Definitions
- the invention relates to a holding device for fixing the axial Location of a square pin relative to a lock nut on the one hand and one Door or window handle on the other hand, according to the preamble of Claim 1.
- Such a holding device is used in square pins are not permanently attached or molded on the door or window handle, but instead moved axially between the handle and the lock nut can be.
- This can be particularly the case with so-called half sets be the case in which the lock nut only with one, at one Side of the door or window arranged handle is connected.
- the holding device prevents the square pin inadvertently wanders along its longitudinal direction and thereby out Engage with the lock nut or with the door or window handle.
- Holding devices which have a spiral spring, which surrounds the square pin and between the lock nut and the handle is arranged. These known holding devices can be wrong Dimensioning of the spring undesirably high permanent spring forces exercise the lock nut or the locking mechanism.
- GB 194604 describes a device for adaptable fastening Knobs or the like on a square pin known. This The device has a threaded connection between a thread projection a knob on the one hand and a fastening ring that can be screwed to it on the other hand.
- US-A-2,947,561 describes a door fitting in which two are also used Door handles by means of a threaded connection at a variable distance from each other can be attached to a square pin.
- This task is performed by a holding device with the features of Claim 1 solved.
- the square pin is thus secured in its axial position by the the basic pin attached to the lock nut and with the base element connected to the counter element on the door or window handle or rests on a corresponding rosette, or vice versa. Consequently is the arrangement of basic element and counter element within that Chamber trapped, which is standard for doors in the door profile, for example as a space between a mortise lock having the lock nut and the door surface is provided. The depth of this chamber is usually referred to as the x-dimension of the door profile.
- the counter element is attached to the base element at the latest when mounting the square pin on the door or window in such a way that the axial length of the arrangement of the base element and counter element corresponds to the x dimension or is just below it.
- This one-time setting of the length of the arrangement of basic element and Counter element can take place automatically in an advantageously simple manner, for example by attaching the handle or the rosette the door or the window the counter element on or in the base element is pushed.
- the one-time setting of the relative position of the base element and counter element is by the on the base element and / or the counter element provided fixing device permanently set so that a axial play of the assembled square pin is eliminated and no undesirable constant spring pressure forces act on the lock nut.
