Definitions

  • the present invention relates to an apparatus and a method for cutting one path and to redirect the resulting signatures into two Transport paths of a web-fed rotary printing press.
  • a material web e.g. B. printed on a paper web and then cut into signatures in a cutting unit, which are then in folded in a folder or processed in any other way.
  • signatures To arrange or fold in the desired way, the signatures are often in for example, two streams of signatures directed and braked.
  • US 5,607,146 is a device for deflecting products in one Folders described.
  • the web is signed by a pair of cutting cylinders cut, which are then picked up by a pair of conveyor belts.
  • each The conveyor belts include a raised surface that is level with the other Band interacts.
  • the signatures are due to the raised areas of the tapes alternately offset with respect to a center line so that a signature is slightly to the left and the subsequent signature is shifted slightly to the right.
  • the Signatures past a guide element depending on whether it is left or have been moved to the right on the pockets from side by side Paddle wheels pass that the right paddle wheel has a signature offset to the right and the left paddle wheel picks up the subsequent signature shifted to the left.
  • the Terms "left” and "right” are used here only for descriptive purposes.
  • the signatures are accordingly divided into two by the pockets of the paddle wheels different signature streams split.
  • the devices described in the cited documents have the disadvantage on that the signatures completely at a relatively large distance from the tapes be severed, what the transfer of signatures from the cutting device to the Eihist bands. In addition, the top ends of the signatures are poor be supported. These disadvantages can result in damage or failure Redirect the signatures. In addition, the signatures are juxtaposed Arranged devices redirected, which often takes up much space takes.
  • WO 97/24284 A discloses a method and a deflection device according to the preamble of claims 1 and 8.
  • the object of the present invention is to provide a reliable device and a to create a reliable method for redirecting signatures. Another job the invention consists in the space required for a deflection device to reduce.
  • the inventive method for cutting a web and redirecting the The resulting signatures include the following steps: First, the Partially cut web so that partially cut web sections result.
  • the partially cut web sections are cut in by means of a cutting device Cut signatures.
  • a first volume is covered by at least part of the Cutting device guided.
  • the signatures are between the first volume and one second volume recorded in such a way that the signatures are alternately offset, so that a first and a second signature stream arise.
  • the method according to the invention advantageously makes it possible by means of the two Steps performed that the signatures closer to the last one Cutting device can be detected so that the web during the cutting process can be held securely in position by the pair of bands. The tension and the exact positioning of the web is maintained during the entire cutting process. In this way, the signatures are also reliably deflected.
  • the Signatures are positioned on the cutter so that its leading edge is on a rear edge of an elevated portion of one of the tapes. That way positioning the tapes in close proximity to the cutting process enables what at the cutting devices of the prior art, which only one cutting process provide is difficult or impossible to reach.
  • the first and second signature stream are preferably on a first or a second boom, for example, as Braking devices can be formed.
  • the boom can for reasons the space saving can be arranged one above the other.
  • the first Signature stream offset in a first direction, captured by the first boom, by the second, released tape released and supported by a first signature support surface.
  • the second signature stream is preferably shifted in the opposite direction, so that it is led past the first signature support surface.
  • the first volume and the The back of the first signature support surface can then be used to support the second Signature stream are used.
  • the second signature stream is then preferably held by a third band and the first band and to the second Boom transported.
  • the deflection device comprises a first cutting device for partial cutting of the web, a second downstream of the first cutting device Cutting device to completely cut the web, so that a variety of Signatures, and at least a first volume and at least a second volume, which hold the signatures, the first band increasing at least a first one outer section and by at least part of the second Cutting device runs and the second band at least a second raised outer portion, and wherein the first raised outer portion and the second raised outer section cooperate to take the signatures alternately in to put different directions so that a first and a second Signature stream are formed.
  • An advantage of the device according to the invention is that the voltage and the correct positioning of the web is maintained during the cutting process since two Cutting devices are provided since the first band passes through at least part of the second cutter runs and since the resulting staggered arrangement enables effective redirection of the signatures.
  • the tapes Preferably there are more bands than just the first band and the second band provided, and the tapes preferably form a plurality of in pairs interacting, spaced-apart bands.
