  • the invention relates to a baffle for securing the position of containers on board Ships according to the preamble of claim 1 and 4. Furthermore, relates to Invention a method for stowing containers on board ships according to Preamble of claim 12.
  • Containers are secured on board ships in a variety of ways. Under deck jammed containers are passed through in container stacks at outside corners upright guidance, so-called damming columns, secured. In addition, dunnage between facing corner fittings of superimposed containers arranged.
  • the storage columns are usually placed so that they cover the outer corners of 40 'containers lead and thereby form so-called jam cells.
  • jam cells for 40 'containers are also stowed, shorter 20' containers.
  • consecutive 20 'containers take the place of a 40' container.
  • two 20' containers each a 40 'container unit coupled together. Dams are used for this Bridge plates covering the space between the adjacent face of the bridge consecutive 20 'containers.
  • the invention is based on the object of a baffle and to create a method for stowing containers, with which the (international) Safety regulations can be easily fulfilled.
  • a baffle to solve this problem has the features of claim 1. Accordingly, stowage cones are provided, which are particularly useful when connecting 20 'containers to a 40' container unit for locking with lower corner fittings upper container are formed. This makes it possible to have the baffle pieces already to be provided outside the ship on the containers and the baffle with the Containers on board on lower containers or corresponding foundations on the To lower the load compartment floor. Dangerous work by auxiliary personnel on the containers in the hold of ships can be omitted.
