Definitions
- the invention relates to safety workbenches, in particular to cytostatic workbenches (primarily for the extent with CMR (carcinogenic, mutagenic, reprotoxic) drug of type V ( ⁇ preparation for application) or H ( ⁇ production) or microbiological safety cabinets (primarily for the Handling biological agents (Classes I, II and III).
- cytostatic workbenches primarily for the extent with CMR (carcinogenic, mutagenic, reprotoxic) drug of type V ( ⁇ preparation for application) or H ( ⁇ production) or microbiological safety cabinets (primarily for the Handling biological agents (Classes I, II and III).
- Safety workbenches serve to carry out work with biological, chemical and other agents in the laboratory under the protection of laboratory personnel and the environment from contaminants contained in or contained in the samples could be.
- Safety cabinets have a work surface created by a box accessible from the front is enclosed. The goal is the physical one Separation of the working area from the laboratory space, to this first and the staff to protect against contamination.
- For class I safety workbenches this by a pointing away from the front of the experimenter air flow, the is passed through a filter before leaving the work space.
- In safety workbenches Class II additionally introduces contamination avoided in the working space by placing in the box a low-turbulence displacement airflow is produced.
- a steady filtered airflow comes from above or laterally, is evenly distributed over the cross section of the box and with same speed sucked off again, together with a flow of air, the through the work opening from the front into the box. Usually a filtered partial air flow returned. A filtered exhaust air flow goes to the Surroundings.
- the air currents are generated by a blower, which in the Safety workbench is integrated.
- Class III safety workbenches are full-sided closed and provided with firmly inserted gloves for manipulation. They are under negative pressure.
- Cytostatic workbenches work accordingly, but are specific to one prepared low-contamination filter change. For this they have particular a group of single filter elements that are simpler than a large contiguous one Filter are available.
- wedge filters In known safety workbenches are for filtering the working air from the work space wedge filters are used, which are in a series arrangement below the work surface are located.
- the wedge filters have two substantially planar filter packs, which consists of pleated cellulose or glass fiber paper. Two such Filter packets are held in a V-shaped arrangement in a plastic housing.
- the wedge filter has an opening at the end where the filter packs are furthest Have distance from each other.
- wedge filters are in a vertical or slightly oblique orientation next to each other arranged below the work surface, with working room air in the openings the wedge filter is introduced and as clean air from the outside of the Filter packets emerges.
- the invention is based on the object, with respect to the Cleaning the working room air and ergonomically improved safety workbench to provide.
- the task is performed by a safety workbench with the features of the claim 1 solved.
- Advantageous embodiments of the safety workbench are in the Subclaims specified.
- the cartridge filters have a clear compared to the conventional wedge filters improved freedom from leaks (especially due to reduced or better sealing own sealing areas) and a significantly improved sealing seat on Casing.
- the cartridge filters are covered with significantly more filter surface executable on the volume of construction, as a wedge filter. This makes it possible, about the same Filter surface as in wedge filters in a reduced volume accommodate. As a result, the free space below the work surface, which the experimenter for pushes the legs and feet, much less restricted. Especially it is possible to carry out the filter cartridges with so low height that below the filter cartridges provided a footwell for the experimenter becomes. An increase in the dimensions of the safety cabinet is this not mandatory. As a result, the safety workbench according to the invention compared to the state of the art in terms of filter technology and ergonomics significantly improved.
- the cylindrical filter body is complete and im essential of filter material.
- This is preferably a folded or pleated Material that has the overall shape of a cylinder.
- the cylinder is a circular cylinder.
- the filter material by at least one longitudinal, sealing connection to a Cylinder closed. The connection can be made, for example, by an adhesive be formed or by a cured casting material.
- the filter body is the end by means of an adhesive and / or a cured casting material sealingly fixed to the covers.
- the filter body is in the end in grooves of the Lid inserted.
- it is glued or cast in it.
- the open lid is between the housing and the open lid one each Arranged sealing ring.
- the open lid a molded sealing ring made of foam.
- the cartridge filter by means of an attacking from the outside Clamping device with the edge of its open lid sealing against the Housing pressed.
- Other fasteners and seals are included.
- the open lid has a laterally projecting Edge flange for sealing and / or attachment in the housing.
- the sealing ring between the edge flange and Housing arranged and / or has the edge flange mounting holes for fittings with the case on.
- the cartridge filters are arranged below the work surface to remove contaminants filter out by the shortest route. According to one embodiment, it is the turn Cartridge filter under the edge of the work surface opposite the work opening arranged to allow the experimenter as much legroom as possible.
- a gap below the work surface Preferably limits the area against which the filter cartridges sealed are the gap below.
- the filter cartridges are in a below the Worktop arranged arranged filter housing. Between filter housing and Filter cartridges, the air can be continuously withdrawn from the fan.
- the filter housing ends at a distance above the bottom, so that between the filter housing and the bottom of a legroom for the experimenter is present.
- the housing laterally has two feet, between where the work surface and the filter housing and the entire upper part arranged are.
- the experiment also does not interfere with the feet while working.
- a preferred C-shape of the feet allows the experimenter, even in to engage the foot area.
- the safety cabinet has a housing 1, which comprises two side parts 2, 3, the have feet 4, 5 below.
- a box 6 of the Housing 1 in which a working space 7 is located.
- the working space 7 is below limited by a work surface 8 and is from the front through a working opening. 9 accessible, which is located directly above the work surface 8.
- the work opening 9 has the shape of a narrow rectangle that extends horizontally along the entire work surface 8 extends.
- a gap 10th This is connected by an air outlet 11 with the working space 7 through a plurality of openings in the work surface 8, preferably at the front and rear edge, but are also in the middle area could, is formed.
- the filter bodies 16 are each formed by a pleated filter material, the closed along a longitudinal bond to a cylinder.
- the filter body 16 are potted at the top with a lid 17 having an opening 18, whose Cross section corresponds to the inner cross section of the filter body 16.
- the lid 17 have a laterally projecting edge flange 19.
- the edge flange 19 is located on the Top of the housing surface 13 and is with this not shown screws screwed. Between the edge flange 19 and the housing surface 13 is located a not shown sealing ring made of foam, which is attached to the underside of the edge flange 19 is injected. As a result, the cartridge filter 15 sealing in Housing 1 held.
- the intermediate space 10 is below through a further housing surface 21 sealed, which runs parallel to the work surface 8.
- the filter housing 12 has a short horizontal top Housing surface 22 for sealing against the gap 10th
- Rear are the working space 7 and the gap 10 through a rear wall 23rd limited. Between this and a housing rear wall 24 is a return flow channel 25 present in the upper region 26 of the housing 1 above the working space 7 leads.
- the return flow channel 25 opens into a fan chamber 27.
- the blower 28 When operating the safety cabinet, the blower 28 generates an input side Vacuum, which causes working space air from the working space 7 and Ambient air from the working opening 9 through the air outlet 11 into the intermediate space 10, from there through the cartridge filter 15 filtering through the return flow 25th is deducted. As a result, filtered air, which flows into the return flow channel 25 is free from contamination.
- the exhaust filter 29 and the recirculating air filter 30 behind the Blowers 28 are provided to the in the event of failure of the cartridge filter 15 the required filtering of working air and ambient air (together also To cause "mixed air").
- the experimenter sits in front of the work opening 9, taking his legs and feet comfortably under the working surface 8 and the filter housing 12 can arrange.
- the work surface 8 can easily replace the cartridge filter 15 be removed or opened.
