Definitions
- the invention relates to a connector for an electrical Plug connection with a plug insert Housing on which a containing the cable feed Connection cover is attached, with a locking bracket, the one with its two stirrup legs on opposite Sides on the connector housing is pivotally mounted.
- the swiveling locking bracket serves to insert the plug in lock its position connected to an outlet.
- the locking bracket usually has two mutually projecting locking projections, for example in the form of rotatably mounted rollers that in the locked state behind an abutment on the Grab the socket into which the plug is inserted.
- a such locking between the plug and the socket is required if it is a plug connection in the Motor vehicle construction is concerned.
- the socket is usually on attached to the back of a motor vehicle and in unused condition due to a spring-loaded hinged lid locked.
- the connector is connected to the via a cable electrical system of a vehicle trailer connected and has on its top a platen on which the Hinged lid of the socket rests when the plug is inserted is. Such plugs are known.
- the pivot bearing of the locking bracket usually has on the two opposite side faces of the Plug housing protruding radially outwards on, each in a bore of the associated stirrup leg takes hold.
- the manufacture and assembly are proportional expensive, especially since there is an external stop on each bearing journal must be provided to prevent accidental loosening of the Prevents stirrup leg.
- the object of the invention is therefore a connector train the type mentioned so that the production and in particular the assembly is considerably simplified be and a secure fixing of the locking bracket on Connector housing is guaranteed.
- the Locking bracket on each of its two bracket legs has mutually projecting bearing projections, the in each case radially outwards and axially to the connection cover open storage pan on the outside of the Plug housing are added that the bearing pan in axial direction through a stop surface of the connection cover is limited and that a stop on the The outside of each stirrup leg is arranged.
- the assembly of the locking bracket is therefore only the two bearing projections of the locking bracket in the Insert pans. All further measures for Fixing and securing the locking bracket on Plug housings are made by simply attaching the Connection cover causes, without additional Assembly measures would be required.
- the stop is preferably integral with the Plug housing runs and engages over a concentric edge section of the stirrup leg extending to the bearing projection. This is a simple, but also proportionate strong, resisting, secure establishment of swiveling bracket leg on the connector housing guaranteed.
- the locking bracket is made of sheet metal and each bearing projection by an inwardly drawn frame a hole is formed in the stirrup leg.
- connection cover with the connector housing connected by means of a bayonet connection and in its Connection end position locked. So that is in the Connection end position an exact relative position of the Connection cover to the connector housing and thus an exact Relative position of the bearing pan to the one that limits it Stop surface of the connection cover specified.
- the connector 1 shown in Fig. 1 is part of a electrical connector between a motor vehicle and a vehicle trailer.
- the connector 1 is intended in (Not shown) outlet on the back of the To be plugged into the motor vehicle.
- the connector 1 has a connector housing 2, the one (Not shown) plug insert with plug contacts contains. At the top of the connector housing 2 is one piece a support plate 3 arranged in the assembled state a spring-loaded hinged lid carries the socket in which the plug 1 is inserted.
- the connector housing 2 has a connection cover 4 closed, which the (in Fig. 1 with dash-dotted lines only indicated) cable feed 5.
- One made of sheet metal existing locking bracket 6 has two on both sides of the Plug housing 2 lying bracket leg 7 and is pivotally mounted on the connector housing 2.
- Two on the locking bracket 6 rotatably mounted rollers 6a are intended in the locked position behind a locking abutment to grip the outside of the socket to keep the connector 1 in its inserted position and secure.
- a handle 9 projecting downwards Locking bracket 6 serves the locking bracket 6 from its locking position shown in Fig. 1 down to pivot to release the lock when the Plug 1 is to be removed from the socket.
- each of the two stirrup legs 7 is one Bore 8 pulled inwards to form a frame 9 (5).
- the frame 9 forms an inwardly projecting Bearing projection 10, each in a bearing pan 11 the two opposite sides of the connector housing 2 is recorded.
- the bearing pan 11 is one in the Side view enclosed approximately U-shaped edge 12. How 5, each bearing pan 11 is radially towards open on the outside, so that the bearing projection 9 into the bearing pan 11 protrudes.
- the bearing pan 11 is also open in the axial direction towards the connection cover 4, as can be seen from Fig. 4.
- a stop 13 is integral with the connector housing 2 executed and reaches over a concentric to the bearing projection 10 extending edge section 14 of the stirrup leg 7.
- the holding stop which is also open towards the connecting cover 4 secures the position of the bearing projection 10 in the bearing socket 11 in the radial direction by bending the bow leg 7 and thus a release of the bearing projection 10 from the Bearing pan 11 prevented.
- the two bearing projections 10 are axial Direction (from the left in Figs. 1 and 4) in the two Bearing pans 11 introduced, the same time the edge portion 14 is inserted under the stop 13.
- connection cover 4 on the Plug housing 2 After inserting the plug insert (not shown) in the connector housing 2, the connection cover 4 on the Plug housing 2 placed and connected to this.
- the at least two angled bayonet guides 15 on the connection cover 4 has (Fig. 4). In each case projecting inwards, not Shown pins on the connector housing 2 engage in the Bayonet guides 15 a.
- the connection cover 4 After the axial postponement and Twisting the connection cover 4 engages at least one on Connection cover 4 arranged latching tongue 16 in the connection end position engaging behind a stop 17 on Plug housing 2. In this connection end position, each of the two bearing pans 11 in the axial direction by a Limited stop surface 18 of the connection cover, whereby the Bearing projection 10 in the bearing pan 11 also in the axial Direction is set pivotable.
