Definitions
- the invention relates to a method for conveying sheets in a feeder of a sheet-processing printing machine, wherein the feeder is equipped with at least one conveyor belt, which conveys a preferably scaly sequence of sheets in the area between a sheet stack and the first printing unit of the machine.
- From the feeder of a sheet-fed printing machine depends very much on the trouble-free continuous production. The investor thus also influences the consistency of the quality of a run, because only when the machine prints without a stop, a uniform color guide is possible.
- the job of the feeder is to separate the sheets exactly stacked on a pallet and then feed them over the feed table of the machine.
- Today, two systems of investors are found for sheetfed presses, namely single-sheet feeders and shingled-sheet feeders (shed or squid feeders).
- the single sheet After aligning the single sheet is taken by gripper in the printing unit and this accelerated to print speed. In machines producing 15,000 sheets per hour in 70 cm by 100 cm format, the sheet is moved at a speed of about 3.5 m per second.
- the sheets do not beat at the transport speed against the front investment mark but arrive there at low speed.
- the speeds of the print engine drive and the feeder have been decoupled from each other. This makes it possible to set up a so-called speed profile on the conveyor belt of the investor.
- the sheets are accelerated in the course of the transport route and then delayed again in the area of the front investment mark, so that they arrive at the front-end at low speed.
- the ability to control the drive of the investor regardless of the speed of the printing unit is used in DE-PS 19639134 to control the speed profile of the investor when starting or restarting the Fort horrs.
- the speed of the investor is started up according to a predetermined program.
- the feed of the sheets is started in a time delay before the printing unit goes to print.
- the raising of the speed of the investor takes place in the form of a ramp, so that the speed of the conveyor belt of the investor increases linearly.
- the measure described is only helpful if the double sheet is detected at a great distance from the front stop of the investor. In many cases, however, occur in circumstances in which the printing unit and the investor must be shut down immediately, such as when a sufficiently large error has occurred in the printing unit, in which can not be expected to shut down without causing much damage. In these cases, it is customary to stop the printing press with the investor more or less abruptly to avoid further damage.
- the advantage of this measure is that the press and the feeder are stopped in a very short time after detection of the error. However, the stopping of the investor often happens so jerky that the holding force of the conveyor belt of the feeder table is no longer sufficient to hold the bow on it safely.
- the invention is therefore based on a method of the resulting from the preamble of the main claim genus.
- the object of the invention is to describe a method by which when suddenly stopping the printing unit a very fast Stopping the investor is possible, it should be ensured that, in particular in scaly arranged bow these do not move against each other on the investment table and thus the investor can be approached later without further, without one or more sheets must be cleared from the investor.
- the invention is in principle to separate the power stroke of the printing press in case of an emergency from the working clock of the investor.
- the printing unit which is usually to be protected by the shutdown so abruptly stopped while the feeder is stopped at an optimized speed.
- the stop of the investor is done according to an acceleration profile, through which the investor comes to a standstill in no time, without the sheets slip on the investment table.
- the course of the acceleration profile to be selected depends both on the material of the sheet present on the feed table and on the moment at which the command for stopping is given.
- two strategies can be pursued. On the one hand, a single profile can be determined, in which sheets of a certain material and a certain size regularly come to a standstill. This method is comparatively easy to calculate and to set up the necessary control.
- the other strategy is to determine the maximum path available for negative acceleration of the arcs and then calculate the acceleration profile.
- This method has the advantage that the path available for the deceleration is optimally utilized and that the arches always remain in the same position after the stopping process, so that the later start-up procedure is facilitated.
- the two processes can be carried out successively in the same direction of movement.
- the stop command can occur at a time when the bows can just be stopped without slipping. However, they can then be in a position in which they must be accelerated jerkily when starting to adapt to the power stroke of the subsequent printing unit.
- the investor is retrained in a further development of the invention to a predetermined return path to a starting position and approached from the position reached in a predetermined acceleration profile.
- the first Beministerunsprofil for the stop and possibly the second acceleration profile for the start of the investor is determined at the beginning of the stop or startup and then the investor accordingly delays or accelerates the determined Beministerunsprofil, wherein the angular position refers to the frequency of the repetitive sequence of steps of the investor.
- the angular position refers to the frequency of the repetitive sequence of steps of the investor.
- the sheets can be moved forwards (when stopping or starting) or backwards, without hindrance occurring in the operation of the feeder and without losing one or more sheets.
- the optimal acceleration profile or deceleration profile can then be determined via the route determined in this way.
- the aim is to set the profile of the negative acceleration (deceleration) in such a way that the sheet leading to it later during start-up stops as far as possible at or before a holding device when stopping. This is to ensure that this sheet does not strike against the holding device and possibly bounces back or is damaged.
- the leading at startup sheet will usually be when stopping behind the front mark located on the second sheet on the feeder, as the foremost when stopping Sheet is pulled out of its located at the front position position in the printing unit by separate from the conveyor belt working gripper. Accordingly, it is recommended that the delay profile of the feeder be determined such that the second arc following the leading first arc reaches the minimum of its movement speed before or on a holding device.
- the holding device may be formed by the stop fingers of the investor, which act in a stop command in action and hold the bow located on the front mark in its position so that it can be picked up immediately by the grippers of the printing unit when starting.
- the stop finger or the stopper fingers are usually about 3 cm before the stop arranged fingers, which are lowered only when the stop command and put on the foremost sheet. Accordingly, when stopping the sheet arranged in a scale, care must be taken that the second sheet following the leading sheet is not pushed too far under the firmly held foremost sheet against the stop finger.
- the return can be directly connected to the process of stopping or be performed immediately before starting. Since there is usually a greater period of time between stopping under starting, it will be particularly recommendable to initiate the process of driving back immediately after stopping. In case of emergency stop, however, the investor after reaching the speed 0 should initially perform no further movement, here it would be advisable to initiate the reverse drive immediately to the next start command.
- FIG. 1 shows a printing unit 1 with a drive 2 assigned to the printing unit 1, which is controlled or regulated by an electronic control unit 3 belonging to the printing unit.
- Figure 1 right adjoins the printing unit 1 a feeder 4, which has a plurality of drives 5, 8. Both the drive 5 for a suction belt 6 and the drive 8 for a suction head 7 are controlled or regulated by a control unit 10 associated with the feeder 4.
- a scale 11 of paper sheet 12 On the suction belt 6 is a scale 11 of paper sheet 12, which is transported in the transport direction according to the direction of the arrow r.
- the suction belt 6 runs over 2 deflecting rollers 13, 14 of which, as explained, the suction belt drive 5 acts on the deflection roller 14 located in the region of a paper stack 20.
- the suction head 7 is provided with a drag sucker 15 and a lifting sucker 17, which perform certain operations of the investor in a given cycle.
- a clock roller is provided, which is not shown in Figure 1. This clock roller is cyclically pressed down on the suction belt 6 in the amount of the drive roller 14 to transport a raised to the feeder table 19 sheet 12 by means of the belt 6 in the region of suction chambers 18, over which the sheet 12 is held on the suction belt.
- the way the investor works can be roughly described as follows.
- the uppermost, located on the stack 20 bow is lifted at its rear edge of the lifting sucker 17 and separated by other measures not to be described.
- the lifted sheet takes over the Schleppsauger 15 and transported him in Figure 1 after left in the direction of a feeder table 19.
- the portion of the raised bow located in the direction r remains below the bow already on the table in front of him and is pushed a little way under this arc.
- the newly added sheet is pushed over about half a width of a sheet under the previous sheet so that on the illustrated feeder 4 over a width of a sheet two sheets are transported.
- the sheets can also be pushed even closer together, so that about three sheets can be transported across a width of a sheet on a feeder.
- the printing unit 1 is indicated, followed by the investor in 19 to the right in Figure 2. From the feeder table 19, only the printing unit 1 facing portion is shown in Figure 2. Indicated by dashed lines, the suction belt 6 can be seen, on which lie two paper sheets 16, 21, which are partially pushed one below the other. The leading and leading in Figure 2 sheet 21 is located with its left edge on the front lays 22, 23, while the rear sheet 16 is approximately half its width below the front sheet 21. In FIG. 2, two stop fingers 25, 26 are furthermore indicated, which, in the case of a stop command, travel downward perpendicular to the viewing plane of FIG. 2 and hold the leading sheet 21.
- the printing unit 1 and the feeder 4 are stationary, the feeder table 19 is empty and it is sucked by the Hubsauger 17 and the Schleppsauger 15 no bow.
- the press is turned on and accelerates to a ground speed. After reaching the ground speed of the feeder 4 is switched on.
- the suction air to the lifting sucker 17 and the Schleppsauger 15 is switched on.
- Now 7 sheets are lifted from the paper stack 20 and transported in the direction of the suction belt 6 by connecting the suction air to the suction head.
- the lifting sucker or hoists 17 lift an arc 12, transfer it to the tractor sucker 15 and the towed sucker transport it to the left to the feeder table 19 in FIGS. 1 and 2.
- the bow 12 is moved to the left by the towed sucker 15 10 cm to 15 cm) that the beginning of the sheet is between a paper feed roller and the control roller.
- the paper feed roller is driven by the suction belt 6 or the suction belt passes over this roller 14.
- the not shown Taktrolle and the Schleppsauger 15 of the suction head 7 leaves the sheet 12 by switching off the negative pressure on.
- the speed of the drag sucker 15 is as great as the speed of the paper feed roller.
- the bow is now between the take-off roller and the feed roller for the paper and is transported by these two components on a portion of the suction belt, which is above the suction chambers 18 and thus holds the sheet.
- the clock roller may only open again when the sheet 12 is held securely on the suction belt 6, which can be done either by vacuum on the Saugkammem 18 or by rollers that are on the tape.
- the scale is formed from the paper sheet. Thereafter, the clock roller opens and the subsequent sheet passes under the first sheet lying in front between the control roller and the roller for the paper feeder.
- the length of the scale which is described as the distance of the leading edge of the first sheet to the leading edge of the following sheet, is dependent on the average speed of the suction belt 6.
- the suction belt 6 transports the sheet 12 via the feeder table 19 to the front mark 22, 23.
- the arrival of the sheet 12 at the front mark 22, 23 occurs about the same time at which the clock roller closes to another arc from the suction head 8 on the Take over suction belt 6.
- the sheet is stopped by the front mark 22, 23.
- the bow now has the speed 0 and it has time for a certain period of time to calm down.
- the sheet is aligned by the drawing marks (not shown in the drawing).
- the pre-gripper of the printing unit pivots to the leading edge of the sheet and takes this.
- the front mark pivots downwards and the sheet is now pulled by the (not shown) gripper of the printing unit in the printing unit 1.
- the front-line swings up again and can stop the next incoming sheet.
- the feeder 4 can be stopped at any time by an error (eg emergency stop) or deliberately (eg "feeder off”).
- an error eg emergency stop
- deliberately eg "feeder off”
- a stop is at a certain machine angle, as already explained above, a holding device (usually two stop fingers, which are located about 3 cm in front of the front), pressed from the top of the straight lying on the leading edge bow to this hold.
- the investor, d. H. in particular the suction belt, is delayed and the subsequent sheet is pushed even further under the lying on the front sheet bow.
- the investor is z. B. by pressing the button "feeder off” or emergency stop.
- the printing unit is restarted or is still rotating at any speed.
- you would have to synchronize only a distance of 30 millimeters to the feeder or the subsequent sheet on the speed of the press.
- the path available for accelerating the sheets can be increased.
- the investor can only be turned back to a limited extent. The restrictions are designed to prevent following unwanted states occur.
- the feeder may only be turned back to the point where it is shortly before the work step, at which the control roller opens. If it is pushed further backward, the arc under the control roller is lost and a gap can be created.
- the bow can not be pushed back so far that the (the bow located on the front plate subsequent) bow releases the suction belt and the overlying arch d. H. the bow under the stopper fingers) is caught by the suction belt and torn out from under the stopper fingers. Finally, it must also be prevented that the tow sucker drops the bow hanging on it, as the feeder is turned back too far.
- the investor has moved back and is starting up again.
- the stop fingers are withdrawn again and the previously located under the stop fingers on the front mark sheet is fed into the printing unit.
- the feeder can be synchronized again with the printing unit, wherein the maximum acceleration path (see in Fig. 2) is utilized.
- the next sheet is again guided to the leading edge and the suction head passes at this time again a bow to the suction belt.
- the scale flow is restored and there is no gap.
- Figures 3 to 6 show a possible course of the speed of the suction belt 6 as a function of time.
- the tape runs at time t0 at a speed A, in which case at time t1 a stop command appears, by which the feeder is to be stopped in as short a time as possible.
- FIG. 3 shows, according to the course a of the constant velocity A, a linearly decreasing velocity b which drops from the value A to 0.
- the speed 0 is reached. It is then assumed that at the time t3 of the investor to be restarted, which by a linear increase in the speed v along the curve c can be done.
- the working speed of the suction belt and the feeder is then reached again, so that it moves along the curve e at the speed A.
- the period between t2 and t3 may be relatively long, depending on when the start command (time t3) is given.
- FIG. 4 shows a course of the speed deviating somewhat from FIG.
- the main difference is that after the stop command at time t1 the speed does not decrease linearly but the transitions from the constant speed corresponding to the curve a to the curve b is rounded to a continuously decreasing speed according to a second or higher order function.
- the jerk the division of the acceleration
- the speed profile is back limited. This suddenly and undefined forces acting on the bow are avoided, which greatly reduces the risk of slipping.
- the course from time t0 to t2 is as in FIG. 1.
- the feeder and thus the suction belt are stationary.
- the essential difference is that, from time t3, the sheets are shifted backwards at a growing speed counter to the previous direction of movement and then run backwards at a constant speed B between t4 and t5. Between t5 and t6, the speed of the movement then decreases back to 0. From this point on, the sequence of the sheets on the feeder is then accelerated again as in FIG. 1, except that the starting position during startup is somewhat behind the starting position of FIG. 3 due to the backward movement.
- the duration between times t2 and t3 depends on when, after stopping the arc, the start command is given.
- the feeder immediately after its stop at time t2 begins its movement backwards, ie reverses its direction of movement immediately after stopping and decays with increasing speed moved behind.
- the movement is then completed to the rear and the investor stands still, the bow having a relation to Figure 3 shifted to the rear starting position.
- the feeder begins to move again in its normal direction of movement, as shown in FIG.
- curve courses according to FIG. 4 can be combined with those according to FIGS. 5 and 6, so that accelerations increasing even in FIGS. 5 and 6 are not obtained.
