Definitions
- the invention relates to a roller for guiding sheet material.
- Corresponding rollers are also known as spreader rollers with which web-like material is spread out, or as so-called separating rollers with which sheet-like material is separated into several sheets, known.
- Spreader rolls regularly include a support shaft and one on the support shaft arranged, deformable covering with a substantially cylindrical peripheral surface.
- the peripheral surface runs essentially rotationally symmetrical to the axis of the Support shaft.
- the covering Starting from its peripheral surface, the covering has helical incisions.
- EP 0 703 176 A1 describes an spreader roll in which the radial on both sides The middle plane of the roller provided incisions in the form of one from the middle plane to undercut uniform helix each running at the outer end of the roller are trained.
- the purpose of the slitter rolls mentioned is to web-like material, such as thin foils, paper webs and textile webs spread out smoothly before further processing.
- slitter rolls for example, have been developed where the depth of cut increases towards the end of the covering.
- the invention has for its object a spreader roll with an improved To provide spreading effect.
- an improved spreading effect is then achieved can be if next to the end of the covering of the spreader roller running first incisions at least one further incision to the respective End runs towards, the starting point of the further incision regarding the Starting points of the first incision axially towards the relevant end is staggered. In other words: run to each end of the covering at least two incisions, the starting points of which are arranged axially offset.
- the spreading effect thus improved is based on the following finding:
- the Spreader effect of the spreader roller is the greater, the greater the slope of the Incisions is.
- the slope cannot be chosen too large, since the The distance between successive incisions is then too large and that between the incisions remaining "web” would be too wide. Since the "web", ie the area of the covering between the Turns of an incision, does not contribute to the spreading effect, the distance may not be too big between the turns.
- the further incision according to the invention between a first incision is quasi in the "web” arranged between the turns of the first incision. This also allows this Contribute section of the covering to the spreading effect.
- the spreading effect of the further incision acts only from this Starting point of the further incision, ie also "further out” than the first Incision.
- the spreading effect of the spreading roller is also "wider” outside “, ie towards the end of the covering, stronger than” further inside “ it to the desired effect described above, after which the spreader roller guided, sheet-like material slightly outwards, i.e. towards the end of the Covering is tensioned.
- the starting points of the first cuts can be anywhere on the surface lie. You can, for example, on an imaginary perpendicular to the support shaft
- the middle plane of the spreader roller, which divides the spreader roller into two halves, is located. They can also lie in the area of the central plane, i.e. adjacent to the central plane.
- the Starting points can be on the end of the flooring up to which the first cuts extend from the starting point in question, facing or facing away Side (in the latter case the cuts then run across the median plane) of the Middle level.
- the number of first cuts that run towards the end of the covering is fundamental any. It can be provided that only one first at each end of the covering Incision runs. However, it can also be provided that at each end of the covering two, three, four or more incisions each.
- Spreader rollers with several cuts running towards the end of the covering known from the prior art. They are also called “multi-course” spreader rolls designated.
- the starting points of the first incisions can be arranged radially offset from one another his.
- the distance of the dislocation can be even.
- their Starting points accordingly offset from one another, for example, by an angle of rotation of 180 ° be arranged with three incisions by an angle of rotation of 120 °, with four incisions around a rotation angle of 90 ° and so on.
- two or more incisions have the same starting point and have a different slope towards the end of the surface.
- the first incisions can run at a distance from one another or intersect, that is "cross". This applies to both the first incisions, each at the same end of the The covering runs as well as for the incisions that lead to different ends of the covering run away. In this case there is a "diamond pattern" on the surface of the Covering.
- the course of the first incisions is helical (spiral). This helical one
- the course can be continuous (i.e. with a constant slope) or discontinuous (i.e. with a gradient that is not constant).
- the slope parallel to the axis of the support shaft is measured under "slope" Understand the distance between successive turns of the same incision. It is therefore equal to the relative axial displacement at a rotation angle of 360 °.
- the first incisions increase with increasing Gradient towards the end of the surface.
- the distance between them following turns of the first incision increase from its starting point to to run out at the end of the covering. It can be provided that the slope is continuously increasing.
- the first incisions decrease, for example continuously decreasing, slope towards the end of the surface.
- One or more further incisions can be provided.
- the Number of further incisions match the number of first incisions, that is with a first incision also another incision, with two first incisions two there will be further cuts and so on.
- the starting points can be used further cuts also with regard to the starting point of the other other Incision, which runs towards the same end of the covering, in the direction of the relevant one End of the covering to be axially offset.
- the starting points of the further incisions can each be perpendicular to the Support shaft extending, imaginary plane of the spreader roller.
- the starting points these further incisions can be arranged radially offset from one another.
- the Distance of the dislocation can be even.
- their Starting points accordingly offset from one another, for example, by an angle of rotation of 180 ° be arranged with three incisions by an angle of rotation of 120 °, with four incisions around a rotation angle of 90 ° and so on.
- at least two starting points of further incisions on several, spaced apart planes lie. On this, for example, they can again, as stated above, evenly spaced apart.
- the starting points have at least one further incision in the area of the first to the fifth turn or the first to the third turn of the first incision, which runs towards the same end of the covering, is arranged.
- a "turn” is a rotation of an incision through 360 ° understood the topping.
- the “first turn” of the first incision is the distance that the first incision between its starting point and a point after a rotation 360 ° around the covering.
- the “second turn” is accordingly the distance that the incision between the point after a rotation of 360 ° and a rotation of 720 ° to cover the topping and so on.
- the further incision can be evenly spaced from the first incision, which is to each run the same end of the covering, be arranged.
- the further incision runs in the middle of the web between the adjacent turns of the first incision.
- both the first incisions as well the other incisions can also be arranged symmetrically to the central plane.
- the incisions i.e. both the first and the further incisions, can be vertical (i.e. at an angle of 90 ° to the surface of the covering) or with an inclination to Surface of the covering run, for example at an angle between 80 ° and 40 ° or between 70 ° and 40 ° or between 60 ° and 45 °.
- the inclination of each incision at least in sections in one the section of the incision closer to the respective end of the covering is larger than at its section closer to the starting point.
- the Inclination of each incision from its starting point to its respective end on Towards the end of the topping increases continuously. The inclination of such a cut will So starting from its starting point during its course to the end of the covering steadily larger.
- the increase in the angle of inclination can be constant or changeable, for example continuously increasing or decreasing.
- the flanks of an incision can be substantially parallel to each other.
- the flanks can be flat or curved (arched). Is too it is possible to design the incisions so that they approximate to one another in cross section
- the bottom of the incisions have a trapezoidal shape, as is the case for another type of Spreader rolls are known from WO 88/05022. Towards the respective end of the The incisions can each have an increasing incision depth.
- the diameter of the coating can be essentially constant or from the central plane increase or decrease at the end of the covering. Under "diameter of According to the application, the diameter of the covering becomes perpendicular to the covering Understood the support shaft and related to the (imaginary) course of the surface of the Covering (i.e. without cuts). This imaginary surface runs in a rotationally symmetrical manner the axis of the support shaft.
- the diameter of the covering can be symmetrical to the central plane on both sides lose weight.
- the roller has one end on both sides of the central plane frusto-conical appearance, with a spread from the median plane to the end of the covering tapered truncated cone. With a corresponding increase in diameter the truncated cones expand towards the end of the covering.
- the covering can consist of any deformable material, for example one Plastic, a polyurethane, natural rubber, other types of rubber or one elastomeric material such as silicone, silicone waste or chlorosulfonated polyethylene.
- the support shaft can be made of any dimensionally stable material, for example Steel and for example be designed as a tubular hollow body.
- the spreader roller 1 has a deformable covering 5 arranged on a support shaft 3 on.
- the support shaft 3 is a hollow shaft made of steel, which is rotatably mounted about the axis A.
- the deformable covering 5 is made on the support shaft 3 in a rotationally symmetrical manner with respect to the axis A. Rubber arranged.
- the surface of the covering 5 lies on the surface of an imaginary one Cylinder.
- the perpendicular to the support shaft 3 Middle plane M In the area of the middle plane M the covering has a circumferential one Taper 11 on.
- the from its starting point 7A to The first notch running to the left end 5L has the reference number 7.
- the of The first incision extending from its starting point 9A to the right end 5R shows this Reference number 9.
- the incisions 7 and 9 are symmetrical to the central plane M. arranged.
- the first incisions 7, 9 point continuously towards the respective end 5L, 5R increasing slope on.
- the starting points 7A and 9A are in the region of the central plane M with a small distance arranged to the central plane M in the covering.
- the first incision 9 and the further incision 13 run to the end 5R of the covering 5, while the first cut 7 and the further cut 15 to the end 5L of the covering 5 run.
- the further incisions 13, 15 are arranged symmetrically to the central plane M.
- the starting point 13A is with respect to the starting point 9A toward the end 5R of the covering 5 axially offset by the distance X.
- the starting point 15A is with respect to the starting point 7A toward the end 5L of the covering 5 axially offset by the distance Y.
- the further incisions 13, 15 are each arranged such that the between the first Incisions 7, 9 remaining webs S through the further incisions 13, 15 each to be "halved".
- the further incision 13 is therefore exactly in the middle between the Turns of the first incision 9 or the further incision 15 each arranged exactly in the middle between the turns of the first incision 7.
- the slope of the further incisions 13, 15 also increases accordingly at the end of the covering continuously.
- the covering of the roller according to FIG. 2 has in the area of Middle plane M no circumferential taper 11.
- rollers according to FIGS. 1 and 2 are essentially designed accordingly.
- the starting point 13A of the further incision 13 lies in the area of the second turn of the first incision 9, which is at the same right end 5R of the covering 5 as the other Notch 13 is running.
- the starting point 15A of the further incision 15 lies in the area of the second turn of the first incision 7, the same to the left end 5L of the covering 5 as the other Notch 15 is running.
- the angle of inclination here is approximately 55 °.
