Definitions
- the present invention relates to a fireplace, preferably a two-shell steel fireplace with a flue gas-carrying inner tube and an outer jacket, with between Insulation with molded elements is provided for the inner tube and outer casing is as well as corresponding insulation elements.
- the aim of the present invention is a fireplace or the like To provide insulation material, which ensures that excessive heating surrounding parts is avoided in an emergency, since this also represents a fire hazard. Furthermore, the improvement of the insulation effect should go hand in hand with less space and lower insulation requirements.
- the present invention is based on the knowledge that for normal operation one A much thinner insulation would be sufficient. Only for the emergency situation Appropriate provisions would have to be made in the event of a burnout.
- This can according to the invention can be achieved in a simple manner that within the insulation a so-called heat dissipation layer is provided, which the fireplace in essential parts completely surrounds and a heat transfer in the axial direction and from bottom to top within the fireplace.
- a heat transfer causes the two positive effects that, on the one hand, in the event of a burnout of the chimney the strong temperature load occurring in the lower part of the chimney in addition to the radial or horizontal insulation provided for the Heat in the vertical direction, i.e. upwards, can be controlled.
- Such a heat dissipation layer can through all materials that have good thermal conductivity, be realized. However, it turned out to be particularly effective at least one channel or several recesses, in the form of tubes, columns, slots and the like. Through which a medium, preferably air, can flow around the Heat transfer or heat transfer to take over.
- the heat dissipation layer is used for the entire Height of the chimney, at least from the flue gas inlet and as far as possible around the chimney should be arranged around, is formed as completely as possible by an annular gap. Spacers or supports that are necessary only for reasons of stability should then Interrupt the annular gap. It can then be advantageous to use the spacers or supports to be designed so that they taper radially inwards, in spite of the presence of spacers or supports one as far as possible in the circumferential direction To provide an annular gap or a heat dissipation layer.
- Such a chimney according to the invention can have a particularly simple manner with molded insulating element elements can be realized for the correspondingly independent protection is claimed.
- the shaped insulation elements offer the opportunity for the heat transport in the heat dissipation position preferred annular gaps, gaps, slots, Realize tubes and the like in a simple manner, with special attention to one to obtain the most complete surrounding heat dissipation layer is achievable.
- tubes can be provided integrally in insulating body shaped elements, while annular gaps can be provided on the inside or outside by two-part or two-shell design of the insulating body shaped elements with the formation of grooves or depressions in one or both shell bodies. Since it is preferred to provide the heat dissipation layer approximately in the center of the insulation, a double-shell structure of the insulating body shaped elements is particularly suitable, the annular gap being correspondingly arranged on a separating surface arranged centrally coaxially to the flue gas pipe of the fireplace. In order to prevent the annular gap from closing, appropriate spacers are then preferably provided here, which can in particular be designed to taper radially inwards.
- means for improving the heat transfer can be provided.
- a layer that has a high heat transfer coefficient such as a metal layer made of aluminum or copper.
- the metal layer can be formed by a preferably laminated film or an inserted metal tube.
- layers of glass fleece, glass silk or a water glass spray coating are also conceivable as a heat transfer medium. These have in common that they ensure particularly good heat transfer, in particular to the medium flowing through the gaps, slots, tubes or other recesses.
- An aluminum foil with a thickness in the range from 17 to 60 ⁇ m has proven particularly useful.
- the insulating body shaped elements are preferably in the circumferential direction made of several parts, in particular segmented, so that the segments in simple way between the inner pipe carrying the flue gas and the outer casing can be attached.
- the insulating body shaped elements made of mineral wool, in particular rock wool, preferably have a raw weight of 65 to 165 kg / m 3 , in particular 80 to 130 kg / m 3 and most preferably 110 to 120 kg / m 3 . It is advantageous here to provide a higher bulk density, for example in the range from 110 to 150 kg / m 3 , on the inside, i.e. in the vicinity of the inner tube carrying flue gas, while a lower bulk density, for example in the range from 80 to 110 kg, on the outside / m 3 is provided.
- the chimney can be constructed from several shots in the axial direction.
- Figure 1 shows a cross section through a steel chimney according to the invention, which has an inner steel jacket (inner tube) 1 and an outer tube 2 also made of steel. Between the inner tube 1 and the outer tube 2, insulating material 3, 4 is provided, which is formed in the exemplary embodiment shown from two composite ring bodies 3 and 4.
- the insulation material usually consists of mineral wool, in particular rock wool with a bulk density of 65-165 kg / m 3 , in particular 80-130 kg / m 3 .
- An air gap 7 is arranged between the insulation elements 3 and 4 and extends over the entire length of the fireplace.
- the air gap 7 is produced in that spacer elements 5 are provided in the outer ring body 4 at certain intervals, which keep the inner ring body 3 and the outer ring body 4 at a distance and divide the air gap 7.
- An aluminum foil 6 is further arranged between the two ring bodies 3 and 4, which completely surrounds the inner ring body 3. The aluminum foil 6 serves to dissipate the heat absorbed by the inner ring body 3 as far as possible to the air flowing past in the annular gap 7.
- the spacers 5 are designed as semicircular webs, so that they are almost along a line in contact with the ring body 3. This ensures that the annular gap 7 is maximized in the circumferential direction.
- the spacers 5 also take other suitable cross-sectional shapes, in particular triangular with the tips pointing inwards accordingly.
- FIG. 2 shows in partial image a) a cross section through a chimney according to the invention, as has already been shown in Figure 1.
- the drawing files b) to e) that the insulating material arranged between the inner tube 1 and the outer tube 2 3 can also be formed from one-piece segments.
- the tubes 7 for the air flow along the chimney can also have different cross-sectional shapes and either on the inside (drawing d) or on the outside (drawing e) of the Insulating body 3 may be arranged or located in the insulating body (drawing b and c).
- the segmented design also facilitates the manufacture of the insulating body or the Partial insulation body 3, since then the areas that represent the annular gap 7 in a simple manner can be milled from the solid material, for example using appropriate wire milling.
- FIG. 3 shows once again in partial images a) and b) a chimney according to the invention, as it is already shown in Figure 1. However, FIG. 3 also illustrates that the The annular gap extends over the entire length of the chimney (drawing b).
- FIG. 4 shows that the chimney connection 8 is also arranged on the side can be, wherein the annular gap 7 extends over the entire length and preferably has an opening at the bottom of the fireplace.
- the arrows in Figure 4 clarify the flow of air flowing through the annular gap 7.
- FIG. 5 shows how the temperature at measuring points 1 and 2 in FIG. 4 changes over time developed during a burnout attempt.
- An example was in a stainless steel fireplace 50 mm thick mineral insulating body and stomata (see drawing 1) Burnout test carried out. The chimney was exposed to 1000 ° C for 50 min The highest temperatures were measured on the chimney head without critical values to reach. In the present system with rear ventilation, the temperatures were on the Outside of the chimney head clearly above the temperatures in the lower area of the chimney. This is in contrast to the temperature behavior of conventional (more homogeneous) Systems. They always have the highest temperatures above the entry point measured both in the inner tube and on the outer jacket.

Abstract
