Definitions

  • the invention relates to a socket, in particular antenna socket, for installation in the housing wall of an electronic device.
  • An antenna cable consists of a signal leading soul, which is surrounded by a shield.
  • a female-to-male connection is used, with the female connector disposed in the housing wall and the male connector forming the termination of the cable.
  • the connection is designed so that the shield is connected to the metallic housing while the core is led through the housing wall in isolation.
  • the socket In order for the socket to be easily mounted, it is located on a small base plate, which is inserted into a housing opening. In this case, a central pin in the socket, which is connected to the cable core, connected via a Klemmschneiditati with the signal processing device.
  • the bushing consists of an outer metallic sleeve which is connected to the cable shield, and - as already mentioned - from a central pin, which is connected to the soul.
  • the sleeve thus forms at the same time the socket housing, so that it must also be designed so that the mechanical forces acting on the connection can be intercepted.
  • This arrangement has not always proved to be advantageous, so that bushings have already been proposed and are also used in which the female housing of a additional outer coupling sleeve made of plastic, which corresponds to a corresponding counter-sleeve on the plug, wherein the sleeves have only the task of producing the mechanical connection between the socket and plug.
  • the problem is to integrate the socket in a housing wall and connect to a signal processing device in the housing.
  • the invention proposes a socket, in particular antenna socket, for installation in the housing wall of an electronic device, a device-side connection to a arranged in the housing Signalausagonist announced, a shielding, which, if eingang, with the housing wall for making a connection with connected to the electrical ground potential, a transmission signal leading and connectable to the Signalausagonist owned central pin in the center of the shielding sleeve, and a coupling piece, wherein the coupling piece with a corresponding counterpart of a socket corresponding to the connector corresponds and wherein the shielding sleeve so connectable with a connectable to the housing wall metallic base plate is connected, that the coupling piece between the shielding sleeve and the base plate is held.
  • the shielding sleeve is designed so that at the same time the coupling piece is held with its attachment to the base plate, there is a simple structure that ensures easy manufacture of the socket.
  • the base plate has an opening
  • the coupling piece consists of a sleeve closed on one side by a bottom, wherein the bottom has an opening aligned in the base plate in the opening, and that the shielding sleeve at a distance from the device side Edge has a paragraph which can be applied to the bottom of the coupling piece, wherein the device-side end of the shielding sleeve is designed as a flanged edge, which engages behind the edge of the opening in the base plate on the device side.
  • the shielding only needs to pass through the base plate and the coupling piece and the protruding edge to be crimped. It has been found that this attachment is perfectly sufficient to absorb the forces acting on the socket-plug connection tensile forces.
  • a necessary insulator between the shielding sleeve and the central pin (central pin) is designed as an insulator sleeve which can be inserted from the device-side end into the shielding sleeve. Too much insertion is avoided by the fact that the insulator sleeve has a radially outwardly facing flange at its device-side end, which rests against the device-side side of the base plate or the flanged edge.
  • the center pin is connected to the fork of an IDC connection.
  • the central pin is inserted from the device end into the insulator sleeve, whereby it must be ensured that the fork is aligned according to the position of a cutting plate in the housing.
  • barbs that dig into the inner housing wall of the insulator sleeve, so that an intimate connection is formed.
  • the bag itself also has a bifurcated shape with a receiving slot in which lie the fork pieces, with the cutters of the fork projecting out of the slot inwards.
  • sockets that have a special socket housing (these are also referred to as SMB sockets), is also that this is provided with an encoder in the form of longitudinal webs, in certain angular positions on the outside of the sleeve designed as a coupling piece are arranged.
  • the corresponding counterpart in the plug has matching recesses.
  • the coding makes it possible to provide several sockets for different signal inputs on a housing and this e.g. to mark in color. A mismatch is then practically impossible, since in addition to the color coding the geometric coding described is present, so that mismatching sockets and plugs can not be plugged.
  • the coupling piece can be provided with a latching device, so that the connection can be released only after pressing a catch.
  • mutually corresponding elements can be provided on the base plate and the coupling piece be, which allow to fix the coupling piece in different angular positions on the housing wall. This is particularly advantageous if the plug has a lateral cable outlet and you want to achieve that the cable goes off in a certain direction from the housing.
  • Figures 1 and 2 show a base plate 1, which is inserted into an opening in a housing, not shown, of an electronic device and screwed there.
  • the base plate 1 then forms part of the housing wall.
  • the base 2b fits exactly between two longitudinal grooves 3 on the base plate 1, so that the coupling piece 2 can take four orientations with respect to the housing wall.
  • the shielding sleeve 7 is concentric in the sleeve 2a of the coupling piece 2.
  • an insulator sleeve 9 is inserted into the shielding sleeve 7, which has a circumferential clamping edge 10, so that adjusts a clamping connection between the two parts.
  • a flange 11 on the device-side end of the insulator sleeve 9 ensures that the insulator sleeve 9 is not inserted too far into the shielding sleeve 7.
  • the flange 11 abuts the beaded edge and thus prevents it from being bent open.
  • a central pin 13 has at its device-side end via a fork 14 of a insulation displacement connection.
  • a bend in the transition between the central pin 13 and the fork 14 ensures that the plane in which the fork is located, is offset from the central pin 13.
  • the front part of the central pin 13 is executed round, the further behind lying part in approximately square, there barbs 16 a, 16 b are provided (see enlargement in Fig. 2), which get caught in the inner wall of the insulator sleeve 9 when the central pin thirteenth is introduced from the housing-side end into the insulator sleeve 9.
  • a cutting plate is soldered on a circuit board, not shown, on which the signal processing device is.
  • the fork 14 is pushed onto the cutting plate, wherein an electrically conductive connection is established, which is further improved by cutting edges 15a, 15b on the fork.
  • the central pin 13 is connected to the Signal processing device thus connected by an insulation displacement connection.
  • This pocket 17 is likewise fork-shaped, with slots 14 on the inner side of the fork 14, in which the fork 14 lies, with the cutting edges 15a, 15b, as shown in FIG. 1, protruding.
  • This pocket 17 is connected via a clip connection with the base plate 1.
  • the pocket 17 at its base plate facing the end of two hooks 19a, 19b, which engage in corresponding openings 20a, 20b in the base plate 1.
  • FIG. 1 socket The fully assembled according to FIG. 1 socket is inserted into the opening of a housing wall, not shown.
  • the fork 14 engages around the cutting plate, whereby a secure electrical connection between the central pin 13 and the signal evaluation device is made.
  • the outside of the sleeve 2a of the coupling piece 2 is provided with longitudinal webs 22, which form an encoding due to their angular position.
  • a plug which has grooves in corresponding angular positions, is attached to the coupling piece 2.
  • a latching hook 23 is provided, which is clipped into a corresponding latching groove on the plug, so that the connector can be claimed to train, without loosening.
  • the plugs have a lateral cable outlet. Due to the orientation of the coupling piece 2 on the base plate 1, the direction of the cable outlet is thus given, which is changed if - as explained above - the coupling piece 2 has previously been attached to the base plate 1 in a different orientations.
