Abstract

Die Erfindung betrifft eine Niederdruckentladungslampe mit einem rohrförmigen Entladungsgefäß aus Glas, dessen freie Enden gasdicht verschlossen sind, zwei Elektrodensystemen (3) mit jeweils einer Wendel (7), zwei Stromzuführungen (5, 6) und einer Perle (8) aus Glas, wobei die Stromzuführungen (5, 6) mit ihren Enden in die gasdicht verschlossenen Enden des Entladungsgefäßes und zur Halterung in einem Bereich zwischen der Wendel (7) und der Entladungsgefäßeinschmelzung (2) in die Perle (8) eingeschmolzen sind und einer Vorrichtung zur Abschaltung der Lampe am Lebensdauerende bestehend aus einer Paste (9), die ein Metallhydrid enthält und auf der Perle (8) angebracht ist. Erfindungsgemäß besteht die Perle (8) aus einem Glasmaterial, das einen spezifischen elektrischen Widerstand von größer 108 Ωcm bei 350°C besitzt. Außerdem ist die Paste (9), mit dem Metallhydrid bezüglich der von der Wendel (7) der Lampe im Betrieb ausgehenden Wärmestrahlung im Strahlungsschatten auf der Perle (8) angebracht und besitzt keinen elektrischen Kontakt zu den Stromzuführungsdrähten (5, 6) auf der Perle (8).
