Definitions
- the invention relates to a suction device attachment Wet cleaning of surfaces, especially vertical ones Surfaces with a liquid application device the features of the preamble of claim 1.
- Cleaning devices for the wet cleaning of surfaces, in particular of vertical window surfaces are in one Variety of variations known. They exist for the time being from a suction device, which next to a suction device also via a reservoir for the cleaning liquid disposes.
- the cleaning liquid is pressurized from the suction device via a pressure line fed to the actual cleaning device attachment and there over nozzles, brushes, sponges or the like applied to the surface to be cleaned.
- the applied Liquid is then removed from the suction device often slot-shaped suction mouth and the adjoining one Suction channel sucked up again.
- Such Cleaning devices are mostly designed as industrial devices and accordingly voluminous and expensive and for not suitable for normal household use.
- a cleaning device is known from EP 0 243 323, in which a liquid application device with a cleaning liquid or a cleaning steam there is supplied via a pressure line.
- a liquid application device with a cleaning liquid or a cleaning steam there is supplied via a pressure line.
- the area is the liquid application device there provided with a sponge that is inside a suction cup housing around a surface to be cleaned parallel axis pivotally arranged in a working position is. Parallel to the length of the sponge or its axis and thus transverse to the usual working direction is also a slit-shaped suction mouth above the surface to be cleaned, with a sealing lip just sitting on it.
- Suction cup housing and suction mouth are with a suction channel in connection within which also the pressure line arranged for the supply of the cleaning liquid is.
- Cleaning device attachment and the cleaning device form a functional unit and cannot be used in isolation from each other.
- a Suction device attachment for wet cleaning of surfaces described which as preferred also in the sense of this Invention as a front attachment of pure suction devices, e.g. household suction devices are also used. It is there as here important that a pressure line from the suction device to the liquid application device can be omitted and the suction device alone on the possibility a suction, so no tank system and pressure system especially for the cleaning liquid contains.
- the liquid application device of the suction device attachment described provided with its own cleaning liquid tank, a separate supply line for the cleaning liquid can be omitted.
- the security concept continues The measure takes into account behind any Phase separator a safety valve in the suction direction still to be provided, namely one in the suction direction splash water valve located behind the phase separator, if there is insufficient phase separation closes the cross section of the suction channel.
- a safety valve in the suction direction still to be provided, namely one in the suction direction splash water valve located behind the phase separator, if there is insufficient phase separation closes the cross section of the suction channel.
- Modern household vacuum cleaners come with overload protection devices provided today so that the closing of the Suction channel causes no problems, but rather the suction device even when larger amounts of liquid appear, which is the capacity of the phase separator overwhelmed, reliable before entering is protected from liquids.
- In development provided that in the phase separator separated liquid in a tank outside the Suction channel is collected. This will narrow the cross-section of the suction channel avoided flow losses in the suction channel are also kept low.
- This feature also has the advantage that if there is a leak in the tank liquid into the suction channel itself does not occur.
- the tank be operationally detachable is connected to the suction device attachment.
- Such Measure facilitates the handling of the invention Suction device attachment considerably.
- the tank is annular designed the suction channel and / or encloses and / or an outer wall of the suction device attachment too trains.
- the tank is designed as a disposable cartridge is. This is particularly advantageous if it is further provided that the tank with a liquid absorbent material, an absorbent, is filled. It is then a sloshing back and forth an amount of liquid inside the tank excluded. As a result of the latter measure then also with the tank inflow by a wrong one Handling the vacuum attachment no liquid emerge and if necessary into the further suction channel reach. In particular, it can then also be provided be that the tank in the suction direction behind the tank inflow the separated liquid with the suction channel is connected via an intake duct.
- the centrifugal forces responsible for phase separation are regularly by a flow deflection caused, for example by baffle walls an essentially Z-shaped flow inside of the suction channel.
- the tank supply of the separated liquid For example, be provided, namely where the turning radius is closest.
- the Centrifugal forces caused by vortex formation in the liquid-air mixture are caused. This means, that the flow of the aspirated mixture into rotation is transferred.
- the centrifugal forces move heavier Particles, namely entrained water droplets, dirt or the like from the outer circumference and can be separated from the gaseous phase there become.
- Such a rotatory component of the flow can in a swirl duct section of the suction duct be generated. This is done in the swirl channel section of essentially rotationally symmetrical and in particular round cross section preferably tangential introduced the flow of the liquid-air mixture. Due to the vacuum on the suction device side gets inside of the swirl channel section this flow too another component in the suction direction, but retains nevertheless the rotary component of the movement of the Liquid-air mixture.
- phase separators are in the technology of so-called cyclone separators have been trained, which here also for Can come into play.
- the vortex formation by arranged on the outside on a flow body Guide vanes is achieved.
- the flow body is hemispherical or mushroom-shaped, the rounded Surface opposes the general flow direction.
- the rounded head in particular has one reduced diameter compared to the flow channel on.
- the resulting annulus becomes partial interrupted by the outside on the head area of the flow body arranged guide vanes. Latter cause a radial acceleration of the impinging Liquid-air mixture.
- These vanes are radially aligned in one embodiment. It turns out However, it is also advantageous that a continuous, helical guide vane is. This winds around the flow body and is more preferably connected to the same material.
- the vane is radial with an inner wall of the suction channel. So it is provided that regardless of the design of the guide vanes at least the radial support of the flow body in the flow channel, causing further fixings and means for fixing the Flow body can be dispensed with in the flow channel can.
- a continuous, helical Guide vane is further provided that two courses are formed. With this configuration the vane of the flow body resembles one two-start screw thread. It is also proposed that that the flow body has radial breakthroughs has, for the passage of the gaseous phase.
- the preferably rotationally symmetrical flow body executed hollow, with suction from the Inside is done.
- the radial openings open approximately across the axis.
- Swirl to achieve radial acceleration forces, and hard flow deflections in the area of the radial openings, to achieve inertia forces, the liquid phase is separated from the gaseous.
- the passage the gaseous phase from the outside of the flow body is done radially inwards. Due to the radial acceleration is the liquid phase over the Radial openings in a radially outer Forwarded annulus.
- the Area viewed in the axial direction behind the guide vanes is slightly smaller in diameter compared to the rounded area supporting the guide vanes of the flow body.
- the radial openings arranged in the transition area between these two flow body sections.
- atomized liquid drops from which To separate gaseous phase, it is provided that the Flow body inside in an area in the direction of flow before the radial openings at least partly with a liquid absorbent material is filled.
- This material e.g. a foam, is in an undercut in the interior of the flow body arranged. Due to the hard flow deflection in the area of the radial openings Air flow in the interior of the flow body initially counter deflected the general flow direction.
- the rounded head region of the flow body causes then again a reversal in the usual flow direction.
- the liquid absorbent Material arranged to be the gaseous Phase to remove any residual moisture.
- the flow body in the direction of flow is arranged in front of the tank.
- the separated liquid Phase is on the outer surface of the flow body over the radial openings in the direction of flow transported to hereafter in the Flow body following tank to be collected.
- the flow body spring-supported against an end face of the Tanks is charged.
- Tank and flow body can thus be formed in two parts, giving the possibility consists of making the tank interchangeable.
- the tank is preferred as a liquid absorbent Material formed, for example in the form of a separating sponge.
- a liquid-air mixture with a rotary Movement component in the suction channel on a cross section of the suction channel almost filling funnel-shaped Narrowing hits within which the gaseous Phase is forwarded and over the edge of the liquid Phase is separated and from there, for example, into the derived at the beginning of the ring-shaped tank becomes. Due to the centrifugal force, the heavier water droplets, entrained particles or the like on the outer edge of the flow cross section essentially located and from there over the edge derived from the funnel-shaped narrowing on the outside.
- the Dimension of the funnel-shaped narrowing is given on the Shut down operating conditions, i.e. e.g.
- a Phase separator still has a splash valve provided, preferably one transverse to the direction of flow valve slide arranged within the suction channel has in the flow direction against the force a spring the cross-section of the suction channel on impact sealed by splash water.
- the arrangement affects the amount of liquid and Suction vacuum in a common direction on the Slider, which also ensures secure closing becomes.
- the spring can be used as a tension or compression spring be trained and is accordingly upstream. downstream of the flow direction on the slide to arrange attacking.
- the slider is further preferred guided in a tube section and passed the gaseous phase the slider by radial external openings.
- Fig. 1 shows a suction device attachment 1 in a longitudinal section perpendicular to a surface 2 to be cleaned, with a liquid application device 3 in a resilient supported work situation.
- the liquid application device 3 has its own Tank 4 for a cleaning liquid, not shown on. This measure can be taken a pressure supply line for the cleaning liquid be dispensed with by a suction device.
- the suction device attachment 1 in connection with usual For example, to use household vacuum cleaners.
- the bristle row 5 is exemplary by an angle of about 45 ° of the surface to be cleaned 2, whereby one such bristle row 5 also a good mechanical one Cleaning effect comparable to a cockroach.
- the liquid application device 3 is in the double arrow direction 10 in the working position shown in Fig. 1 slidable against the force of a spring 11, which here formed as a compression spring sits on a pin 12. At the other end, the spring 11 is supported on one Pin 13 on a holding plate 14 of a suction duct housing 15 from.
- a suction channel 20 is located within the suction channel housing 15 arranged, the entire suction channel 20 here Derivation of a suctioned off from the surface 2 to be cleaned Liquid-air mixture from a suction mouth 21 to a suction hose 22 to one Suction device, not shown here, for example a conventional one Household vacuum cleaner is understood.

- Suction channel 20 receiving suction channel housing 15 covers arcuate the liquid application device 3 over an angle of approx. 70 °.
- Suction channel 20 receiving suction channel housing 15 covers arcuate the liquid application device 3 over an angle of approx. 70 °.
- the marginal areas transversely to the working direction 8 there can also be an overlap through the suction duct housing 15, however these areas remain preferably from an overlap free and can, if necessary, be perpendicular to surface 2 standing cleaning areas in the plant, for example Window frames or the like are brought.
- the slider 25 is essentially strip-shaped and has a bend 27 of 180 °, so that according to Art a protruding leaf spring, the handle 26 can be depressed is. Pressing this down will make a bolt 28 from the locked position shown in FIG brought a middle of three recesses 29 and is then within a slot 30 in the suction duct housing 15 slidable. Through the engagement of the bolt 28 in one of the recesses 29 can three slide positions be locked.
- FIG. 4 shows in the area of FIG Suction mouth 21 offset cut the handle 26 in a retracted position.

- the suction mouth 21 is only in this inactive position with a sealing lip 31 on the to be cleaned Surface 2 and can be applied by means of the sealing lip 31
- Cleaning liquid for example, withdrawn and / or also be sucked up. An order of cleaning fluid however, does not take place.
- the leadership 37 consists of an extension piece 39 of Liquid application device 3, which in one Sliding part 40 of round cross section that ends in one Guide channel 44 of the suction channel housing 15 is linearly displaceable is.
- Such guides 37 are preferred end with respect to the longitudinal extent of the liquid application device across the working direction also arranged according to arrow 8.
- the Guide 38 preferably provided, cf. also Fig. 3.
- This guide 38 consists of a mushroom head 41 with a hat 42 of round cross-section that in undercut Engage grooves 43 in the liquid application device 3, see. Fig. 7.
- the outer cross-sectional area facing the surface 2 to be cleaned the suction mouth 21 is slit-shaped Suction nozzle 50 less than 5 mm wide here approx. 1.5 mm to 2 mm compared to a subsequent one Suction channel section 51 reduced. In the suction direction this cross-sectional constriction has a length that corresponds approximately to their width. Following the suction nozzle 50 the aspirated liquid-air mixture deflected for the first time, for which purpose in the sealing lip 31 corner 57 deflecting the flow direction is. It goes the sealing lip 31 in the further course of suction channel section adjoining the suction nozzle 50 51 directly and continuously into the suction mouth 21 delimiting inner wall 52 over.
- the flow of the extracted Liquid-air mixture is further Course of the suction channel section 51 one more time redirected at position 54 in a Z-shape before the liquid-air mixture enters a suction chamber 53.
- This deflection 54 by standing in a cutting shape to each other Surfaces 55, 56 also prevent in particular Connection with the formation of the suction nozzle 50 a drop from the suction mouth 21 when the suction device is switched off becomes.
- the ribs 61 thus also grip a plurality of suction channel sections 51 between them a, which open into the common suction chamber 53.
- the common suction chamber 53 there are several, here two manifold branches 63, 64 connected, the only idealized here by the summary of line lines 65 of the aspirated liquid-air mixture flow are shown.
