Definitions

  • the invention relates to a high-pressure pump for fuel supply of fuel injection systems for internal combustion engines, in particular of common rail injection systems, according to the closer defined in the preamble of claim 1.

This can prevent the plate from performing a tilting movement.

  • the principal mode of action of these high-pressure pumps is very well suited to operating according to the common rail principle internal combustion engines, but the special construction does not guarantee a perfect function in all operating conditions, so that it may well damage the high-pressure pump and possibly even damage the internal combustion engine can come.
  • high-pressure pump 1 The basic structure of in Fig. 1 shown high-pressure pump 1 is from the DE 197 56 087 A1 known, which is why in the following only briefly on the principle of operation of the same is discussed. In addition, not all components required for the function of the high pressure pump 1 are shown. This is also on the DE 197 56 087 A1 directed.
  • the high-pressure pump 1 has a drive shaft 2, which is provided for driving in the present case three mutually offset by 120 ° piston 3. Since the high-pressure pump 1 is designed to be symmetrical, the following also applies to the other two pistons 3 for one of the three pistons 3. In this connection, it is of course possible to have a larger or a smaller number of pistons 3 on the circumference of the drive shaft 2 to install.
  • the pistons 3 are provided for the compression of fuel, which is then supplied to a high-pressure accumulator, not shown.
  • the high pressure pump 1 is used for fuel supply of a fuel injection system, not shown, for a likewise not shown internal combustion engine, in particular for a common rail injection system, which also in the DE 197 56 087 A1 is described.
  • the drive shaft 2 can be driven for example by a crank mechanism of the internal combustion engine.
  • a connection of the drive shaft 2 directly with a camshaft of the internal combustion engine or a completely separate drive the same is conceivable.
  • the drive shaft 2 In the region in which the drive shaft 2 is in operative connection with the piston 3, it is eccentric, ie it has an eccentric shaft portion 2a.
  • the shaft portion 2a is provided at its periphery with a so-called polygon ring 4, which in the present case has three flats 5 which are in direct contact with the piston 3.
  • the polygon ring 4 has a number of flats 5 corresponding to the number of pistons 3.
  • the polygon ring 4 is rotatable relative to the drive shaft 2 and brings in this way a force acting in the radial direction of the piston 3, whereby they perform an oscillating movement successively.
  • piston plates 6 are arranged between the piston 3 and the drive shaft 2 and the polygon ring 4, respectively, which have a recess 7 in which a first portion 8 of the piston 3 is mounted.
  • the piston plates 6 guide the polygon ring 4 during its movement.
  • Each piston 3 is further associated with a spring element 9, which serves to return the respective piston 3.
  • the piston 3 has, in addition to the section 8 connected to the polygon ring 4, further piston sections 10, 11 and 12.
  • the high-pressure pump 1 then works optimally when each piston 3 is exactly perpendicular to the associated piston plate 6 and is not tilted. Due to the free mobility of the polygon ring 4 in operation, however, such tilting may well occur and can not always be prevented, as it is Fig. 2 shows. For this reason, the portion 8 of the piston 3 mounted in the recess 7 and thus also the recess 7 itself have a larger diameter than the subsequent portion 10 of the piston 3.
  • the diameter of the section 8 depends on the loads to which the high-pressure pump 1 is exposed. Furthermore, created by this enlarged diameter of the section 8, a circumferential projection 13 on which a bracket 14 is supported, which serves as an assembly aid for the Piston plate 6 serves with the piston 3 and in Fig. 1 not shown.
  • the recess 7 facing portion 8 of the piston 3 is provided with a radius 15, which is generally 10 to 50 times the diameter of the section 8. In this way it is achieved that in a possible tilting of the piston 3 relative to the polygon ring 4, the piston 3 returns faster to its normal position, since the restoring force is greater.
  • the radius should be less than 45 times the diameter of section 8 to achieve this effect.
  • the radius 15 is shown greatly enlarged.
  • the diameter of the piston 3 is in a range between 8 - 10 mm and the radius 15 is about 200 mm, so that the radius 15 is approximately 20 to 25 times the diameter of the piston 3, which the practice is very well suited.
  • the radius 15 is also larger.

Description

  • Fig. 1
einen Teil der erfindungsgemäßen Hochdruckpumpe; und
