Die acetoacetylierten Di- und Polyamine sind Verbindungen der Formel (I), worin R<1> und R<2> unabhängig voneinander Wasserstoff oder C1-6-Alkyl bedeuten und A C3-8-Cycloalkandiyl ist oder eine Gruppe der Formel (II): -(CR<3>R<4>)p-[NR-(CR<5>R<6>)q]r-, bedeutet.
Description
Acetoacetylierte Di- und Polyamine
Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft neue acetoacetylierte Di- und Polyamine sowie ein
Verfahren zu deren Herstellung.
Die Umsetzung von primären aliphatischen Diaminen der Formel NH2-(CH2)„-NH2 mit
Diketen zu N,N-Bis(acetoacetyl)polymethylendiaminen wird in folgenden Dokumenten beschrieben:

Die genannte Literatur enthält keinen Hinweis auf die Umsetzung von Cycloalkandiaminen, aliphatischen Diaminen mit verzweigten Alkylengruppen oder von aliphatischen Polyaminen.
Aufgabe der vorliegenden Erfindung war es, neue acetoacetylierte Di- und Polyamine bereitzustellen.
Erfϊndungsgemäss wird diese Aufgabe durch die acetoacetylierten Di- und Polyamine nach Patentanspruch 1 gelöst.
Die neuen Verbindungen besitzen die allgemeine Formel

Die Reste R1 und R2 sind vorzugsweise Wasserstoff.
Unter C^-Alkyl sind hier und im folgenden alle linearen oder verzweigten Alkylgruppen mit 1-6 Kohlenstoffatomen zu verstehen, wie beispielsweise Methyl, Ethyl, Propyl, Isopropyl, Butyl, Isobutyl, j-ec-Butyl, tert-Butyl, Pentyl, Isopentyl, tert-Pentyl, Neopentyl, Hexyl oder Isohexyl.
Der Ausdruck „C3_8-Cycloalkandiyl" umfasst beispielsweise Cyclopropan-l,2-diyl, Cyclo- butan-l,2-diyl, Cyclopentan-l,2-diyl, Cyclopentan-l,3-diyl, Cyclohexan-l,2-diyl, Cyclo- hexan-l,3-diyl, Cyclohexan-l,4-diyl, Cycloheptan-l,2-diyl, Cycloheptan-l,3-diyl, Cyclo- heptan-l,4-diyl, Cyclooctan-l,2-diyl, Cyclooctan-l,3-diyl, Cyclooctan-l,4-diyl. Bevorzugt ist Cyclohexan-l,2-diyl.
Der Ausdruck „bei jedem Auftreten gleich oder verschieden sind und unabhängig voneinander Wasserstoff, C^-Alkyl oder -(CH2)„-NRR7 bedeuten" umfasst Gruppen der Formel II wobei R3, R4, R5 und R6 entweder bei jedem Auftreten gleich sind und unabhängig voneinander Wasserstoff, C-^-Alkyl oder -(CH2)„-NRR7, vorzugsweise aber Wasserstoff bedeuten oder nicht bei jedem Auftreten dieselbe Bedeutung haben und unabhängig voneinander ein- oder mehrmals C^-Alkyl oder -(CH2)„-NRR7 und die verbleibenden Male Wasserstoff bedeuten.

Eine Gruppe der Formel II, worin r = 0 ist und R3 und R4 nicht bei jedem Auftreten dieselbe Bedeutung haben und unabhängig voneinander einmal -(CH2)„-NRR7 und die verbleibenden , Male Wasserstoff bedeuten, ist beispielsweise 3-Oxobutanoylaminomethyl.
Die Verbindungen der Formel I werden durch Umsetzung von Diketen mit Di- oder Polyaminen der Formel
R'HN-A'-NHR2 (III) erhalten, worin
R1 und R2 die oben angegebene Bedeutung haben und
A' C3.8-Cycloalkandiyl oder eine Gruppe der Formel
bedeutet, worin p, q und r die oben angegebene Bedeutung haben und
R8, R9, R10 und R1 ' bei jedem Auftreten gleich oder verschieden sind und unabhängig voneinander Wasserstoff, C^-Alkyl oder -(CH2)„-NHR7 bedeuten;
n und R7 die oben angegebene Bedeutung haben; mit der Massgabe, dass für r = 0 mindestens einer der Reste R8 oder R9 C^-Alkyl oder -(CH2)„-NHR7 bedeutet; wobei die Umsetzung derart durchgeführt wird, dass pro Amino-, C^-Alkylamino- oder Imino- gruppe ein Äquivalent Diketen eingesetzt wird.
Bevorzugte Diamine der Formel III sind:
Cyclohexan-l,2-diamin, Pentan-l,3-diamin, 2-Methylpentan-l,5-diamin, 4-(Aminomethyι)- octan-l,8-diamin, Diethylentriamin, Dipropylentriamin, Dihexylentriamin, Dioctylentriamin, N-(3-Aminopropyl)-l ,4-diamiobutan (Spermidin), Triethylentetraamin, NN-Bis(2-amino- ethyl)- 1 ,3 -propandiamin.
Die Diamine der Formel III sind im Handel erhältlich (z. B. 2-Methyl-pentan-l,5-diamin oder Pentan-l,3-diamin) oder können nach bekannten Methoden, z. B. durch Umsetzung von 3-Pentennitril mit HCΝ und anschliessende Hydrierung (2-Methyl-pentan-l,5-diamin) bzw. durch Umsetzung von 2-Pentennitril mit Ammoniak und anschliessende Hydrierung (Pentan- 1,3-diamin) hergestellt werden.
Die Polyamine der Formel III sind ebenfalls im Handel erhältlich (z. B. Diethylentriamin, Di- hexylentriamin, Dioctylentriamin, Spermidin, Triethylentetraamin) oder können beispielsweise durch Umsetzung von Ethylendiamin mit Aziridin (—> Diethylentriamin), durch Kondensation des entsprechenden Diamines in Gegenwart eines Katalysators (→ Dihexylentriamin, Dioctylentriamin) sowie durch Behandlung von 1,2-Dichlorethan mit Ammoniak (→ Diethylentriamin und Triethylentetraamin) hergestellt werden.
C3_8-Cycloalkandiamine sind im Handel erhältlich (z. B. Cyclohexan-l,2-diamin) oder können durch Reduktion des entsprechenden Dioxims sowie durch Curtius- (bzw. Hoffmann-) Abbau des entsprechenden Disäureazides (bzw. Diamides) hergestellt werden.
Die Umsetzung von Di- oder Polyaminen mit Diketen erfolgt vorteilhaft bei Temperaturen von 0-150 °C, vorzugsweise bei 25-35 °C.
Zweckmässigerweise wird das Di- oder Polyamin in einem geeigneten Lösungsmittel gelöst. Das gelöste Di- oder Polyamin sowie Diketen werden beispielsweise simultan in vorgelegtes Lösungsmittel gegeben.
Geeignete Lösungsmittel sind insbesondere: Wasser;
Ketone wie z. B. Aceton;
Ether wie z. B. Diethy lether, 1,4-Dioxan, Tetrahydrofuran; chlorierte aliphatische Kohlenwasserstoffe wie z. B. Dichlormethan und 1,2-Dichlorethan; aromatische Kohlenwasserstoffe wie z. B. Toluol und Xylol.
Die neuen Verbindungen eignen sich als Zusatzstoffe für Bindemittel, die bei der Herstellung von wasserbasierten und wasserverdünnbaren Farben, Lacken und Klebstoffen, sowie in lösungsmittelbasierten Farben, Lacken und Klebstoffen eingesetzt werden. Die Verbindungen der Formel I sind hydrolysestabil, dienen der Verbesserung der Haftung und können ausserdem zur Nachvernetzung, beispielsweise mit Polyaminen, Epoxiden, Isocyanaten, Hydrazinen und anderen Zusatzstoffen herangezogen werden. Zweckmässigerweise werden 0,1-10 Gew % einer Verbindung der Formel I dem Bindemittel zugesetzt.
Die folgenden Beispiele verdeutlichen die Herstellung der erfindungsgemässen Verbindungen, ohne dass darin eine Einschränkung zu sehen ist.
Beispiel 1 N-[2-MethyI-5-(3-oxobutyryIamino)pentyI]acetessigsäureamid
(I, R1 = R2 = R4 = H, R3 = H und Methyl, p = 5, r = 0, A = -CH2-CH(CH3)-(CH2)3-)
In einem 5 1 Rührwerk wurde Toluol (2200 ml) vorgelegt und auf 2-8 °C abgekühlt. Diketen (797,5 g, 9,485 mol) sowie eine Lösung von 2-Methylpentan-l,5-diamin (550,0 g, 4,733 mol) in Toluol (2200 ml) wurden simultan über 6 Stunden bei 20-30 °C zugetropft. Es bildete sich eine Suspension, die eine weitere Stunde bei 30 °C gerührt und dann auf 15 °C abgekühlt wurde. Die Toluolphase (obere Phase) wurde abgesaugt. Die Produktphase (untere Phase)
wurde mit Dichlormethan (500 ml) versetzt, am Rotationsverdampfer eingeengt und bei 60 °C im Vakuum (ca. 30 mbar) getrocknet. Man erhielt 1297,9 g N-[2-Methyl-5-(3-oxobutyryl- amino)pentyl]acetessigsäureamid (90 % Ausbeute, Gehalt (Titration): 93,1 %) als gelbes, zähflüssiges Öl, das allmählich fest wird. Schmp.: 97,5 °C;

Beispiel 2 N-[2-(3-OxobutyryIamino)cycIohexyI]acetessigsäureamid
(I, R1 = R2 = H, A = Cyclohexan-l,2-diyl)
In einem 5 1 Rührwerk wurde Toluol (2300 ml) vorgelegt und auf 2-8 °C abgekühlt. Diketen (848,41 g, 10,09 mol) sowie eine Lösung von Cyclohexan-l,2-diamin (575,0 g, 5,0 mol) in Toluol (2300 ml) wurden simultan über 3 Stunden bei 20-30 °C zugetropft. Es bildete sich eine Suspension, die eine weitere Stunde bei 30 °C gerührt und dann auf 15 °C abgekühlt wurde. Der Niederschlag wurde abgenutscht, mit Toluol (2x500 ml) gewaschen und bei 60 °C im Vakuum (ca. 30 mbar) getrocknet. Man erhielt 1232,29 g (84% Ausbeute)
N-[2-(3-Oxobutyrylamino)cyclohexyl]acetessigsäureamid (Gehalt (Titration): 96,4 %) als hellgelben Feststoff. Schmp.: 147,7 °C ;

In einem 5 1 Rührwerk wurde Toluol (2000 ml) vorgelegt und auf 2-8 °C abgekühlt.
Diketen (1222,38 g, 14,538 mol) sowie eine Lösung von Diethylentriamin (500,0 g, 4,846 mol) in Toluol (2000 ml) wurden simultan über 2 Stunden bei 30-40 °C zugetropft. Es entstand ein zweiphasiges Reaktionsgemisch, welches eine weitere Stunde bei 35 °C gerührt und dann auf 15 °C abgekühlt wurde. Die Toluolphase (obere Phase) wurde abgesaugt. Die Produktphase (untere Phase) wurde mit Dichlormethan (500 ml) versetzt, am Rotationsverdampfer eingeengt und bei 60 °C im Vakuum (ca. 30 mbar) getrocknet. Man erhielt 1542,7 g (83% Ausbeute) N-[2-[(3-Oxobutyryl)-[2-(3-oxobutyryl-amino)ethyl]amino]ethyl]acetessigsäureamid. (Gehalt (Titration): 93,1 %) als ein gelbes, zähflüssiges Öl.

In einem 5 1 Rührwerk wurde Toluol (1250 ml) vorgelegt und auf 2-8 °C abgekühlt. Diketen (733,42 g, 8,723 mol) sowie eine Lösung von Dihexylentriamin (625,0 g, 2,902 mol) in Toluol (1250 ml) wurden simultan über 3 Stunden bei 20-30 °C zugetropft. Es entstand ein zwei- phasiges Reaktionsgemisch, welches eine weitere Stunde bei 30 °C gerührt und dann auf 15 °C abgekühlt wurde. Die Toluolphase (obere Phase) wurde abgesaugt. Die Produktphase (untere Phase) wurde mit Dichlormethan (500 ml) versetzt, am Rotationsverdampfer eingeengt und bei 60 °C im Vakuum (ca. 30 mbar) getrocknet. Man erhielt 1305,8 g (87% Ausbeute) N- [6- [(3 -Oxobutyryl)- [6-(3 -oxobutyry lamino)hexy 1] aminojhexyl] acetessigsäureamid (Gehalt (Titration): 90,4 %) als oranges, zähflüssiges Öl.

In einem 500 ml Rührwerk wurde Toluol (70 ml) vorgelegt und auf 16 °C abgekühlt. Diketen (36,42 g, 0,4332 mol) sowie eine Lösung von 2-(4-Aminobutylpentan-l,5-diamin (25,0 g, 0,1443 mol) in Toluol (70 ml) wurden simultan über 40 min bei 20-30 °C zugetropft. Es entstand eine Suspension, die eine weitere Stunde bei 30 °C gerührt und dann auf 15 °C abgekühlt wurde. Die Toluolphase (obere Phase) wurde abgesaugt. Die Produktphase wurde am Rotationsverdampfer eingeengt und bei 60 °C im Vakuum (ca. 30 mbar) getrocknet. Man erhielt 40,7 g (66% Ausbeute) N-[8-(3-Oxobutanoylamino)-4-[(3-oxobutanoylamino)methyl]- octyljacetessigsäureamid als gelbe, honigartige Substanz.

1. Acetoacetacetylierte Di- und Polyamine der Formel worin
R1 und R2 unabhängig voneinander Wasserstoff oder C-^-Alkyl bedeuten und
A C3_8-Cycloalkandiyl ist oder eine Gruppe der Formel
-(CR3RV[NR-(CR5R6)?],- (II)
bedeutet, worin
R Acetoacetyl ist;
R3, R4, R5 und R6 bei jedem Auftreten gleich oder verschieden sind und unabhängig voneinander Wasserstoff, C^-Alkyl oder -(CH2)„-NRR7 bedeuten;
R7 Wasserstoff oder C^-Alkyl bedeutet; p eine ganze Zahl von 2-21; q bei jedem Auftreten gleich oder verschieden und jeweils ganze Zahlen von 2—21; r eine ganze Zahl von 0-6; n bei jedem Auftreten gleich oder verschieden und jeweils ganze Zahlen von 1-6 bedeuten; mit der Massgabe, dass für r = 0 mindestens einer der Reste R3 oder R4 C^-Alkyl oder
-(CH2)n-NRR7 ist.

N- [8 -(3 -Oxobutanoy lamino)-4- [(3 -oxobutanoylamino)methyl]octy 1] acetessigsäureamid.
5. Verbindungen nach Anspruch 2, worin A eine Gruppe der Formel II mit r = 1 bedeutet, insbesondere N-[2-[(3-Oxobutyryl)-[2-(3-oxobutyrylamino)ethyl]amino]ethyl]acetessig- säureamid oder N- [6- [(3 -Oxobutyryl)- [6-(3 -oxobutyrylamino)hexyl] amino]hexyl]acetessig- säureamid.
6. Verfahren zur Herstellung von Verbindungen der Formel I gemäss Anspruch 1, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass Diketen umgesetzt wird mit Di- oder Polyaminen der Formel
R'HΝ-A'-ΝHR2 (III), worin
R1 und R2 die oben angegebene Bedeutung haben und A' C3_8-Cycloalkandiyl oder eine Gruppe der Formel
bedeutet, worin p, q und r die oben angegebene Bedeutung haben und
R8, R9, R10 und Rπ bei jedem Auftreten gleich oder verschieden sind und unabhängig voneinander Wasserstoff, C^-Alkyl oder -(CH2)„-NHR7 bedeuten; n und R7 die oben angegebene Bedeutung haben; mit der Massgabe, dass für r = 0 mindestens einer der Reste R8oder R9 C^-Alkyl oder
-(CH2)„-NHR7 ist; wobei die Umsetzung derart durchgeführt wird, dass pro Amino-, C^-Alkylamino- oder
Iminogruppe ein Äquivalent Diketen eingesetzt wird.
7. Verfahren gemäss Anspruch 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass ein Diamin der Formel III, worin A' C3_8-Cycloalkandiyl oder eine Gruppe der Formel IV mit r = 0 bedeutet, mit zwei
Äquivalenten Diketen umgesetzt wird.
8. Verfahren gemäss Anspruch 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass ein Diamin der Formel III, worin A' eine Gruppe der Formel IV mit r = 1 bedeutet, mit drei Äquivalenten Diketen umgesetzt wird.
9. Verfahren gemäss Anspruch 6, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass ein Diamin der Formel III, worin A' eine Gruppe der Formel IV mit r = 2 bedeutet, mit vier Äquivalenten Diketen umgesetzt wird.
10. Verfahren gemäss einem der Ansprüche 6 bis 9, dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass die Umsetzung von Di- oder Polyaminen der Formel III mit Diketen bei Temperaturen von 0-150 °C, vorzugsweise bei 25-35 °C erfolgt.
11. Acetoacetylierte Di- und Polyamine, erhältlich durch ein Verfahren gemäss einem der Ansprüche 6 bis 10.
12. Verwendung der Verbindungen der Formel I gemäss Anspruch 1 als Zusatzstoffe für Bindemittel, die bei der Herstellung von wasserbasierten und wasserverdünnbaren Farben, Lacken und Klebstoffen, sowie in lösungsmittelbasierten Farben, Lacken und Klebstoffen eingesetzt werden.
