Definitions
- the invention relates to safety workbenches, in particular to cytostatics workbenches (primarily for the scope with CMR (carcinogenic, mutagenic, toxic for reproduction) drugs of types V ( ⁇ preparation for use) or H ( ⁇ production) or microbiological safety cabinets (primarily for the Handling biological agents (classes I, II and III).
- CMR cancergenic, mutagenic, toxic for reproduction
- microbiological safety cabinets primarily for the Handling biological agents (classes I, II and III).
- Safety cabinets are used to carry out work with biological, chemical and other agents in the laboratory under the protection of laboratory personnel and the environment from contamination contained in or contained in the samples could be.
- Safety cabinets have a work surface that by is enclosed in a box accessible from the front. The goal is physical Separation of the work area from the laboratory room, first around this and the staff to protect against contamination. Class I safety cabinets happen this is due to an air flow directed away from the experimenter at the front is passed through a filter before leaving the work area. In safety cabinets Class II, contamination will also penetrate avoided in the work area by using a low-turbulence displacement air flow in the box is produced.
- Cytostatics workbenches work accordingly, but are special for one Low-contamination filter change prepared. For this they point in particular a group of individual filter elements that are simpler than a large contiguous one Filters are available.
- Known safety cabinets are used for filtering the work space air Wedge filter used in the work area, which are arranged in a row below the work surface.
- the wedge filters have two essentially flat filter packs, which is made of pleated cellulose or fiberglass paper. Two such Filter packs are held in a V-shaped arrangement in a plastic housing.
- the wedge filter has an opening at the end where the filter packets are the farthest Distance from each other.
- wedge filters are next to each other in a vertical or slightly oblique orientation arranged below the work surface, with work space air in the openings the wedge filter is inserted and as clean air from the outside of the Filter packets emerges.
- the wedge filter have a height of approximately 600 mm and a depth of approximately 200 to 300 mm Limit the footwell for the experimenter that exists below the work surface is. This adversely affects the performance of the experimenters out.
- the object of the invention is one in terms of Purification of the work area air and ergonomically improved safety workbench to provide.
- the task is performed by a safety cabinet with the features of the claim 1 solved.
- Advantageous configurations of the safety workbench are in the Subclaims specified.
- the cartridge filters have a clear comparison with the conventional wedge filters improved freedom from leaks (especially due to reduced or better own sealing areas) and a significantly improved sealing fit on Casing.
- the cartridge filters are covered with a significantly larger filter area Executable on the construction volume, as a wedge filter. This makes it possible to roughly the same To accommodate the filter surface in a reduced volume as with wedge filters. This creates the space below the work surface that the experimenter for pushing the legs and feet in is much less restricted. In particular it is possible to run the filter cartridges so low that below the filter cartridges are provided with a footwell for the experimenter becomes. This is an increase in the dimensions of the safety cabinet not mandatory. As a result, the safety cabinet according to the invention compared to the state of the art in terms of filter technology and ergonomics significantly improved.
- the cylindrical filter body consists completely and in essentially from filter material.
- This is preferably a folded or pleated one Material that is in the shape of a cylinder overall.
- the cylinder is a circular cylinder.
- the filter material by at least one longitudinal, sealing connection to one Cylinder closed.
- the connection can, for example, by an adhesive be formed or by a hardened casting material.
- the filter body is at the end by means of an adhesive and / or a hardened casting material sealingly fixed to the lids.
- the filter body is in the grooves in the end Lid inserted. It is advantageously glued or cast into it.
- the open lid an injection molded sealing ring made of foam.
- the cartridge filter can be attacked from the outside Clamping device with the edge of its open lid sealing against it Housing pressed.
- Other fastenings and seals are also included.
- the open lid has a laterally protruding one Edge flange for sealing and / or fastening in the housing.
- the sealing ring is between the edge flange and Arranged housing and / or the edge flange has mounting holes for screw connections with the case on.
- the cartridge filters are located below the work surface to prevent contamination to filter on the shortest route.
- the row is Cartridge filter under the edge of the work surface opposite the work opening arranged to give the experimenter as much legroom as possible.
- the axes of the filter cartridges are inclined to the vertical, with the upper lid being less lateral Distance from the working opening than the lower lid.
- the cartridge filters are designed with respect to one inclined to the horizontal age Surface of the housing sealed to the cartridge filter at an angle to the vertical align.
- the open covers are arranged at the top and opposite one another sealed the housing so that the work space air and / or ambient air enters the filter cartridges through the cover openings and on the outside of the Filter body is pulled off the fan.
- the space below the work surface which is connected to the air outlet and one side of the filter cartridges is.
- the area against which the filter cartridges are sealed preferably delimits are, the space below.
- the filter cartridges are in a below the Working area arranged filter housing arranged. Between filter housing and Filter cartridges allow the air to be drawn continuously from the blower.
- the filter housing essentially has one wedge-shaped cross-section to provide a particularly large leg space.
- the filter housing ends at a distance above the floor, so that a leg room for between the filter housing and floor the experimenter is present.
- the housing has two feet on the side, between which arranged the work surface and the filter housing and the entire upper part are.
- the experimenter is not hindered at work by the feet either.
- a preferred C-shape of the feet allows the experimenter, even in indent the foot area.
- the safety workbench has a housing 1 which comprises two side parts 2, 3 which have feet 4, 5 below.
