Abstract

Zum Erkennen der Lage von Schwellen 5 in einem Gleis 7 ist eine berührungslos wirkende Abtasteinrichtung 13 in Verbindung mit einer Wegmesseinheit 14 zur Erfassung eines von einer Maschine zurückgelegten Weges s vorgesehen. Die Abtasteinrichtung 13 ist als Distanzmesser 16 zur berührungslosen Erfassung von vertikalen Distanzmeßwerten d zwischen Maschine und Gleis ausgebildet. Eine mit dem Distanzmesser 16 verbundene Steuereinheit ist für eine fortlaufende und aufeinanderfolgende Unterteilung der wegabhängigen Meßstrecke jeweils in einen lediglich geringfügig voneinander abweichende Distanzmeßwerte d umfassenden Schwellenerkennungsabschnitt X und einen daran anschließenden, einem zwischen den Schwellen 5 liegenden Schotterbereich zugeordneten Schottererkennungsabschnitt Y ausgebildet. Dieser weist eine Folge von sprunghaft veränderten Distanzmeßwerten d auf. Durch das Erkennen der Schwellenlage ist eine automatische Zentrierung eines Stopfaggregates durchführbar.
