Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device for stacking flat, flexible objects standing on a narrow side into a stacking compartment, in which they are stacked standing on a narrow side.
  • the individually supplied, flat objects are fed obliquely to a sliding contact wall, on which they rest with their long sides, guided on their long sides facing away from the contact wall, into the stacking compartment, where they are stacked with their leading edges using a stacking roller.
  • the flat objects to be stacked can have relatively large differences in length, height and elasticity. They are transported one behind the other with the smallest possible distances, preferably clamped between elastic straps (shroud system). So that the leading edges of the objects do not hit the trailing edges of the leading objects and thereby cause jamming during stacking, it is necessary to move the trailing edges of the leading objects out of the way of the leading edge of the following objects, so-called "clearing the bullet triangle".
  • the deflecting element is designed as a countercurrent switch element, ie the tip points in the undeflected state against the direction of transport of the objects. If the deflection element is not retracted before it is reached from the front edge of an object, a frontal collision with the object occurs, which can lead to its destruction.
  • the force application point is at a fixed point.
  • the invention is therefore based on the object of creating a generic device for stacking flat, flexible, standing objects on a narrow side into a stacking compartment, which allows largely trouble-free stacking without colliding the rear and front edges of successive objects, even for objects with one guaranteed a large range of lengths.
  • deflecting elements By using several deflecting elements arranged one behind the other on the way in each stacking compartment for deflecting the in the direction of movement of the rear parts, determining the distances between objects, their lengths and their position at certain points in time, and evaluating these values, selecting and controlling the deflection elements in such a way that the rear parts of both short and long objects the objects can then be deflected as soon as their front parts have reached the area of the stacking roller, a collision of the rear edges with the front edges of the following objects is avoided even with objects of different lengths.
  • the deflection elements are a switch wing, the wing ends of which, in the undeflected state, point in the transport direction of the objects (co-current switch). This prevents a frontal collision of the objects with the switch wing, as is possible with a wing of a counterflow switch.
  • an elastic and / or elastically fastened transport roller is arranged in the transport path leading into the stacking compartment, which presses the objects against the guide and moves them in the transport direction at the transport speed.
  • the distance between the transport roller and the stop wall is shorter than the longest objects, so that these long objects, when they are braked on the stop wall and are transported by the transport roller, are bent in the direction of the feed wall / stack in the middle.
  • the time and duration of the deflections of the deflecting elements are determined in such a way that the deflecting elements have reached their zero position again when the respectively following objects reach the area of the deflecting elements.

  • Several such stacking compartments are located in a sorting machine.
  • the items 1, 2 are transported in a main transport line, clamped between belts of a shroud system, one behind the other along the stacking compartments. • the discharged items 1, 2 are deflected in the direction of the stacking compartment by means of transport belts 15 of the main transport strand which are guided obliquely downwards to a transport roller 7 and via deflection rollers 14 and a stacking roller 12 at the stacking compartment entrance. Since the transport rollers 15 are fed back on the transport roller 7, the mail items 1, 2 to the stacking roller are guided to the stacking roller 12 only by the transport belts 13 on one side.
  • the programs 1, 2 are braked on a stop wall 8. To limit the stack in the area of the stacking roller 12, an additional boundary wall is attached to the stop wall 8 parallel to a contact wall 9.
  • the mail items 1, 2 lay down with their long sides on the system wall 9 or on the mail items 1 2 already stacked.
  • This parallel guided contact wall 9 is printed with spring force in the direction of the stacking roll 12.
  • the stacking roller 12 with a high coefficient of friction ensures that the mail items 1, 2 are reliably demanded against the frictional resistance of the contact wall 9 or the mail items 1 2 already stacked.
  • the consignments 1, 2 meet with their front edges obliquely on the long sides of the stacked consignments that have already been stacked and aligned along the abutment wall 9.
  • this is ensured since the short overhang after the stacking roller 12, due to the elasticity / inherent rigidity of the items, so quickly into the position parallel to the system wall 9 comes that a collision of the front edges of the subsequent mail items 1 with the rear edges of the already stacked short mail items 2A is avoided (FIG. 1).
  • the time of alignment based on the inherent rigidity is no longer sufficient to clear the so-called bullet triangle, so that the leading and trailing edges collide. Therefore, on the way to the stacking compartment, several switch wings 3, 4 are arranged one behind the other as deflection elements.
  • the pivot points are placed close behind the guide belt 13 and the ends of the switch wing 3, 4 point in the rest position in the direction of the stacking roller 12.
  • the corresponding switch wings 3, 4 as deflection elements are briefly deflected into the transport path and thereby print the rear parts of the mail items Towards the stack 5.
  • the switch wing 3, 4 is deflected, which in the period between reaching the area of the stacking roller 12 by the mail 1 and hitting the front edge on the stop wall 8, the rear part of the respective mail 2 in the area between the rear edge and touches and deflects a specified maximum distance from the rear edge. If the distance between the point of contact and the rear edge is too large, particularly flexible items can be bent around the point of contact without the trailing edges being significantly deflected. So there would still be a risk of the front and rear edges colliding.
  • the clearing of the bullet triangle is additionally supported by a rotating transport roller 7, designed as a foam roller.
  • the axis of the foam roller is located at the point at which the mail items are released from the cover tapes and is thus positioned, that a “longest” mail item 2D is barely grasped between the cover bands with its rear part when it reaches the stop wall 8 with its front edge.
  • the shipment 2D continues to experience a force in the direction of transport even after it has reached the stop wall. Because the shipment 2D cannot move any further in the direction of the stop wall 8, it is deformed, ie it bulges and is therefore under tension. This presses the rear edge against the rotating foam roller. Due to the high coefficient of friction of the foam roll, the rear edge of the item sticks to it and becomes flung by their rotating movement in the direction of the stack of mail items 5, thus clearing the entry triangle (FIG. 4).
