Definitions

  • the invention relates to an electrical connector element according to the preamble of claims 1 and 5 respectively.
  • a separate contact part is usually attached to the stripped end of an electrical line, with which connection to a contacting point of a complementary plug connection element can be produced.
  • an electrical line with which connection to a contacting point of a complementary plug connection element can be produced.
  • for isolation, protection and better handling and to ensure a functionally reliable detachable connection cable end and separate contact part are surrounded by a connector housing. Often the line is stored together with the attached contact part floating in the connector housing.
  • This conventional plug structure adds cost by making and attaching a separate contact part to the cable end. Moreover, the additional contact parts lead to an increase in weight of the entire connector.
  • a receiving part has a plug slot with ausfedernden contact tabs.
  • An associated plug part has a plug-in bar with a bore, through which a wire serving as a contact wire of a cable is inserted.
  • an electrical connector between flexible lead wires and electrical conductors having a carrier with holes for receiving one or more flexible lead wires.
  • the lead wires each have a non-insulated end whose original shape has remained approximately unchanged.
  • the carrier serves the separable and electrically conductive connection with the electrical conductor.
  • the connector has a holding part for the carrier for releasably holding the lead wires in this. This is done in such a way that the lead wires can be inserted into or removed from the carrier or can be separated from the conductors together with the carrier and the holding part.
  • a connector is known in which a first connector element receives a ribbon cable with a plurality of conductors and a second connector element is provided with a corresponding number of contact springs. Each of the contact springs comes into contact with a conductor without sliding friction.
  • Object of the present invention is to develop an electrical connector element such that a simple and cost-effective way a functionally reliable electrical connection of an electrical cable is possible in areas where vibrations and vibrations occur.
  • a central idea of the invention is to use the stripped ends of the wires of a cable, which are held in a housing, directly and even as contact elements. These wires come directly into direct contact with associated contact elements of a complementary connector element. By this measure, a separate, to be attached to the vein Contact part omitted. This can be dispensed not only on the production of such a contact part, but also on the process step of the arrangement of such a separate contact part to a line end.
  • the ends of the wires are housed or embedded in the housing so as to allow a motion-free connection between the ends of the wires and the associated contact elements of a complementary connector element when connected to the complementary connector element state.
  • the compound is also gas-tight.
  • the ends of the wires can rest on the one hand on a housing inner part and on the other hand on the associated contact elements of the complementary connector element.
  • the ends of the wires on the one hand and the associated contact elements on the other hand pressed together in an assembly of the electrical connector element with its complementary element, so that it is not only a gas-free, but a motion-free electrical connection between the electrically conductive elements of the two connector elements comes.
  • the reliability of the connector is thus guaranteed even in those applications where vibrations, vibrations or other forces acting on the electrical connection forces occur.
  • the housing with the stripped ends of the wires is designed such that a substantially frictional and insertion force-free contact with the complementary connector element is possible.
  • This measure is used in particular to avoid surface damage when merging the two serving as contact elements, conductive parts. If the ends of the wires and the contact elements of a complementary connector element on the merge of the two connector elements to each other, they rub against each other, which may damage or affect the surface of the various conductors. This is conventionally prevented by surface treatment with a friction-resistant material, for example gold.
  • the electrical connector elements, in particular the housing be designed so that the ends of the wires and the contact elements do not touch in the first step of the merging. After the substantially complete merging of the two housings, the associated ends of the wires and the contact elements are brought together by a relative pivoting movement of the housing without sliding frictional and endlagenionat in abutment.
  • a preferred embodiment of the invention is characterized in that the ends of the wires are molded and / or surface-treated.
  • the ends of the wires are molded and / or surface-treated.
  • the surface treatment also serves to protect the cable ends.
  • the ends of the wires may be bent or otherwise deformed. This can be on the one hand create larger contact surfaces between the ends of the wires and the contact elements of the complementary connector element.
  • the two aforementioned types of treatment can also be combined.
  • the ends of the wires can be tinned and subsequently formed or deformed.
  • the housing is molded or cast on the cable according to a particular embodiment and is preferably made of a plastic material.
  • both the housing of the electrical connector element as well as that of the complementary connector element is substantially large design freedom.
  • the two housings are first assembled by a linear displacement and then brought by a mutual pivoting movement into an end position, after which the contacts of the electrical connector elements come to rest on each other.
  • Essential to the invention is that the ends of the wires directly serve as contact elements for direct contact with associated contact elements of the complementary connector element.
  • the complementary connector element may also be formed according to the invention, i. the contact elements are formed by the wires themselves.
  • FIG.1 a longitudinal section through an electrical connector with a connector element according to the invention and Fig. 2 a conventional electrical connector.
  • a conventional electrical connector as in Fig. 2 is shown comprises two connector elements 60 and 70, which are joined together.
  • the connector element 60 comprises a cylindrical housing 62, which is approximately U-shaped in cross-section. Coaxially received in the housing 62 is a contact pin 64 projecting into a cavity.
  • the housing 62 is present element of a device not shown and attached thereto.
  • the contact pin 64 extends into the device itself and provides an electrical connection to another electrical conductor.
  • a housing 72 of the second electrical connector element 70 is formed complementary to the housing 62 and can be moved in or on this.
  • the electrical connector element 70 comprises, in addition to the housing 72, a line 74 with an electrical wire.
  • the end of this lead 74 is stripped and a separate contact member 76 is attached thereto.
  • the separate contact part is made entirely of metal and has at its front end a mouth-like opening 78 into which the contact pin 64 can be displaced when joining the two housings 62 and 72 to form an electrical connection. When pushing the contact pin 64 into the mouth-like opening 78, it is slightly pushed apart.
  • FIG. 1 illustrated example of an electrical connector according to the invention now advantageously avoids the separate contact part 76 of a conventional connector according to Fig. 2
  • This in Fig. 1 illustrated electrical connector element 10 is intended to those with reference numeral 60 Fig. 2 correspond.
  • an attached to a device housing 12 is provided with a substantially U-shaped cross-section, in which a contact pin 14 is received.
  • This connector 20 comprises a cable which is inserted into a housing 22 and enclosed by this.
  • the housing 22 is formed in particular on the cable and consists of plastic.
  • a stripped end of the cable, which releases the wire 26, is tinned on the one hand, on the other hand, it is deformed such that the largest possible contacting surface with the contact pin 14 of the complementary plug connection element can be formed.
  • a recess 23 is provided, into which the contact pin 14 is moved when merging the two housings 22 and 12.
  • the end of the core 26 is now arranged in the housing so that it rests on the one hand on a housing inner wall 21, on the other hand accessible from the recess 23.
  • the contact pin 14 is moved into the recess 23.
  • the two housings 22 and 12 are formed so complementary to each other that they can be positively moved into each other.
  • the two housings 22 and 12 may be locked by a latching connection, so that the release of the releasable connection is possible only via a resistor. This avoids unintentional disconnection.
  • the invention is characterized in that the housing to be joined together - so the coupling - are designed so that the end 28 of the Ad 26 does not come into contact with the contact pin 14 when merging the housing. Only by a pivoting or rotation after the substantially complete merging of the two housing parts 12 and 22, the ends 28 of the wires 16 are brought to slide against each other to the plant. This procedure avoids friction-induced damage to the conductor surfaces.
  • the invention can also be applied to connectors having a plurality of wires.
  • Present is in Fig. 1 for clarity, only one electrical connection shown.
  • the design of the housing is in the field of design of a designer and can be determined by the application.
