Definitions
- the invention relates to an electroacoustic transducer based on the capacitor principle is based, with an essentially rigid electrode and with a membrane flexible electrode, the distance in the center region of the electrodes between the membrane and the rigid electrode is less than in the edge area and optionally with a resonator attachment.
- Such a converter is known from W082 / 00745 A1.
- the rigid electrode a convex shape on its side facing the membrane, which means that of radius distance between the membrane and the rigid electrode different from radius is obtained.
- the rigid electrode is only by individual hooks in the upper area of a insulating housing held between which the air in a behind the fixed membrane trained chamber can flow, whereby the characteristic and in particular the Directional characteristic of the microphone can be adapted to the desired values.
- a completely different converter is designed as a hydrophone and from the SU 1 784 111 A3 known:
- a rigid and a vibratory Electrode used, the vibratable electrode from a dome-shaped Teflon plate is made, the edge of which is free outside the rigid electrode on one Protrudes the housing and the apex of which rests on a screw cap whose twisting changes the height of the Teflon dome by elastic deformation and so the radiation characteristics of the hydrophone are adapted to the desired values can.
- the flexible electrode can consist of plastic and an electrically conductive Material, optionally gold, can be coated, depending on the rigid electrode Type of charge application, made of conductive or insulating material Charge carriers or an electrically conductive coating or layer.
- the Contact can be made in a variety of ways and is not part of the invention.
- the frequency response of such transducers is very much influenced by a resonator attachment and its boundary.
- the resonator attachment is parallel to the two electrodes and generally consists of a film that is significantly thicker than the membrane and has openings around which To allow passage of sound and to influence it at the same time.
- This resonator attachment is held in the capsule of the converter (converter housing) by a ring, the Height also affects the transducer characteristics.
- the rigid electrode can be flat or curved and the membrane can be elastic, be partially plastic or plastically deformed.
- a is in the center region of the rigid electrode at least essentially circular projection, optionally in one piece, to which the flexible electrode rests, for example is glued on. in case of a
- This center area is preferably free of charge carriers for electret microphones.
- the membrane in the center region of the resonator attachment an at least essentially circular projection directed towards the membrane, optionally in one piece.
- the membrane can be attached to this Tab be glued to ensure that they are not pulled towards the rigid electrode and sticks there under the influence of the opposite charges.
- the flexible electrode (membrane) is preferred pressed on the projection, this in turn preferably by a nipple, which in the The center of the resonator attachment is attached or provided and the flexible electrode presses against the projection with elastic deformation of the resonator attachment.
- a resonator attachment 4 is arranged on the front side of the membrane 7 and is held by a retaining ring 2 held and in the illustrated embodiment by flanging the edge of the Housing 5 is fixed.
- the rigid electrode 8 now has an im in its central region essential circular cylindrical projection 9, to which the membrane 7 by means of a Nipples 3 is pressed.
- the contact pressure stems from the elastic deformation of the Resonator attachment 4, on which the nipple 3 by inserting a projection in a central opening of the resonator attachment is attached.
- the circular cylindrical projection 9 a height of about 20 ⁇ m to increase the capsule sensitivity by 3 dB (decibels) and still reliably sticking the membrane 7 to the rigid electrode 8 avoid.
- the electroacoustic transducer works according to the electret principle and the rigid one If the electrode carries the charges, the circular-cylindrical projection 9 remains preferred unloaded, but the charge carriers reach right up to the ledge. If the membrane 7 carries the charges, it is advantageous to bear against the projection 9 Leave the area of the membrane free of charge.
- the figure also shows openings in the rigid electrode 8 which prevent that the membrane 7 has to vibrate against an air cushion while the openings are not shown in the resonator attachment. Because these are elements of the prior art, further explanation of these details appears in the Description not necessary.
- the nipple 3 can be made of plastic, for example ABS (acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymers), consist.
- ABS acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene copolymers
- the dimensions or relations shown in the schematic figure are not as To see to scale, but it has been found that the nipple 3 a cheap noticeably larger (preferably by at least 10%, particularly preferably by at least 20%) in diameter than the projection 9, and that its outer edges are noticeable rounded (radius of curvature preferably at least equal to 1 mm) are what the projection 9 is not important.
- the projection 9 (with a typical diameter of 5 to 15% of the free electrode diameter) should in turn be cylindrical or at least almost have cylindrical outer surface so as to ensure that the membrane 7th already just radially outside the end face of the projection 9 a relatively large distance from rigid electrode 8.
- the spacer between the membrane 7 and the resonator attachment 4 may be different (e.g. ring-shaped) and different attached, e.g. be glued.
- the membrane 7 can also be placed directly on the projection 9 glued or welded to it (ultrasonic welding). It is possible to on the side of the membrane facing away from the projection, a reinforcement plate or to apply a reinforcement ring.
- the electrodes and the Resonator attachment be at least substantially circular, but are for Special applications also conceivable deviations from the circular shape.
