Definitions
- the invention relates to a blocking device for at least one pull cord, in particular for use with a curtain system.
- Generic blocking devices also used as cord locks in curtain systems or cord brakes are already known, e.g. a curtain pull cord holding in a fully or partially open position (consisting of several Individual laces can be locked) by means of a loosely guided pinch roller is, the switch between free actuation and locking or blocking the cord e.g. by pivoting sideways, i.e. by swiveling parallel to the curtain level.
- the actuating end portion of the pull cord must be accomplished what Space is often a hindrance and also use in inclined curtain rails ("Slope systems") difficult or practically prevented.
- Such known blocking devices are particularly when used with a Curtain system disadvantageous in that a tight fit of the movable curtain track almost impossible to reach against the fixed curtain rail when locked is because the pull cord for establishing the blocking state is always a certain amount Move back, i.e. must move into the curtain system before the blocking effect occurs so that the movable curtain track is always more or less hangs down a great deal and moreover usually takes an oblique position. This is very unaesthetic.
- the object of the invention is to provide a blocking device for a pull cord, especially for use with a curtain system to create the above
- a blocking device for a pull cord especially for use with a curtain system to create the above
- No longer has disadvantages, i.e. which ensures that the pull cord to achieve the blocking effect not or at least only insignificantly against the direction of pull must run back, in which a lateral pivoting (in the curtain level) no longer is absolutely necessary and can also be used in slope systems.
- a blocking device for at least a pull cord especially for use with a curtain system, solved with a Cord guide base, which has a guide surface provided with a concavely rounded recess, has a drain edge and a first clamping surface, and pivotable with one mounted clamping element, the pivot axis parallel to the drain edge and in the area the center of curvature of the recess is arranged opposite this and which has a second clamping surface with a first and a second clamping section, wherein in a blocking position of the clamping element, the first clamping section immediately adjacent to the recess and the second clamping section immediately adjacent the first clamping surface is so that one between the clamping element and the cord guide base guided, at least one pull cord is clamped between them, and wherein in a release position of the clamping element, the second clamping surface a distance from the guide surface, Has trailing edge and first clamping surface which is so large that the pull cord is free is movable.
- the cord guide base may have one or more side walls on which the clamping element is mounted.
- the cord guide base can be fitted with tabs for fixing to a mounting rail, especially curtain track.
- the cord guide base can be box-shaped be formed with side walls and rear wall.
- the cord guide base is a deflection element for deflection the pull cord, in particular by 90 °.
- a separate guide element in the cord guide base is used, the top of which forms the guide surface. It is preferably provided that a Bottom wall of the cord guide base forms a spring tongue on which the guide element is resiliently supported.
- the guide element can be on an opposite edge of the drain End section on a bearing pivot on the line guide base be kept.
- the recess can be in the form of a circular section in cross section, the pivot axis of the clamping element lies in the center of the circle.
- the guide surface is substantially perpendicular to the first Clamping surface runs.
- the first and / or the second clamping surface can have a gripping profile, in particular be provided with barb-shaped teeth.
- a cord guide for receiving the at least one pull cord is pivotally held on the clamping element.
- the line guide can help the introduction of the pull cord can be divided and two can be locked together Have half shells.
- the swivel axis of the line guide can be perpendicular to the Pivot axis of the clamping element can be arranged.
- the blocking device essentially consists from a cord guide base 1, a clamping element 2 and a cord guide 3.
- the cord guide base 1 is essentially box-shaped with a bottom wall 5, an end wall 6, a rear wall 7 and side walls 8, 9 are formed.
- the side walls 8, 9 leave a lateral passage 10 between them and are provided with tabs 12, 13, with which an attachment of the cord guide base 1 or the entire blocking device at an end section of a curtain track or the like is possible.
- 1, 2, 5 and 7 show a "left", i.e. at a left end as seen from the actuation side a device to be attached to a curtain rail, of course also mirror-symmetrical trained ("right") devices may be used where appropriate is as they are shown in the other drawing figures (Fig. 3, 4, 6, 8-10).
- FIG. 1 there is a clamping element between the end wall 6 and the side wall 9 2 arranged, which is pivotally mounted about a pivot axis 15.
- a cord guide held pivotably about a pivot axis 16 3 attached, which has a passage 18 extending in its longitudinal direction Includes the pull cord (Fig. 5, 7).
- a pull cord to be blocked with the blocking device in a desired position 20 extends in the manner indicated by the blocking device, wherein the pull cord 20, e.g. Coming from a curtain system, first the free area between the tabs 12 and 13 and the passage 10 between the side walls 8, 9 passes through and deflected horizontally by 90 ° on the side wall 9 or on a deflection element 21 becomes. The pull cord 20 then passes through a space between one Support or guide surface 23 and a second clamping surface 28 of the clamping element 2 (Fig. 5, 6). On the guide surface 23, in which a concave recess 24 is formed, is followed by a drain edge 25 and a first clamping surface 26.
- the second clamping surface 28 has a first clamping section 31 and a second clamping section 32.
- the guide surface 23 is initially flat and goes then into said concavely rounded recess 24, the recess 24 expediently over the entire width of the bottom wall 5 between the end wall 6 and side wall 9 runs.
- the recess 24 can in cross section (Fig. 5, 6, 7) circular arc or in the form of a segment of a circle or in the form of a segment of a cylinder, the center point of the circular arc or the cylinder axis preferably near or on the Pivot axis 15 lies or coincides with this.
- the recess 24 could have a larger or smaller radius of curvature than the distance to the pivot axis 15 corresponds, or also have a non-circular cross-sectional contour.
- the guide surface 23 is not only designed as the top of the bottom wall 5, but rather as the top of a separate guide element 34 (FIG. 6), which can be made of a special material (wear-resistant, etc.) and with its own bearing axis 35 is pivotally mounted on the cord guide base 1.
- the guide element 34 can be moved downward, ie away from the clamping element 2, against a restoring force (and thereby pivoted about the axis 35) (arrow 42) if a corresponding force acts on it from the direction of the clamping element.
- the bottom wall 5 is provided below the guide element 34 with a U-shaped incision 41, so that a spring tongue 36 is formed.
- the spring tongue 36 is provided at its free end with a nose 37 which bears against the guide element 34.
- An edge 40 of the bottom wall 5 opposite the U-shaped incision forms a stop for the yielding movement of the guide element 34.
- FIG. 9 the vertical movement range of the guide element 34 is explained in a sectional view (with a total of seven pull cords 20) and with " a" designated.
- the trailing edge 25 of the cord guide base is expediently slightly rounded and forms a transition from the guide surface 23 and recess 24 to the first clamping surface 26.
- Die first clamping surface 26 is advantageously with straight or barb-shaped teeth Mistake.
- the cross-sectional contour of the second clamping surface 28 of the clamping element 2 corresponds (Fig. 5, 7) the course of the recess 24, drain edge 25 and first clamping surface 26 overall and is also conveniently provided with prongs that are barb-shaped can be shaped.
- the cord guide 3 which is pivotable with the pivot axis 16 on the clamping element 2 is held, has an elongated, in cross-section, for example, round, oval or square Passage 18 through which the pull cord 20 is passed.
- the cord guide 3 is divided and consists of two half-shells that are locked together allow easy insertion of the pull cord without laborious threading.
- the blocking device results from a Summary of Fig. 1, 5, 6 and 10, the blocking device in the release position 2, 7 and 8, which show the blocking position.
- This is in the release position Clamping element 2 by interaction of pull cord 20, which in the pulling direction 29 below Tension is present, and cord guide 3 as far from recess 24, trailing edge 25 and first clamping surface 26 pivoted away that between the said areas and second clamping surface 28 of the clamping element results in a space which is so large that the pull cord 20 along the bottom wall 5 or guide surface 23 and over the trailing edge 25 can move without touching the clamping element 2, or at least without that Significant friction occurs between the clamping element and the cord guide base.
- the first clamping section acts 31 as a retracting and the clamping effect reinforcing clamping area, whereby a self-locking effect is achieved, and the second clamping portion 32 as the actually clamping-holding clamping area, the clamping force of which is increased by the cord pull.
- the slight but important vertical range of motion of the guide member 34 generally improves the response and release behavior of the blocking device and supports the "gripping" with a relatively weak cord pull. In addition, the flattening of the Cords balanced in operation.
- the actuation of the pivoting movement of the clamping element 2 could also be seen by a separate actuating device take place, but in particular when using the Blocking device with a curtain system actuation via the pull cord and a line guide is a particularly useful solution.
- the arrangement of a recess 24 in one opposite the pivot axis 15 Area has the particular advantage that the pull cord 20 in the course of the blocking process (Swiveling movement of the clamping element 2) a little against the pulling direction 29, i.e. is shifted towards the passage 10, but on the other hand a certain Compensation for this inherently undesirable decrease is achieved in that the Pull cord is simultaneously moved into the recess 24, which is a certain shortening of the pull cord section located between the blocking device and the curtain system compared to the originally straight line and thus a compensation of the Slackening causes.
- With a correspondingly deep design of the recess 24 can be achieved be that the pull cord led out of the passage 10 when blocking not or only by an extremely small amount against the pulling direction 29 of the pull cord emotional.
- the blocking device according to the invention thus has a number of advantages known devices.
- the special training of Guide surface in cooperation with the clamping element results in a blockage or Locking the pull cord practically without easing, which is especially when used in Curtain systems means a significant advantage over previous cord brakes.
- by virtue of the self-locking effect of the blocking device results in a precise Locking one or more pull cords even with a heavy load (e.g.
