Claims (15)

  1. Method of cutting a web and of diverting signatures, wherein the web (5) is cut by a first cutting device (12) to form a plurality of partially cut web sections; wherein
    a first belt (30) is guided at least through part of a second cutting device (14); wherein
    the partially-cut web section is cut by the second cutting device (14) to form signatures (7), and wherein
    the signatures (7) are gripped between the first belt (30) and a second belt (40) in such a way that the signatures (7) are offset into different directions in an alternating way so as to form a first stream of signatures and a second stream of signatures,
    characterized in that the first belt (30) has a first raised outer portion (31) and the second belt (40) has a second raised outer portion (41), with the first raised portion (31) being located opposite a non-raised portion (42) of the second belt (40) and the second raised portion (41 ) being located opposite a non-raised portion (32) of the first belt (30), and with the signature (7) being fed between the first belt (30) and the second belt (40) in such a way that it either rests on the first raised portion (31 ) or on the second raised portion (41 ).
  2. Method according to claim 1,
    characterized in that the first belt (30) and the second belt (40) pass through non-cutting spaces in the first cutting device (14).
  3. Method according to one of claims 1 or 2,
