Abstract

Eine Vorheizeinheit (40) für eine Fixierbaugruppe (10) einer elektrostatischen Reproduktionsvorrichtung. Die Vorheizeinheit (40) umfasst ein Gehäuse (42), das eine Innenkammer (44) bildet. Ein Heizelement (46) ist in der Innenkammer (44) des Gehäuses angeordnet. Es ist ein Luftströmungssystem (50) vorhanden, das einen Lüfter (52) umfasst sowie eine Verteilerkammer (56a), die in Strömungsverbindung zwischen dem Lüfter (52) und dem Heizelement (46) steht. In der zur Transportbahn (P) benachbarten Kammeröffnung ist ein Aufprallelement (60) angeordnet. Eine Aufprallkammer (58) steht in Strömungsverbindung zwischen dem Heizelement (46) und dem Aufprallelement (60), während ein Rückführweg (62) in Strömungsverbindung mit der Öffnung und dem Lüfter (52) steht.
Luft von dem Lüfter (52) wird durch das Heizelement (46) geführt und erwärmt, trifft in der Öffnung auf ein mit einem Markierungspartikelbild versehenes Empfangselement und wird zu dem Lüfter (52) zurückgeführt, wobei ein Austreten der Luft aus der Kammer im Wesentlichen verhindert wird.
