Definitions
- the invention relates to a process for dyeing a textile of natural fibers or predominantly natural fiber content by means of disperse dyes. Furthermore, it relates to a substrate made of a textile as natural fibers or predominantly natural fiber content with a color imprint or a coloring of disperse dye.
- the invention has for its object to provide a method for dyeing substrates from a textile of natural fibers or with predominantly natural fiber content available.
- a substrate of a textile (woven, knitted, knitted or the like) is taught in the claims 10 to 13.
- a process for dyeing substrates from a textile of natural fibers or with predominantly natural fiber content in which first the substrate surface is coated with an aqueous dispersion of self-crosslinking polymers. Subsequently, the dispersion applied to the substrate is dried, especially at elevated temperature. Then the self-crosslinking polymers also cure at elevated temperature. Thereafter, the disperse dye can be applied to the coated substrate surface. By coating the textured surface of the fabric or fabric is leveled, the surface properties remain essentially unchanged.
- the applied with the disperse substrate surface color printing with disperse dye is characterized by its high resolution and line accuracy.
- a further coating of an aqueous dispersion of self-crosslinking polymers is applied to the substrate, thereby simultaneously providing a protective layer for color printing.
- Another advantage is the low dye consumption.
- Another environmentally positive aspect is that the dispersion is an aqueous system and thus biodegradable.
- the aqueous dispersion can also be combined with other aqueous systems.
- the inventive method has the further advantage that the natural surface of the fabric, knitted or knitted textile of natural fibers or with predominantly natural fiber content is retained, the dispersion does not form a tangible plastic-like film and accordingly also the grain, character and color of the fabric (in a transparent dispersion) are not affected.
- the dispersion is also completely solvent-free, requires only a low drying temperature and a short drying time, so that a rapid further processing of the woven or knitted fabric is possible.
- anthraquinone derivatives or quinolines can be used as disperse dyes anthraquinones. These groups have the advantage that they contain neither halogens nor amines and are therefore not carcinogenic or hazardous to health, which is particularly important for textiles that are processed into clothing, is extremely important.
- chemical and / or physical additives such as e.g. Defoamers, fillers, etc. may be added to improve the processability of the dispersion, to increase the quality of the dye application or to deliberately alter the tissue or knit surface.
- the substrate can be immersed in the dispersion.
- the aqueous dispersion is sprayed onto the substrate or applied with a brush.
- the drying process of the aqueous dispersion applied to the substrate may preferably take place at 100 ° C. to 150 ° C., in particular at about 130 ° C.
- the required for the drying, relatively low temperatures are therefore associated with low energy consumption.
- Drying at the abovementioned elevated temperatures of the aqueous dispersion applied to the substrate takes about 10 to 60 minutes, in particular about 30 minutes. After this drying time, the coated fabrics can already be stacked on top of each other.
- curing of the self-crosslinking polymers can take place at about 170 ° C. for about 1 minute, so that a permanent completely cured coating is created.
- the applied disperse dye may preferably be dried at about 130 ° C for about 1 minute.
- the substrate of the invention of a textile made of natural fibers or predominantly natural fiber content is characterized by a coating of an aqueous dispersion of self-crosslinking polymers, to which a color printing or a color painting of disperse dye is applied.
- the coating leads to a leveling of the fabric or fabric surface, so that a high-quality color printing is achieved with disperse dyes.
- a further coating of an aqueous dispersion of self-crosslinking polymers is provided, which represents an additional protective function of the fabric surface or of the color print.
- the disperse dye may consist essentially of anthraquinones, anthraquinone derivatives or quinolines and is therefore not associated with carcinogenic hazards due to halogens or amines.
- the color printing or the color painting is characterized by a high resolution, line precision and exact color gradients.
- the coating is transparent, so that the coloring takes place only by the disperse dye and no color change of the disperse dye takes place.
- the coating may be mixed with chemical or physical additives to modify the fabric surface or to optimize the coating in its function as a protective layer.
- the substrate made of woven or knitted fabric represents a natural fiber fabric of wool, cotton, silk, linen or the like, which is to be dyed with disperse dyes.
- the substrate surface is coated with an aqueous dispersion of self-crosslinking polymers.
- the coating leads to a leveling of the usually textured fabric surface.
- the coating is dried at about 130 ° C for about 30 minutes.
- the self-crosslinking polymers are cured at about 170 ° C, so that a stable coating is created as a basis for the subsequent color imprint.
- the color is printed with a disperse dye from the group of anthraquinone derivatives on the coated substrate surface.
- the anthraquinone derivatives are free of halogens and amines, therefore not carcinogenic and ensure in conjunction with the previously applied coating a high quality color print in terms of color and light fastness and resolution and line accuracy.
- the applied disperse dye dries at about 130 ° C. out.
- anthraquinone derivatives which likewise do not contain any halogens or amines and are therefore not harmful to health, can be used as disperse dyes.
- the dispersion Prior to coating, chemical and / or physical additives such as defoamers, fillers and the like can be added to the dispersion.
- the dispersion can be thickened with thickeners and thus adjusted for the brush or doctor blade application.
- the textile substrate may also simply be immersed in the dispersion.
- a further coating of an aqueous dispersion of self-crosslinking polymers is applied to the substrate, which is a protective layer for the applied color printing.
- the disperse dye may also be made by a manual brush application.

Description
