides of the foot. That is, they follow the course of these bands. For this reason, but also to cause no pressure points, the band-shaped side portions are provided on both sides of the foot in the region of the ankle, preferably with a recess, so led around the ankle. Since the inner ankle is located further forward than the outer ankle, the band-shaped side portion is provided on the outside of the foot with a recess open to the rear for the outer malleolus and the band-shaped side portion on the inner side of the foot with a recess open to the front for the inner ankle.
- the side sections are formed as long as possible, d. H. they can extend into the region of the upper shaft end of the outer shell.
- the insert is positioned on the bands to be protected, it is preferably on the Fixed inside boot.
- a releasable fixation is preferable in order to be able to remove the insert if necessary, if it is not desired or needed.
- the fixation of the insert on the inner boot can be done in different ways.
- at least one loop may be provided on the inner boot on both sides of the foot, are guided by the band-shaped side portions of the insert. These loops can be formed for example by Velcro.
- the upper end of the band-shaped side portions may be inserted into pockets which are attached to the inner boot on both sides of the foot. With these pockets, with their downwardly directed opening and a top floor, the bottom also forms a stop for the top of the side sections. That is, the support function of the insert increases dramatically as the upper ends of the side sections are pressed against the bottom of the bag.
- band-shaped side sections can not then bend outward or inward, preferably several, for example two loops are provided on each foot side of the inner boot.
- the band-shaped side sections of the existing example of plastic insert can be tailored individually. This allows the snowboard driver to determine from which angular position of the legs the support function of the insert should be fully effective. For this, the side sections at their upper end need only be shortened accordingly. Also, the side portions on the inside of the foot and the outside of the foot can be individually different in length.
- the loops through which the band-shaped side sections are guided and the pockets into which the ends of the band-shaped side sections are inserted from below are preferably provided on straps which extend forwardly from the rear side of the inner boot and at the front ends of which sleeves, Hooks, loops or the like means are provided, through which the lace of the inner boot is pulled.
- the insert is preferably made of two plastic parts, each consisting of a side portion and a part of the central portion. The two parts are then connected together according to the desired width of the central portion, z. B. sewn together.
- the snowboard boot 1 consists of an inner boot 2 made of a soft material and made of Outer boot 3, which has a shaft which extends approximately to the height of the shaft 4 of the inner boot 2.
- the outer boot 3 has a profile sole 5. It is also reinforced on the toe cap and in the heel area in order to be able to fix the binding.
- the shaft and, if possible, all other areas of the outer shell 3 are likewise made of a soft material.
- the outer boot 3 is pressed firmly against the inner boot 2 with a lacing (not shown), straps or the like.
- the insert 6 has a middle section 7 arranged below the heel, from which a band-shaped side section 8, 9 extends up to the level of the upper end of the outer shell 3, not shown, on the outside and inside of the foot.
- the band-shaped side portion 8 at the foot outside a rearwardly open recess 11 for the outer ankle and the band-shaped side portion 9 on the inside of the foot on a forwardly open recess 12 for the inner malleolus.
- the middle section 7 is formed as extending over the entire area of the heel bone plate. Furthermore, the band-shaped side sections 8, 9 widen from the ankle, that is to say the recesses 11, 12 downwards to the middle section 7.
- the insert 6 consists of a flexible plastic. It has a thickness of for example 2 mm.
- the width of the side portions 8, 9 of the insert above the recesses 11 and 12 may be for example 4 cm.
- the insert 6 is fixed to the outside of the inner boot 2.
- forwardly extending bands 13, 14, 15 are provided at the front end of a loop 16 is provided, through which the lace 17 of the inner boot 2 is pulled ( Figures 1 and 3).
- the z. B. made of a textile material bands 13, 14 have loops 18, as shown for the band 14 in Figure 3.
- the upper band 15 is provided with a pocket 19, the opening of which is directed downwards.
- the pockets 19 on both sides of the foot on the inner boot 2 the upper ends of the two band-shaped side sections 8, 9 are inserted.

Description
Darin zeigen:
- Figur 1 die Seitenansicht eines Snowboard-Stiefels für den linken Fuß mit zum Teil weggebrochener Außenschale;
