Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device for a centrifugal dehumidifier for the separation and dehumidification of granules.
  • Centrifugal dehumidifiers are used, for example, to dehumidify Plastic granules used. It is easy to clean Process rooms important because when changing the granulate color or Sort the mix of granules or fragments of the previous one must be avoided with the new batch. Furthermore are long service life of the device parts, low abrasion of the parts to be dehumidified Granules and low noise emissions are important.
  • centrifugal dehumidifiers according to the German published documents DE 195 37 41 A1, DE 43 30 078 A1 and DE 28 19 443 A1 and according to US patent 5,611,150 consist of a housing in which a Hollow body made of seven, rotatable with conveyor blades mounted, vertically arranged rotor coaxially encloses.
  • the sieves either form a closed cylinder or are segmented. she extend from the floor to the one at the top, Granules drop zone and are only used by fasteners as well possibly interrupted by a feed chute.
  • the suspension of granules and liquid becomes the lower area the centrifugal dehumidifier continuously fed, in the Space between the rotor and the hollow body formed from sieves. It is gripped by the rotating blades of the rotor, which is both an upward transport pulse and Transfer centrifugal forces to the suspension.
  • the Granules both transported upwards and between the sieves and tossing the shovels back and forth while those of the Granules separate liquid through the sieves and through the drain nozzle of the housing that houses the centrifugal dehumidifier is derived.
  • Centrifugal dehumidifiers of this type have proven themselves in principle. adversely is the contamination of the sieves with fragments of the granules, so that these screens are disassembled and cleaned before every color or type change or need to be replaced. Sieves also wear out relatively strong, are easily damaged when they are changed frequently generate abrasion on the granules to be dehumidified. For dehumidification of highly abrasive granules, such as with glass fibers filled plastic granules, they are therefore unsuitable. Still is the sound emitted by the impact of the granules on the sieves is considerable.
  • centrifugal dehumidifiers can be used isolate against excessive sound emissions, but this insulation is complex, because the accessibility of the sieves can be closed, such as folding doors, etc., on the housings.
  • the invention has for its object to a centrifugal dehumidifier create that reduces the abrasion of the granules.
  • an essential part is preferred at least in the upper area of the hollow body, as an unperforated jacket educated.
  • the liquid separated from the granules flows in Influence of centrifugal and gravitational acceleration on the inner wall of the unpunched jacket spiral down.
  • the unperforated Coat with its smooth inner surfaces causes little wear.
  • the unperforated cladding causes little sound, so that the hollow body where it is designed as an unperforated jacket, can also serve as an outer housing.
  • the lower region of the hollow body is preferably with sieve segments populated, or the hollow body is completely unperforated Sheath formed with a sieve in the lower region of the hollow body.
  • the main advantage of the invention is that, if at all, only small screen areas cleaned before changing color or grade or must be replaced. Remains of granules adhering to smooth walls are easy with the help of washing nozzles or by flooding the washable in the entire process room, whereas they are in sieve holes wedge. In addition, the elimination, at least in part, is reduced of an outer casing enclosing the process space the costs.
  • the shaft (5) of the rotor (1) is a centrifugal dehumidifier in a bearing housing (2) rotatably and over a pulley (3) from a, shown in Figure 2, motor (4) in Rotation can be set.
  • the rotor (1) consists of one, the bearing housing (2) enclosing pot (6), on which several holders (7) for the lower Conveyor blades (8) are mounted, and an intermediate disc (9) and an upper disc (10) for. Fastening the middle and top Holder (11, 12) for the middle and upper conveyor blades (13, 14).
  • the pot (6) of the rotor (1) is coaxial with fixed sieve segments (15) and a filling shaft (16) enclosed on a cubic Outer housing (17) are attached, with at least one removable or a hinged plate (18) for screen installation, a drain pipe (19) and an air blow-off pipe (20) is provided.
  • the top one Area of the rotor (1) encloses a flange-mounted on the outer housing (17), Unperforated jacket, flared in the shape of a truncated cone (21) with a granulate discharge nozzle (22) which is supported by a cover (23) with an air intake grate (24), a filter mat (25) and a support grille (26) is closed.
  • FIG. 3 shows a centrifugal dehumidifier, the one with conveyor blades (27) equipped rotor (28) designed as a closed hollow body is completely enclosed by an unperforated jacket (29), one has a cylindrical / conical shape.
  • the one with the rotor (28) coupled motor (30) is flanged onto the cover (31).
  • the lid (31) contains air intake openings (32).
  • the lower shaft (35) of the rotor (28) is rotatably mounted in a bearing housing (34), which is located in the base (33).
  • a tangential granulate discharge nozzle (36), in the lower area a filling shaft (37) and a downcomer (38) is arranged.
  • the downcomer (38) enters Air blow-off pipe (39) and has a vertical pipe (40) which in the Flow tank (41) with siphon (42) is immersed. Between the unpunched A screen (43) can be attached to the jacket (29) and the downcomer (38) become.
  • the filling shaft (16) is continuously loaded with suspension.
  • the liquid is in the lower area against the sieve segments (15) the outer housing (17) flung.
  • the unperforated jacket (21) flows down the inside of the wall until it Flows through sieve segments (15). All of the liquid leaves the Centrifugal dehumidifier through the drain port (19).
  • Through the lid (23) Air sucked in is partly with the granules, partly through blown off the air blow-off pipe (20).
  • a suction fan can be connected to the air blow-off pipe (20).
  • centrifugal dehumidifier differs differ from that of Figures 1 and 2 in that the rotor is completely enclosed by an unperforated jacket (29), so that all the liquid flows down the inside wall and if available, the relatively small sieve (43) in front of the downcomer (38) happens.
  • the vertical tube (40) the drain shaft into the liquid level of the flow container (41) with siphon (42). This arrangement is provided in the event that a suction fan is connected to the air blow-off pipe (39).
  • the area of the small sieve (43) is particularly sufficient if the liquid content of the supplied suspension is low.
  • the drain shaft (38) of a central dehumidifier 3 can be designed in such a way that the screen (43) with is interchangeable in a few simple steps. It is also possible to be complete to dispense with the sieve (43) and the draining liquid in the some granules may be contained in an upstream thickener to recirculate. Suspensions from liquids and granules are easy to thicken, the screens of static thickeners hardly incline for clogging, easy to clean and more accessible, than the screens of centrifugal dehumidifiers that only take safety measures may be opened.
  • the unperforated jacket (21, 29) can also be cylindrical throughout.
  • the liquid flows on the inner wall of a cylinder slower than in an extended one Cone, but ultimately the cost decides which form of the jacket and the rotor (1, 28) is more appropriate.
