Definitions
- the invention relates to a centerless cylindrical grinding machine for the passage and the plunge grinding arbitrary Workpieces according to the preamble of claims 1 and 9, as described, for example, in GB-2,206,299.
- continuous and plunge grinding In the literature, other terms such as or longitudinal grinding and transverse grinding used.
- Centerless cylindrical grinding machines differ from the remaining cylindrical grinding process in that the machined workpiece not in the machine or one Device is frictionally clamped, but loose on a base (workpiece support) rests.
- the centerless Grinding enables compared to other cylindrical grinding processes a higher manufacturing accuracy and a higher Productivity.
- EP-0 674 970 describes a centerless Cylindrical grinding machine, especially for the production used by valve rods and the like.
- the Machine is operated in a continuous grinding process, as the Rule slightly inclined relative to the grinding wheel is.
- the machine has a fixed workpiece support in the mold a plate with an angled bearing surface as well On both sides arranged, motorized stops for Positioning of the workpiece.
- the attacks are in one Direction parallel to the axis of rotation of the grinding wheel positionable.
- the workpiece support and the The wheelhead and the control headstock are located but not within a security enclosure. Because the Workpiece support is fixed, there is no Possibility of workpiece support for operation out of the To move the danger zone of the grinding and regulating wheel.
- GB-2 206 299 describes a centerless Cylindrical grinding machine with two workpiece supports on one 'Shuttle' (shuttle) are arranged, in turn, on a sleigh slide slides.
- the sled is not driven, but can for loading with the workpieces or to discharge the same to one or the other Page that at least one of the Workpiece supports in each case completely outside the Processing area between the grinding and the Regulator comes to rest.
- the sled with the Workpiece support only serves to receive the workpieces, does not carry any dressing devices and is constructive too not designed for receiving dressing devices.
- the Grinding wheel and regulating wheel are in one workstation (work station) arranged and there are also several Partial control wheels available. The part rule wheels seem In addition, always be used simultaneously.
- DE-1 994 0687 describes in FIG. 8 a grinding machine for centerless grinding of workpieces with a carriage on which a workpiece support is located and on which dressing tools are also fastened.
- the carriage is driven and (again with the aid of the above-mentioned axial directions) movable in the Y direction, while the grinding and the regulating wheel are movable in the X S and X R directions.
- This arrangement reduces the number of driven positioning axes without sacrificing functionality over 4-axis or even 6-axis powered machines.
- the axis of rotation of the grinding wheel is made oblique to a longitudinal central axis extending in the Y direction.
- the workpiece support is moved in the case of a dressing process in a position next to the grinding and regulating wheel, but it remains in the immediate vicinity of the same and there are no separation or security means that reliably before the operator in the event of a workpiece change inadvertent contact with the grinding wheel or regulating wheel.
- the workpiece support can thus not be completely removed from the danger zone of grinding wheel and regulating wheel for the purpose of operation.
- the dressing tools mounted on the carriage can only be used internally in this machine (internally acting here means that they are used in the area of the workpiece support, ie essentially between the grinding wheel and the regulating wheel). Regarding protection and accessibility when changing the dressing tools arise essentially the same disadvantages as when changing workpieces.
- Newer machines often have a full housing, which is one high safety level.
- One of the Manufacturer is for example the company SCHAUDT MIKROSA BWF in Leipzig, with the machine type KRONOS S
- the company DOUGLAS CURTIS LTD is located in Colchester, Essex Manufacturer of another centerless cylindrical grinding machine newer type of CURTIS UCG [Universal Centerless Grinder]. Information about both companies and machine types can be found on the INTERNET. In the mentioned machines the movable machine parts are always complete arranged within a full enclosure.
- the object of the invention is to provide a centerless Cylindrical grinding machine for through and To specify plunge grinding of any workpieces with a small number of driven positioning axes gets by and in the manipulations in the area of Workpiece support, such as the laying of a new workpiece or placing or changing from Parts for carrying out a dressing process, from Operating personnel can be carried out safely. moreover should be the means for dressing the grinding and the Regulating wheel to be used as flexible as possible.
- the solution is that in a generic machine with driven positioning axes X S (or U S ) and X R for adjusting the wheelhead and the control headstock and another driven and perpendicular to the axis X R extending positioning Yw for a carriage with a Workpiece support on a carriage track, the carriage is movable on the carriage track in a lying outside a safety housing position and the carriage is optionally equipped with an internal or an external dressing device.
- a significant advantage is that manipulations in the area of the workpiece support, such as the Placing a new workpiece or the touchdown or Changing parts to carry out a dressing process, not only completely safe by the operating personnel, but also under much improved accessibility outside of the Security housing are feasible.
- Another advantage is the flexibility that is achieved by the carriage either with inside (im Area of the workpiece support) or outward acting Dressing is equippable.
- the drive of the carriage on the slide can also be designed in such a way that an oscillating Movement of the carriage can take place. Leave it better roughness of the ground surfaces to reach.
- An inventive centerless cylindrical grinding machine can also be constructed so that the grinding wheel off several arranged one behind the other on the rotation axis Part grinding wheels and the regulating wheel of several arranged one behind the other on the axis of rotation Partial control discs exists. This allows that with a first part grinding wheel and a first part regulating wheel a first grinding operation can be performed, then the Carriage with the workpiece support in another position moved and with a second part grinding wheel and a second part control wheel a second grinding operation can be executed. There may also be others Part grinding wheels and part regulating wheels may be provided.
