Definitions
- the invention relates to an electromechanical connecting device with a current transmitter housing and with a current collector housing, flat contacts being located on the housing sides facing each other, the current generator housing being provided with current supply connections and with a movable magnetic carriage having current contact points which are connected to the current supply connections, in which Current generator housing on the side facing away from the current collector housing, a permanent magnet is arranged, the magnetic slide of the current generator housing and the current collector housing are each provided with magnets which are arranged such that when the current generator housing and current collector housing lie one on top of the other, magnets of different polarity are arranged opposite one another, as a result of which Current contact points of the magnetic slide against the retention force of the permanent magnet connect to the flat contacts of the current transmitter housing and thus also establish the power connection to the flat contacts in the pantograph housing.
- a generic electromechanical connecting device is known from WO 98/09346.
- the magnets of the magnetic carriage of the current transmitter housing and the magnets of the current collector mergephaseuses the magnetic carriage moves against the retaining force of the permanent magnet so that a connection to the flat contacts of the current transmitter housing and thus also a power connection to the flat contacts in the current collector housing is made.
- An arc between the flat contacts has been found to be disadvantageous for various fields of application, in particular in the motor vehicle sector.
- An open or visible arc or isolating spark, particularly in motor vehicles, is not desirable, particularly for safety reasons.
- a disadvantage for certain areas of application of the electro-mechanical connection device can moreover be the ease of detachability between the current transmitter housing and the current collector housing, which is, however, desired in other application areas.
- the present invention is based on the problem of solving the disadvantages of the prior art, in particular an open arc or isolating spark between the flat contacts of the current transmitter housing and the current outlet. neh ergeheses to prevent and create a more resilient connection for appropriate applications.
- this object is achieved in that the current transmitter housing and the current collector housing are forcibly connectable and detachable to one another by means of a rotating device, the flat contacts of the current transmitter housing and the current collector housing being in contact earlier and longer when they are disconnected than when the current transmitter housing and current collector housing are disconnected the flat contacts of the current transmitter housing with the current contact points on the magnetic slide.
- the current transmitter housing and the current collector housing are forcibly connected by a rotating device, it is advantageously achieved that the flat contacts of the current transmitter housing and the current collector housing come into contact before the current contact points on the magnetic slide are in contact with the flat contacts of the current generator housing.
- the magnets of the magnetic carriage and the current collector housing are only arranged relative to one another at the end of the twisting movement in such a way that magnets of different polarities are arranged opposite one another. Only in this position or, depending on the configuration, in an adjoining position, does the magnetic slide move against the retaining force of the permanent magnet in the direction of the flat contacts of the current transmitter housing or is in contact with them.
- the flat contacts of the current transmitter housing and the current collector housing are already connected to one another, so that no arc can arise between them.
- An arc can possibly only occur between the current contact points on the magnetic slide and the flat contacts of the current transmitter housing, and thus internally.
- the twisting movement or the rotating device ensures in an analogous manner that first the position of the magnets of the magnetic carriage relative to the magnets of the current collector housing is changed such that the magnetic carriage or the current contact points on the magnetic carriage change from the flat contacts disconnect the current transmitter housing and only then the contact between the flat contacts of the current transmitter housing and the current collector housing is interrupted.
- the rotating device can be designed in such a way that inadvertent disconnection or easy detachment of the current collector housing from the current transmitter housing is prevented. It can also be provided that the connection between the current collector housing and the current generator housing can be released in the form of an emergency release in the form of an emergency release for safety reasons before a damage occurs to other parts.
- the rotating device has an in / out area and a current has clock cycle area, between which the current transmitter housing and the current collector housing can be rotated relative to one another, the in-discharge region being arranged such that the magnets of the current collector housing and the magnetic carriage of the current transmitter housing are offset from one another in such a way that the magnetic slide does not abut the flat contacts of the current transmitter housing.
- the rotating device has a defined entry and exit area and a current contact area, the device according to the invention can be handled in a particularly simple manner safely and without errors.
- the arrangement of the on-discharge area ensures that when the current collector housing is attached to the current transmitter housing, only contact occurs between the flat contacts, since the magnets of the magnetic carriage and the current collector housing are offset from one another in this area in such a way that, possibly including the retaining force of the Permanent magnet, it is ensured that the magnetic slide does not rest on the flat contacts of the current transmitter housing. Due to the rotating movement of the current transmitter housing or the current collector housing in the direction of the current contact area, the magnets of the magnetic carriage and the current collector housing then move the magnetic carriage in the direction of the flat contacts of the current generator housing, as a result of which the desired current connection is created.
- the flat contacts of the current transmitter housing and / or the current collector housing have at least approximately an arc shape.
- the circular arc shape of the flat contacts ensures that a connection between the respective flat contacts is created or remains during the twisting movement of the current transmitter housing or the current collector housing relative to one another.
- the circular arc shape or the bean-like shape of the flat contacts can be chosen with regard to their length in such a way that it is ensured that the flat contacts of the current transmitter housing and the current collector housing are in contact earlier and longer when disconnected than the flat contacts of the current transmitter housing with the current contact points on the magnet slider. It can advantageously be provided that the flat contacts extend over an angle which corresponds to the angle of rotation of the twisting movement.
- the magnets of the current collector housing and the magnetic carriage of the current transmitter housing are arranged in the in-discharge region in such a way that the magnetic effect causes the current generator housing and the current collector housing to rotate independently to the current contact region.
- the current collector housing can be connected to the current generator housing in an advantageous and user-friendly manner.
- incorrect operation is excluded due to the independent rotary movement. Since the independent rotary movement takes place due to the magnetic effect between the magnets of the current collector housing and the magnets of the magnetic carriage, an additional, possibly battery-operated, This facility is not necessary. Due to the independent rotary movement of the current transmitter housing or the current collector housing, the operator also recognizes that the current generator housing and the current collector housing have been correctly connected to one another.
- the rotating device is designed as a bayonet-type closure.
- An embodiment of the rotating device as a bayonet-type closure has proven to be particularly suitable with regard to a possibly desired connection security between the current transmitter housing and the current collector housing, inexpensive and simple manufacture and simple operability.
- the current collector housing or the current transmitter housing for different voltages has differently polarized magnets such that the magnetic fields of the 12 volt current collector housing or the 12 volt current generator housing and the 24th -Volt pantograph housing or the 24-volt current transmitter housing are reversed.
- Figure 1 is a plan view of a current transmitter housing with circular flat contacts and with an integrated dashed magnetic slide with magnets.
- FIG. 3 shows a section through a current transmitter housing with a magnetic slide, magnets, current contact points, power supply connections and a permanent magnet, shown in principle;
- FIG. 4 shows a section through the current collector housing according to the line IV-IV of FIG. 2 in a first embodiment
- FIG. 5 shows a section through the current collector housing according to line IV-IV of FIG. 2 in a second embodiment
- FIG. 6 shows a section through the current collector housing according to line IV-IV of FIG. 2 in a third embodiment
- FIG. 7 is an enlarged view of a tongue cut into the outer circumference of the current collector housing and provided with peg-like projections according to view VII of FIG. 6.
- the electromechanical connecting device has a current transmitter housing 1 shown in FIG. 1 and a current collector housing 2 shown in FIG. 2.
- the principle of operation of the electromechanical connecting device is already known, for example from WO 97/50152 and WO 98/09346. Accordingly, only the features relevant to the solution of the task according to the invention are discussed below.
- the current transmitter housing 1 has flat contacts 3 on its housing side or top side facing the current collector housing 2, which are designed in the form of a circular arc in the exemplary embodiment shown.
- the current transmitter housing 1 has a movable magnetic carriage 4, only indicated by dashed lines, with four magnets 5, also indicated only by dashed lines.
- the magnetic slide 4 with the magnets 5 can be moved within the current transmitter housing 1.
- the magnetic carriage 4 is attracted by a permanent magnet 6 such that the magnetic carriage 4, if the current collector housing 2 is not in connection with the current transmitter housing 1, bears against the permanent magnet 6.
- the current transmitter housing 1 and the current collector housing 2 are forcibly connected or detached to one another by means of a twisting movement.
- the current generator housing 1 has a rotating device 11.
- the current collector housing 2 can also have a rotating device 11 or the rotating device 11 can be formed in two parts.
- the rotating device 11 has an on-discharge area 12 and a current contact area 13, between which the current transmitter housing 1 and the current collector housing 2 can be rotated relative to one another.
- the on-discharge area 12 is arranged so that the magnets 5 of the magnetic carriage 4 and the magnets 9 of the current collector housing 2 are offset from one another in such a way that the magnetic carriage 4 is not moved in the direction of the flat contacts 3 when connecting, or not when released more on the flat contacts 3.
- the in-discharge area 12 is also selected such that the flat contacts 10 are in contact with the flat contacts 3 and this contact remains during the entire twisting movement between the current contact area 13 and the in-discharge area 12.
- both flat contacts 3, 10 can also be designed such that they extend over the entire length of the twisting movement.
- the on-discharge region 12 is selected such that the current transmitter housing 1 and the current collector housing 2 perform an independent rotary movement in the direction of the current contact region 13 due to the magnetic action of the magnets 5 and the magnets 9.
- This can be achieved in a simple manner by partially overlapping the magnets 5 or the magnets 9 with different polarities.
- the overlap is to be selected such that the magnetic effect is sufficient to initiate an automatic rotary movement, but is too small to overcome the magnetic force of the permanent magnet 6 acting on the magnetic carriage 4.
- the magnetic force of the permanent magnet 6 predominates in comparison to the magnetic force between the magnets 5 and the magnets 9.
- the rotating device 11 has a rotary movement by an angle of rotation such that the magnets 9 of the current collector housing and the magnets 5 of the magnetic carriage 4 in the infeed-out area 12 repel or tighten less than the retaining force of the permanent magnet 6 and in the current contact tighten area 13.
- a particularly advantageous angle of rotation for this has turned out to be an angle of rotation of 20 ° to 40 °, preferably 30 °.
- the magnetic effect between the magnet 5 and the magnet 9 is so high that the magnetic carriage 4 establishes a connection to the flat contacts 3 of the current transmitter housing 1 against the retaining force of the permanent magnet 6.
- the current contact area 13 thus coincides with the area in which the current collector housing 2 is placed on the current transmitter housing 1 in the prior art.
- the parts required for this purpose are also designed in this way, in particular also the magnetic slide 4 with regard to the material selection.
- the rotating device is designed as a bayonet-like closure 11.
- a particularly secure connection between the current transmitter housing 1 and the current collector housing 2 is possible, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, in that the outer circumference 2a of the current collector housing 2 is designed such that the current collector housing 2 is in the connection area between the current collector housing 2 and the current generator housing 1 encloses an adjacent outer circumference la of the current generator housing 1. It is thus possible in a simple manner to design the current collector housing 2 in the connection area with two inwardly directed pin-like projections 14, bolts, tips, tabs, hooks or the like, which engage in a corresponding recess 15 in the current generator housing 1.
- the outer periphery 2a of the pantograph housing 2 encloses the outer periphery la of the current transmitter housing 1 a particularly tight, in a simple manner also waterproof connection between the current transmitter housing 1 and the current collector housing 2 is created.
- a connection by means of pin-like projections 14 and corresponding recesses 15 has proven to be particularly simple to produce and to handle.
- a connection that is free of play can be established to a high degree.
- the peg-like projections 14 can be introduced in a simple manner into the infeed-out area 12, which opens into the recess 15, and can be displaced along this up to the current contact area 13.
- a fine lock 16 can advantageously be provided in the current contact area 13. The fine lock 16 enables a particularly secure, wobble-free and play-free connection of the current transmitter housing 1 to the current collector housing 2.
- the peg-like projections 14 can be injected, for example, in a particularly inexpensive embodiment.
- any other technique for attaching the pin-like projections 14 is also possible.
- the peg-like projections 14 or the like have an elongated shape which tapers in the connection area from the housing side facing the current transmitter housing 1 or the top side of the current collector housing 2 in the direction of a housing underside . has a slope (Fig. 4). Due to the wedge-shaped design, it is possible that the current collector housing 2 expands under a definable tensile load and the current collector housing 2 is thus detached from the current generator housing 1 without a rotary movement having to be initiated manually. This measure serves to avoid damage to the electromechanical connecting device.
- the wedge-shaped shape or the bevel of the peg-like projections 14 support a widening of the current collector housing 2.
- the current collector housing 2 and the peg-like projections 14 are designed in such a way that such violent loosening only takes place in an emergency.
- the current collector housing 2 can be formed from an elastic or resilient material. This also makes it possible to achieve a violent disconnection of the current transmitter housing 1 from the current collector housing 2 in an emergency.
- FIG. 5 Another alternative arrangement of the peg-shaped projections 14 is shown in FIG. 5. It is provided that the current collector housing 2 is surrounded on its outer circumference 2a by a ring 17 on which the pin-like projections 14 are arranged. The peg-like projections 14 protrude inward through corresponding bores in the outer wall 2a. As has been found in tests, the outer circumference 2a can be provided with the ring 17 in an advantageous, simple and inexpensive manner. It can also be provided that the outer circumference 2a has a circumferential recess adapted to the ring for receiving the ring 17. On the one hand, a uniform outer surface of the current collector housing 2 is achieved, on the other hand, the ring 17 is guided in an advantageous manner.
- the ring can be designed to be correspondingly elastic.
- Advantageous this is when the ring 17 does not have a closed shape, so that the ring 17 is bent open in a simple manner when a defined tensile load is applied. This can be achieved in a simple manner in that the ring 17 does not have a closed circular shape but a gap.
- This has also proven to be particularly advantageous with regard to the attachment of the ring 17 to the outer circumference 2a.
- the peg-like projections attached to the ring 17 can be configured in exactly the same way as the wedge-shaped projections 14 already described.
- a further arrangement of the peg-like projections 14 shown in FIG. 6 can consist in that the outer circumference 2a of the current collector housing 2 has elastic tongues 18.
- the elastic tongues 18 can be cut or milled in a simple manner into the material of the outer circumference 2a. As already described with reference to FIGS. 4 and 5, the tongues 18 also bend when a correspondingly large tensile load occurs, so that the current collector housing 2 is separated from the current generator housing 1.
- An enlarged representation of the tongues 18 can be seen in FIG. 7.
- the pin-like projections 14 shown can have different dimensions to which the infeed-out areas 12 or the cutouts 15 shown in FIG. 1 are correspondingly adapted with regard to their opening width.
- the different-sized peg-like projections 14 ensure that the current collector housing 2 can be connected to the current generator housing 1 only in one position. In a position rotated by 180 °, a pin 14 with a large diameter would hit an infeed and outfeed area 12, the latter cannot record. This prevents incorrect connection.
- the current collector housing 2 or the current generator housing 1 can have magnets 9 or 5 with different poles with different voltages. This applies in particular to current collector housing 2 or current generator housing 1 with 12 volt or 24 volt voltage, which are frequently used in the motor vehicle sector. It can be provided that the magnetic fields of the 12-volt current collector housing 2 or the 12-volt current transmitter housing 1 and the 24-volt current collector housing or the 24-volt current generator housing 1 are reversed. In connection with the different sized peg-shaped projections, this ensures that even if the operator puts on a wrong current collector housing 2, the magnetic carriage 4 is not attracted but even repelled due to the reverse polarity. A current flow is therefore excluded. In addition, after the wrong current collector housing 2 has been put on, there is also no independent rotary movement in the direction of the current contact area 13. Thus, even the inexperienced operator can easily recognize that the wrong current collector housing 2 has been put on.
- the ring 17 can be marked in a different color or in another way to differentiate the different current collector housings 2, so that it indicates the corresponding voltage. A particularly inexpensive and advantageous production of the device according to the invention is thus possible.
- the current transmitter housing 1 or the current collector housing 2 can be designed such that they can also be connected to conventional current collector housings 2 or current generator housings 1 (i.e. without a rotating device 11).
- the magnetic force, the switching speed of the magnetic carriage 4 is so fast that larger currents, e.g. 42 volts, without destructive arc switches, or can be contacted.
- the magnets 5, 9 and / or the permanent magnet 6 can be designed accordingly in a simple manner.
