Description

  • La présente invention concerne un navire de croisière ou de loisirs de grande largeur. Ce navire possède un espace public central ouvert ou semi-ouvert bordé par des superstructures longitudinales. On entend ici par espace public un espace composé de une ou plusieurs zones dédiées principalement à l'usage des passagers.
  • Les navires destinés aux loisirs sont traditionnellement des monocoques composés de ponts dont la largeur est identique ou proche de la largeur du navire à la flottaison. Les espaces publics extérieurs sont généralement situés sur le pont supérieur. Certains concepts innovants de navire ont été développés pour répondre à une demande toujours croissante d'augmenter le nombre cabines et de locaux donnant sur l'extérieur. Ainsi, certains concepts de navire possèdent un espace public principal longitudinal de grandes dimensions situé sur un pont inférieur, espace bordé de superstructures longitudinales verticales bâbord et tribord où sont logés des cabines ou d'autres locaux. Ces concepts de navire ont une largeur trop faible pour obtenir une distance suffisante entre les superstructures longitudinales : la coupe transversale en forme proche du U de ces concepts de navire ne permet pas d'obtenir un volume d'air au-dessus de l'espace public principal suffisamment large pour que l'espace public et les cabines et locaux donnant sur l'espace public soient conviviaux, agréables et suffisamment ensoleillés. Elargir entièrement le navire n'est pas viable, principalement pour des raisons d'inconfort au roulis et de surcoûts de construction et d'exploitation.
  • GB-A-2 083 415 décrit une embarcation qui fait office d'hôtel flottant. Sa coque porte des superstructures décalées sur toute leur circonférence en direction de leur centre, à la manière d'une pyramide à degrés.
  • US-A- 4 046 092 se rapporte à un navire dont la partie de la coque qui s'élève au dessus de la ligne de flottaison va en s'écrasant. La largeur de la superstructure la plus basse est égale à celle de la coque. Quant aux autres superstructures, elles sont "empilées" les unes sur les autres, d'une manière similaire à celle décrite dans le document précité.
  • Le document GB-A-1 297 245 , qui comporte les caractéristiques du préamble de la revendication indépendante 1, décrit une embarcation qui consiste en un hôtel flottant. Elle comprend un espace libre central qui peut être dépourvu de fond, de manière à constituer une piscine d'eau de mer.
  • Le document FR-A-2 478 017 se rapporte à un complexe flottant dont la forme s'apparente à celle d'une coque de bateau. Cette coque abrite des équipements dont au moins une piscine bordée de plagettes à structure en gradins.
  • Le type de navire selon cette invention permet de répondre aux demandes d'espaces extérieurs nombreux et conviviaux tout en répondant aux exigences de confort et de sécurité. Il comporte un espace public principal de grandes dimensions situé sur un pont inférieur, espace bordé de superstructures longitudinales bâbord et tribord. Les oeuvres vives du navire sont de proportions classiques, adaptées aux exigences de confort, de stabilité et de résistances à l'avancement. La coupe transversale du navire a une forme proche du V, les superstructures longitudinales possédant une inclinaison transversale d'ensemble. Cette inclinaison d'ensemble donne à l'espace public principal situé au pied des superstructures longitudinales un meilleur ensoleillement et crée un esprit de gradins de stade. En cas d'envahissement, la forme d'ensemble du navire entraîne une augmentation de la largeur à la flottaison lorsque le navire s'enfonce et améliore ainsi sensiblement la stabilité du navire, celle-ci dépendant directement de l'inertie transversale de flottaison. De plus, cette forme d'ensemble, en éloignant les masses de l'axe longitudinal, augmente la période de roulis du navire et améliore ainsi le confort du passager.
  • Les dessins annexés illustrent l'invention :
    • La figure 1 représente en coupe transversale le principe de l'invention.
    • La figure 2 représente en coupe transversale une variante de ce principe.
  • En référence à ces dessins, le navire comporte une structure principale (1) dont la part située sous le niveau de flottaison (2) constitue les oeuvres vives. Les proportions des oeuvres vives sont classiques, adaptées aux exigences de confort, de stabilité et de résistances à l'avancement. Un espace public principal ouvert ou semi-ouvert de grandes dimensions (4) est situé sur la structure principale (1). Le navire comporte des superstructures bâbord et tribord longitudinales (3) qui s'élèvent avec une inclinaison transversale d'ensemble. Cette inclinaison doit être telle qu'elle augmente l'ensoleillement de l'espace public principal inférieur (4) et qu'elle augmente sensiblement la largeur totale du navire au-dessus de la flottaison. Le rapport de la largeur du navire (5) sur la largeur à la flottaison (6) peut varier de 1,3 à 3, l'angle d'ouverture moyen de la façade interne (7) pouvant varier de 15 degrés à 60 degrés.
  • Le navire peut être fabriqué avec les matériaux et équipements couramment utilisés dans la construction de navires de croisière.
  • A titre d'exemple non limitatif, le navire peut avoir une largeur à la flottaison de 32 mètres et une largeur hors tout de 58 mètres, pour une longueur hors tout de 250 mètres. Les superstructures longitudinales et l'espace public principal peuvent s'étendre sur les 3 quarts arrières du navire, le quart avant étant constitué d'une zone pleine toute largeur dédiée à des espaces publics et à la timonerie. La partie arrière de cette zone pleine qui liaisonne les superstructures longitudinales bâbord et tribord peut être constituée de gradins qui créent la forme d'ensemble d'un amphithéâtre. L'arrière du navire peut être aménagé en marina.
  • Le navire selon l'invention est particulièrement destiné à la croisière.

Claims (5)

  1. Navire de croisière ou de loisirs comportant une structure principale (1) dont la part située sous le niveau de flottaison (2) constitue des oeuvres vives de proportions classiques, et un espace public principal (4) situé sur la structure principale (1) bordé de superstructures longitudinales bâbord et tribord (3), caractérisé par le fait que ces superstructures (3) possèdent une inclinaison transversale d'ensemble telle qu'elle augmente l'ensoleillement de l'espace public principal (4) et qu'elle augmente sensiblement la largeur du navire au-dessus de la flottaison (2).
  2. Navire selon la revendication 1 caractérisé en ce que le rapport de la largeur du navire (5) sur la largeur (6) à la flottaison (2) est compris entre 1,3 est 3.
  3. Navire selon l'une des revendications 1 et 2, caractérisé en ce que l'angle d'ouverture moyen de la façade interne (7) des superstructures (3) est compris entre 15 degrés et 60 degrés.
  4. Navire selon l'une des revendications précédentes, caractérisé par le fait que ledit espace public principal (4) est ouvert.
  5. Navire selon l'une des revendications précédentes, caractérisé par le fait que ledit espace public principal (4) est semi-ouvert.
