Definitions
- the present invention relates to a luminaire with a reflector and two optical elements with a microprism structure for limiting the exit angle of the light beams from the luminaire according to the preamble of patent claim 1.
- optical elements of the above type is to be achieved that the exit angle of light rays from the lamp is limited, i. is less than a predetermined threshold exit angle to reduce glare to the viewer.
- such an optical element also causes mechanical protection of the lamp and in particular of the lamp inside the lamp.
- Such an optical element is for example from the Austrian patent AT-B-403,403 known.
- the known optical element on its lamp side facing the lamp in rows and rows arranged pyramidal profiles 2, so-called microprisms, which are formed as a truncated pyramid starting from a plate-shaped core 3 and a parallel to the base surface (light exit surface) of the core 3 lying upper boundary surface (light entrance surface) have.
- the entire optical element 1 consists entirely of a transparent or transparent material.
- the known luminaire 4 has a lamp 5, such as a fluorescent tube or the like, a reflector housing 6 surrounding the lamp 5 and an optical element 1.
- the optical element 1 also consists of a plate-shaped core 3 of transparent material, which is occupied on one side with microprisms 2, which taper to form furrows 7 - starting from its root, wherein the entirety of the micro-prism cover surfaces, the light entry surface. 8 forms.
- lenses 9 are provided on the other side of the core 3, which forms the light exit surface.
- a luminaire with a lamp, a reflector surrounding the lamp and an optical element of the type described above arranged in the emission direction in front of the lamp is known, for example, from US Pat EP 0 911 577 A2 known.
- the JP-A-10 106319 describes a similar luminaire in which two optical elements are arranged one behind the other in the emission direction, the microprism structures of these optical elements being aligned parallel to one another.
- the WO 96/10148 again shows an arrangement in which two optical elements are arranged one behind the other, wherein the micro-prism structure of the one optical element is aligned transversely to the micro-prism structure of the other optical element.
- the American Patent US 5,863,114 on the other hand shows a light-emitting panel unit with a light source and a prism plate.
- the use of the correspondingly designed optical element ensures glare-free illumination for the viewer, the brightness distribution of the light via the optical element is not uniform, since more light beams are coupled into the optical element in the vicinity of the lamp than, for example in the edge regions of the optical element.
- the lamp is not directly visible through the optical element, but due to the greater brightness, its position can at least be guessed by the viewer.
- the WO 95/12782 In order to achieve a uniform light emission of the lighting arrangement, it is for example from the WO 95/12782 known to couple light from a lamp laterally in a light guide, which transports the light mainly parallel to its light exit surface. On the light exit surface of the light-guiding element, a micro-prism structure is attached, which on the one hand enables decoupling of the light from the light guide and, on the other hand, limits the exit angle of the illumination arrangement. It should be noted, however, that in the WO 95/12782 described backlight lighting for displays or other displays and for room lighting is only partially suitable.
- the luminaire according to the invention has a total of two optical elements, which have the same structure and whose microprisms each have an elongated structure, at least one lamp and a reflector.
- the second optical element is arranged parallel to the first optical element, wherein the microprisms of the second optical element extend transversely to the microprisms of the first optical element, i. the two optical elements with respect to the extension direction of their microprisms are rotated against each other by 90 °.
- two elongated and mutually parallel lamps are provided which are arranged laterally offset outwards relative to the emission opening, wherein the reflector is arranged and shaped with respect to the lamps such that essentially only light beams reflected at the reflector leave the emission opening through the optical elements can.
- Fig. 5 an embodiment of the luminaire according to the invention is shown schematically.
- the optical elements used in these luminaires are in Fig. 4 shown.
- the first embodiment according to Fig. 3 which is not the subject of the claims, shows a luminaire 10 with two elongated lamps 11, such as fluorescent tubes.
- the lamps 11 are enclosed by a corresponding reflector 12, which has an emission opening 13 on its underside.
- the reflector 12 may either serve itself as a housing of the luminaire or be arranged and fixed in a corresponding (not shown) luminaire housing.
- an optical element 14 is used, which essentially corresponds to the in Fig. 1 corresponds to the known element shown.
- the optical element 14 arranged in or in front of the emission opening 13 serves for the deflection of light rays 15 entering and exiting therefrom, such that their exit angle is limited, ie smaller than a predetermined limit exit angle of approximately 60-70 °.
- the optical element 14 a plate-shaped core 16 of transparent material, such as acrylic glass, which is occupied on one side with microprisms 17, which tapers to form furrows 18 - starting from its root, the entirety of Micro-prism cover surfaces, the light entrance surface and the other side of the core 17 forms the light exit surface.
- the microprisms 17 are arranged like a matrix in rows and rows (cross structure).
- the optical element 12 conversely in the luminaire 10.
- the entirety of the microprism cover surfaces forms the light exit surface and the other side of the core 17 forms the light entry surface.
- the lamps 11 are arranged laterally offset from the emission opening 13 or the optical element 14. Further, the reflector 12 is arranged and shaped with respect to the lamps 11 so that the light beams 15 radiated from the lamps 11 can not be emitted directly through the emission opening 13, ie substantially only at the reflector 12 reflected light rays 15 can leave the emission opening 13 through the optical element 14.
- the inside of the reflector 12 is formed diffusely reflective, such as painted white or coated with highly reflective Teflon.
- the construction of the microprismatic 17 optical element 14, in a known manner, provides glare control of the light rays to the viewer, i. A limitation of the exit angle of the light rays 15 from the lamp 10. Due to the fact that no or almost no light beams are emitted directly from the lamps 11 through the optical element 14, but substantially only on the inside of the reflector 12 reflected light beams 15 in the optical element 14 einkoppeln and leave this down again, one reaches a uniform or at least almost uniform illumination of the entire surface of the optical element 14. This effect is further enhanced by a diffusely reflecting inside of the reflector.
- the second embodiment differs from the first embodiment in that a total of two optical elements 14-1 and 14-2 are arranged in or in front of the emission opening 13 of the reflector 12. Moreover, the structure of the lamp 10, ie in particular the arrangement of the lamps 11 and the reflector 12, that of the first embodiment.
- both optical elements 14-1, 14-2 of the luminaire 10 are according to Fig. 4 built up.
- the microprisms 17 of this embodiment have an elongated structure.
- the microprisms extend in an extending direction of the optical element over the substantially entire length of the optical element 10 (longitudinal structure) while being arranged consecutively in the other direction.
- a transverse suppression perpendicular to the extension direction of the microprisms 17 is achieved.
- the extension direction of the microprisms 17 of the one optical element 14-1 being rotated by 90 ° with respect to the extension direction of the microprisms 17 of the other optical element 14-2 is, ie the microprisms of the first optical element 14-1 extend transversely to the microprisms of the second optical element 14-2, the same effect is achieved as with a single cross-sectional optical element 14.
- the production of the optical elements 14-1, 14-2 with a longitudinal structure is simpler and thus less expensive than the production of the optical elements 14 with a cross-shaped structure.
- Fig. 5 is the first optical element 14-1 arranged such that the elongated microprisms 17 is aligned parallel to the longitudinal axis of the lamps 11, while the extension direction of the microprisms 17 of the second optical element 14-2 transverse to the longitudinal axis of the lamps 11 extends.
- the optical elements 14-1 and 14-2 may also be mounted in reverse order in or in front of the emission aperture 13 of the reflector 12, without this having any influence on the optical properties of the entire assembly.
- the spaces 18 between the adjacent microprisms 17 are preferably covered with a reflective material 19, such as a high reflectivity metal foil. This ensures that only the light which strikes from the lamps 11 via the reflector 12 to the top surfaces of the microprisms 17 forming the light entry surface is emitted by the optical element 14-1, 14-2. The incident on the cover 19 light rays are reflected back into the interior of the lamp 10 and reflected back from the inside of the reflector 12 in the direction of the optical element 14-1, 14-2.
- a reflective material 19 such as a high reflectivity metal foil.
- the efficiency of the optical element 14-1, 14-2 can be further increased.
- optical element 14-1, 14-2 of Fig. 4 These measures can, of course, in all other embodiments of the lamp, in particular in the embodiments of Fig. 3 and 6 , be applied in an analogous manner.
- the reflector 12 has on its underside an emission opening 13, which is closed by an optical element 14-1.
- the optical element 14-1 corresponds to that in FIG Fig. 4 Thus, in particular, it has a longitudinal structure of the microprisms 17.
- the optical element 14-1 is, as in FIG Fig. 6 shown oriented in such a way that the microprisms 17 extend transversely to the longitudinal axis of the lamp 11.
- the inside of the reflector 12 is designed to be reflective and the lamp 11 is not offset laterally but is arranged centrally above the optical element 14-1. Nevertheless, even in this case, uniform illumination of the optical element 14-1 and glare reduction of the light rays, i.
- the optical element 14-1 due to the longitudinal structure of the microprisms 17 transversely to the longitudinal axis of the lamp provides for a glare parallel to the longitudinal axis of the lamp, and a uniform illumination parallel to the longitudinal direction of the lamp is given automatically by the elongated shape of the lamp.
- the optical elements 14-1, 14-2 can also be arranged in or in front of the emission opening 13 of the luminaire 10 in the case of the luminaires 10 according to the second and third embodiments, so that either the entirety of the microprism cover surfaces occupy the light entry surface and the other side of the core forms the light exit side or vice versa.
Description
Darin zeigen:

- In
Fig. 4 aufgebaut.
Fig. 4 gezeigten Ausführungsform, besitzt also insbesondere eine Längsstruktur der Mikroprismen 17.
