Definitions

  • the invention relates to a high-pressure fuel accumulator for a common rail fuel injection system of an internal combustion engine, having a tubular base body, is welded to the at least one socket for connecting a high-pressure line.
  • Such a high-pressure fuel storage is e.g. in EP 0 866 221 A1.
  • a high-pressure pump possibly with the aid of a prefeed pump, conveys the fuel to be injected from a tank into the central high-pressure fuel accumulator, which is referred to as a common rail.
  • Power rail lines lead from the rail to the individual injectors which are assigned to the cylinders of the internal combustion engine.
  • the injectors are controlled individually by the engine electronics as a function of the operating parameters of the internal combustion engine in order to inject fuel into the combustion chamber of the internal combustion engine.
  • the object of the invention is to improve the quality and safety of the high-pressure connection points in a high-pressure fuel accumulator of the type described.
  • the inventive High-pressure fuel storage be simple and inexpensive to produce.
  • the collar serves to introduce the welding current required to weld the socket.
  • the welding electrode is applied to the end remote from the base of the socket. This spatter can get into the interior of the socket and damage a thread provided there.
  • the geometry inside the bushing may undesirably deform due to the temperatures encountered during welding.
  • a bore emanates, which opens into a receiving hopper, which widens outwardly and serves to receive an end of the high-pressure line, by a substantially hollow cylindrical Press screw is pressed high-pressure-tight against the receiving hopper, and that the sealing point is surrounded by a substantially hollow cylindrical insulating ring.
  • the insulating ring safely prevents electrical shunting when welding the socket.
  • the insulating ring ensures that no welding spatter can reach the sealing point when welding the socket.
  • Another particular embodiment of the invention is characterized in that the insulating ring is pre-assembled in the socket, and that the inner circumferential surface of the insulating ring bears against the outer circumferential surface of a projection in which the receiving hopper is formed. This ensures that the sleeve is centered during assembly prior to welding relative to the projection.
  • Another particular embodiment of the invention is characterized in that the end of the high pressure line is spherical, and that the inner diameter of the extruder screw is greater than the outer diameter of the high pressure line. This allows an exemption of the high pressure line relative to the socket. This provides the advantage that any installation tolerances in the engine compartment can be compensated.
  • Another particular embodiment of the invention is characterized in that the facing to the tubular body end face of the socket is chamfered inwards.
  • the bevel facilitates access to the joint between the bush and the tubular body.
  • the high-pressure fuel accumulator shown in cross-section in Figure 1 comprises a tubular body 1.
  • a longitudinal bore 2 for storing the highly pressurized fuel.
  • From the longitudinal bore 2 go from a plurality of transverse bores, of which in Figure 1, only one, namely the transverse bore 3 can be seen.
  • the receiving bore 4 has a conical shape and forms a sealing surface for a ball-shaped end 5 of a high-pressure line 6.
  • the spherical end 5 of the high-pressure line 6 passes into a region 7 with an enlarged outer diameter , Following the area 7 with extended outer diameter, a pressure shoulder 8 is formed on the outside of the high-pressure line 6.
  • a reduction 9 in Appendix which is formed on the inner circumference of the end facing the tubular body 1 end of a compression screw 10.
  • the prescrew 10 has substantially the shape of a hollow circular cylinder, through which the high-pressure line 6 passes.
  • the compression screw 10 is provided with an external thread 11, which cooperates with an internal thread 12 which is formed in a hollow cylindrical bushing 13.
  • a collar 14 is provided at the end facing the tubular body 1 end.
  • a chamfer 15 is formed on the side facing the tubular base body 1 end face of the bushing 13.
  • the chamfer 15 is arranged approximately perpendicular to a countersink 19, which is formed on the inner circumference of the bushing 13.
  • a circumferential edge which is rounded and rests on a flat surface 20 which is formed on the tubular base body 1.
  • the connection between the bushing 13 and the tubular base body 1 is effected by a weld 16.
  • a projection 17 rises on the tubular base body 1.
  • the projection 17 has the outside of the shape of a cylinder which is surrounded by an insulating ring 18.
  • the insulating ring has the shape of a hollow circular cylinder which is fitted in the bushing 13.
