Definitions

  • the invention relates to a device that can be used when cutting hair.
  • the invention is implemented on a pair of scissors which has two cutting blades which are connected to one another in an articulated manner. Such scissors are known per se for cutting hair.
  • thinning scissors are known in which a cutting blade is narrower in the area of its last third than in the rest of the area and has a straight cutting edge. This shape also makes it possible to cut contours with these scissors. Hair thinning is only possible to a limited extent with the known scissors because there is a risk of cutting off parts of the hair entirely. This is not desirable for technical reasons.
  • a pair of scissors is known in which a cutting blade has a slot parallel to the back of the scissors or to the cutting edge.
  • a guide element can be inserted into this slot, which can be used to cut flat materials, e.g. Lighten fabrics or foils.
  • the measure is known from US Pat. No. 2,328,975 A for attaching a toothed, additional cutting blade to a cutting blade of a pair of scissors.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a device of the type mentioned, with which the thinning of the hair is possible without the risk of cutting off part of the hair entirely.
  • this object is achieved with a device which has the features of the characterizing part of claim 1.
  • the device according to the invention is preferably designed as scissors.
  • the device according to the invention is designed as scissors, it is possible because of the blade attached to the tip of at least one cutting blade and extending transversely to the longitudinal extent of this cutting blade, to cut hair selectively and to thin out hair selectively and selectively with one and the same device. This thinning is possible from the base of the hair to the ends of the hair. It is advantageous in this embodiment that the annoying and time-consuming changing of the device (scissors) is eliminated.
  • the rounded tips protruding on one or on both sides of the blades allow the scissors to be guided along the scalp without any risk of injury consists.
  • the descenders created here are particularly advantageous for frizzy haircuts or for very thick hair. In contrast to the scissors according to the invention, such short lengths cannot be carried out with known scissors with high accuracy.
  • the additional blades provided according to the invention can be provided on one of the cutting blades or - preferably - on both cutting blades of a hair cutting scissors.
  • the scissors according to the invention can additionally be used for thinning the hair in a conventional manner. This has the advantage that it is no longer necessary to change the scissors when thinning out or when descenders are to be produced.
  • the tip can be exchanged with the transversely oriented blade, blades that have become blunt can easily be replaced by new, sharp blades, or even blades with a different shape (for example straight or inward-pointing). curved, concave cutting edges).
